It's a bit frustrating trying to explain over and over again why holloywood/tv style "shoot them non lethally!" suggestions have no basis in reality in these tense situations. Again, not trying to attack or get angry at you, just the type of question that's always asked and easily refuted.

Lethal force gets met with lethal force, dude. Cops are there to enforce the law, and when in a fight, win. Not fight fair or shoot to wound. There are times a taser looks to be the best option but as you see in this video, they aren't reliable for shit, certainly not someone charging you. If a guy charges you rather than takes off and runs, it isn't because he wants to get away, it's because they want to fight you, and you better fucking win that fight or it could be your life
