Well that is nice to know. My friend told me CA internals are shit but I don't exactly trust him on some things. I got the CA because I had the money in cash and didnt want to go through the trouble of ordering it online. I'm going to be using it as a designated marksman sort of rifle, upgrade the spring on it and use .23's or .25's for longer range.
Sorry but your friend is a idiot. CA used to be garbage but now they are a great airsoft brand (someone I know has a CA M15 and has been running fine for 2 years without problems).
They had a bad generation like last year but they're pretty reliable out of the box.
They had a bad generation like last year but they're pretty reliable out of the box.
The yellow piston horror. They tended to strip after about a month of use. But they are generally fine now. My friend has but a season of hard use on his G3A3 and had no issues. That reputation still plagues them though.
Awesome. So I still feel good that the CA was a good choice :) Although G&G might have been slightly better.
Gah Airsoft looks awesomely awesome but holy shit it costs a lot.
Gah Airsoft looks awesomely awesome but holy shit it costs a lot.
This is what I thought when I first started, my advice: save up for a ECHO 1 or CYMA (cm.030 > ) Both are good, affordable choices for a starter. Make sure to get a smart charger as your next purchase.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=154_155&products_id=2911 The price on this isn't completely out of reach. I'd like it to have a wood finish but w/e. I don't know. There isn't much of a airsoft "scene" in Montana.

Heres a longer version which would most likely be a better choice for longer range shooting.
Naw, I would much rather have the shorter one. The M-14 is a massive freaking gun and I don't think I would want to be doing much long ranged work. Actually I think the biggest airsoft facility in my state is an indoors CQB thing so it's a safe choice.
Christ, I hate not having an official airsoft field around. The first game I've played in over a year, and all my friends are either nowhere to be found, or have bailed out.

i remember someone on red wolf did that it's the best idea ever Ahah found the video, He filled them with BB's also so when the recoil happens it makes "Sweet music"
lol the price just went down to 9.99
if i already didn't just purchase a DBCustom TBB i would could have purchased 8 of these.
http://www.tacticaltrunkmonkey.com/ Why The Hell Not? :smug: *images*
I'm doing this.

But seriously thanks for not coming in here and asking stupid questions and demands, and not really caring about the answers. Welcome to the airsoft forums.

Even the shorter one might be a bit big depending on the field you play at.
http://shop.georgiaairsoft.com/tsdtacticalsd87tl3-shotpumpshotgun.aspx Question about this gun. How the hell do you adjust the hopup? On the manual's cover and on the box it says "ADJUSTABLE HOPUP" but then reading the manual I saw it said fixed?
It's fixed
Well that is BS. I love how the front of the box says ADJUSTABLE HOPUP. Stupid TSD Tactical. Ah well I still enjoy the gun. [editline]12:10PM[/editline] lol fuck me I read it wrong
mine says fixed. So they might be reusing a box or something.
No. I read it wrong rofl. It just says HOP UP. I dunno where I got the adjustable from.
Oh yeah, mines says HOPUP too on it then on the detail notes it says Fixed Hopup
Very tricky. But the shotgun I have is pretty good. It's got some nice accuracy, like the bb's stay a bit closer so it's more like medium range than short.
PEW PEW PEW I'm gonna shoot you with my plastic gun
PEW PEW PEW I'm gonna shoot you with my plastic gun
most guns are full metal ;)
Even then, plastic is sometimes better then metal. I'd rather had Tokyo Marui plastic then pot metal.
This may be a bit of a dumb question, but is removal of the orange tip common?
extremely common.
