Oh, and european products as well. I notice we hardly heard from all the russian games and shit.
It's to allow them to charge more for different things in different regions. It's bullshit. A DVD in the US might be US$15 (reg: 1), but in Australia, the same thing is AU$50 (reg: 4).
I once found that my DVD player had a region lock code on it, which if it was deactivated, it would void the warranty, which is such shit. I also had to go and look it up on google, because the instructions said nothing about restrictions on regions. I mean most of my DVD's are imported from the US, because i didn't feel like paying $30 extra. I had no choice but to remove the region lock on my DVD player if i wanted to watch them.
It's a good thing they can't region lock my textbooks. International edition baby.
USA is dominate.
Shit like this:
If a game was released on the same day in both US and Europe, Europeans would get it some hours earlier. Now that just can't happen can it. Sigh.
They use region locking to encourage piracy so they can sue us for lots of money ! :tinfoil:
Thread is full of fucked up shit im sorry guys

I read the title as religion locking/delaying. Never browse Facepunch when you're tired.
or an American movie releases in some other country a couple weeks/days before it comes out in the US. In this case, Thor came out in Australia three weeks before it debuts in the US.
That's probably the only time that has ever happened with a big Hollywood movie.
