I'll just leave this here...
changing ACU makes it no longer ACU
ACU is a decent camo pattern you fuckers.

Barely decent. Borderline mediocre. I mean, its damn near useless in woodland environments, and its not so great/pretty bad in desert/urban desert. And its really only moderately good in a normal urban environment.
Its only good spots are rocky areas and old couches.

ill fuck you anyday
Woodland based camo is the only camo that will work in a strictly woodland area, making a universal camo for this kind of area is almost impossible. Desert wise I think ACU does fairly well, in the dark brown and tan of some areas it does indeed do poorly but in other areas of afghanistan and iraq it does surprisingly well. All of this is just my opinion though, what's also my opinion is that a universal camo is fucking retarded, I just think ACU gets shit on way more than it should.

Invisible camo.

Quoted for Truth.
Its the fact that its a universal pattern that makes it suck. Its really not strong in any environment. A better uni-camo would be something like multicam, which is good in arid environments, while not being totally useless in a woodland area like ACU.
Though I agree, a universal camo is a dumb idea. Its just an attempt to save money.
Mach1 Airsoft managed to legally get full metal guns into Canada. They're really fucking expensive, but now there's a lot more variety in guns.

Just recently, the Army released a newsletter. They're changing the Uniform from ACU to Multicam for soldiers fighting in Afghanistan.
Nothing's final yet, but it sounds like they're one phone call away from replacing ACU in Afghanistan.

As if we didn't already have enough guys on the field wearing Multicam, now everyone is going to be wearing it.
At least I can say I was one of the first to adopt it when it was still $130 a set.

old news, they've been testing multicam with the rangers in afghanistan for months, its currently competing with like 4-5 other patterns including a new form of ACU and an almost digital flecktarn. I personally think multicam will win though I think it's wrong, I think the army should adapt the same idea that the USMC has, arid and woodland uniform with the same gear.

yes, that's a ranger

the idea behind acu is that instead of being really sucky at one place, it spreads the shit all over so it covers just a bit of everything. Basically, jack of all trades, master of none.

Sorry but this is really old. We've had Cansoft for awhile now. Tokyo Marui is finally making Cansoft guns too now but they are stupidly expensive.

Cansoft = guns with plastic tinted bodies
What I'm talking about = full metal guns

Anyone know where to buy a Russian tourniquet? Like the pink ones you see wrapped around AKS stocks a lot.
Eh, this problem turned up with my cheap $35 RDS. It's good as far as illumination, mounting, zeroing, etc except one thing. It does this.

It doesn't really bother me, I've come to just ignore the second dot, but I'm curious as to how this happened.
The smaller dot is the correct one. The bigger one is useless. In real life they're perfectly clear, just the bigger one is well...bigger. Blame my crappy camera for the distortion. Point is, there's 2 dots.
They don't even look like dots the smaller one looks like the lambda logo.
That's my shitty camera.

Jesus christ it does!
its normal to have a slight reflection of the correct dot, even on real steel. Given that its a knockoff this might have been exaggerated unintentionally.

Join the forums, plenty of people sell them there.
Some people call it the ghosting effect. I know both of my Eotech clones have a faint ghost of the crosshairs shifted down and to the side. Annoying yes, but you get use to it. Surprisingly my Aimpoint replica doesn't have this problem, only the EoTechs.
