The cameramans telling everyone where everyone else is? What the...?
Yeah. These were some of our last games so it was sorta at the goofing off phase. Probably will mention it next time we play though. But if ya think about it, in the one vid, the guy being filmed was the last guy still in. So unless the cameraman was filming a wall for some reason, it was pretty obvious where the guy was to the other team.
MUST BUY FN2000! Twas the first gun I ever wanted in airsoft as I wanted unique, alas I learned it was jls and my dreams died.
Somthing tells me that I made you're day just then :D I too wanted a Fn 2000 as my first airsoft gun, but when I heard about the well... questional build quality of the JLS Fn 2000 I wasn't best pleased but now... I shall express my thoughts via facepunch smilies :woop::woop::woop:
A Fn 2000 That isn't shitty? WHAT THE FUCK
My thoughts exactly facepuke
Holy crap! My OPSGEAR order is FINALLY arriving tomorrow. :woop: I get to look snazzy tomorrow evening, not that I'm going anywhere :smith:
Does anyone here go to the Airsoft Extreme in LA? I checked their store and I saw that they didn't sell BB's, of any kind, on there. I thought this was ridiculous. They do sell BB's in the LA store...right? I can't imagine they wouldn't, but before driving all the way over there best make sure they do. [editline]03:37PM[/editline] Okay nevermind. BB's are in the accessories (What?) section.
My ten year old brother had his first airsoft war with his friends today. I thought it would be the least I could do to let him use my old AK. A bit of an unfair advantage when the rest of them all have spring pistols, but oh well :v:
I wouldnt say an airsoft war is fun with spring pistols.
I wouldnt say an airsoft war is fun with spring pistols.
It's fun if it's: 1. When you're 10 2. With a bunch of other 10 year olds. 3. Have a fucking electric AK when everyone else has springers
Spring gun wars are fun when everyone has them and when your with a group of guys who normally use AEGs. It brings back old memories for us, and it's mostly for shits and giggles. Gameplay is completely different then from when you use an AEG or GBB.
Think WWI tactics. Pop out, shoot, get back in cover, repeat.
Think WWI tactics. Pop out, shoot, get back in cover, repeat.
Wrong 1. Pop Out 2A. Get shot by sniper 2B. Get out of trench 3A. Get shot by Sniper 3B. Get mowed down by MG repeat
Wrong 1. Pop Out 2A. Get shot by sniper 2B. Get out of trench 3A. Get shot by Sniper 3B. Get mowed down by MG repeat
you forgot 1B. Stay in trench 2AA. Get gassed 2AB. Get shelled. EDIT: 2AC. Get trenchfoot
OR 1C. Shoot yourself in the foot so you can go home.
4: Survive the war and suffer from multiple mental disorders and internal organ issue from mustard gas. Theres No A or B for 4.
I can see a ww1 game now, Private, rush the sunken mud trenches full of artillary fire, mustard gas, snipers and machine guns. Oh and while you are trying to get around this I need you to go and get me some baby powder for my trench foot, this will happen right as you are about to the objective but that's ok just mannage to get back here with that powder private then if you go back and the objective is blocked (it will be) just come on back and we can figure this out.
the trench might as well be the respawn and each trench 100feet away (so even the shitty chinas can reach)
No the whole point is to cross one trench to get the powder for that man's foot. You also would have another objective but that is never completed.
Weapons for World war one games would be expensive 1000USD wallhangers that are made by obscure chinese toy companies that have little knowledge of how to make an airsoft gun. Anyone remember the Japanese TYPE-99 LMG? Yeah, 1200USD for a 200fps AEP that's only quality was how accurate it was to the real thing.

One of the bigger flops I can recall in these past years. I mean if you have the time and money to build something like that, you should have enough resources to design a larger gearbox to work in it, or some other method of firing.
Dude, it was a WWII gun made by KTW, their guns are considered rare and hard to find regardless, they make like 5 guns a year.
What a shame :(
Wow, you're telling me they couldn't fit a M249 gearbox in there? Really? Looks like the barrel was made on a manual lathe, making it hard to repeat exactly and quickly. Seems odd that they wouldn't use a CNC lathe to mass produce them. Makes me wonder if they manually machined the rest of the parts, that would explain why they don't make many. With a CNC machine it's actually cheaper to make large runs of parts at the same time than to set it up to make a couple of parts. I can tell you from personal experience that setting up a single part, doing dry runs and making adjustments can take hours, if not days if you're screwing up and having lots of problems. After that, cutting a second or third part is as simple as pressing start. Only takes a few minutes to an hour depending on the size, material and number of operations. Magazine looks like it was made with a mold, inner surfaces don't have a nice finish to them, so that should have been easy to mass produce. Honestly I don't know how this company makes any money, they definitely are not being cost effective. If I had to guess it's more of a side hobby project for them.
When you're looking at it, it seems like even if it was a good gear box, the magazine is a midcap.. on an LMG. What the fuck were they thinking? Whoever bought one of these was either: 1. Desperate for a type 97 or 2. Braindead enough to buy an over-sized AEP
If you're going milsim then midcaps are just fine for a LMG. But still, a hicap could have been made. Just take a standard hicap, flip it upside down and insert a spring loaded follower to push the bbs up to the winder, like P90 hicaps. Hmm, that's making me think. Add a follow like that to any hicap mag and you won't have to worry about the sound of bbs rattling around giving away your position. And it wouldn't be that hard to make either.

trust me, even in the WWII airsoft community these things are non existent. They were simply made to hang on your wall and have the ability to have stuff come out the barrel. I think the cheapest gun they made was like a Springfield 03 for like $1.5k
The Mosin for 1.5k and is about accurate as a crosman springer
Just got back from the first game in a long time. Here's the thread about it: http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27020
