I just realized how disturbing a certain event between two janitors was.

one time i saw a kid with his pants down and his legs spread and another kid playing "limbo" under his dangling peen and balls in 3rd grade.
i said "i wont tell" because they threatened to say i was doing it too if i told.
What an astounding read. I laughed. I cried. I lost 15 pounds.
^ That'll be a great story to tell when these kids have become gay and meet the parents, and they tell how they meet one another.
I remember in elementary school, our classroom started smelling like shit. My teacher told us that if nobody confessed to soiling their pants, the janitor would come in and start feeling our asses for the presence of shit. The janitor came and indeed shoved his hands down our pants.
This..

...words don't describe the beauty of this story.
Can't wait for the movie.
A timeless classic with janitors, funnels, and broken zippers. Truly life changing. A must buy.
The story of the janitors may just go down in history as the most influential piece of literature in the early 21st century. Composed of perfectly crafted suspense coupled with strange imagery and a heartfelt message, it symbolizes the clash of the young and innocent in america with the harsh upbringings of janitorial life. The funnel, representing the quick and all-encompassing decent into poverty is contrasted by the bright young student it so horribly scars. The janitors, one representing the higher class, and one the lower, are characterizations so spot on it's almost eerie. The point in the manuscript where the janitors are seen being 'obviously freaked out but my (the student's) presence' is a testament to how strange a concept innocent & simple life is to a society jaded by capitalism.
5 stars out of 5.
