I burst out laughing when all I saw when the image was loading was some giant green mushroom with glasses. Oh god I choked on my sandwich.

Sexy shit yo.
To my delight I got a free T-Shirt as well in a size I can actually wear. Here is me with said shirt expressing said delight:
Israelis have the most practical tac gear. No wasted space at all.
I know a few Marines that would probably love it. The about of magazines you can carry on it is mind blowing, something like 18 in dedicated pouches alone, not including what you could jam in the other pouches, than there are pistol mag pouches on the side of those.
I can carry like 50 mags in my 6SH92 tactical rucksack

I only did that because I had a really derp face where I was looking at the rail so I just censored them out.

They got it wrong. That's an RRV, not a CIRAS I can tell by the shoulder straps and from seeing quite a few RRV's in my day. Oh, also the IDF vest has a fucking bayonet sheath. Score for me, it works with mine.
Codemonkey I want your shit.
Codemonkey, tell us about your buying details of this vest. I like.
1. get on boat to israel 2. join israeli defense force 3. defect 4. ???? 5. PROFIT! [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] But in all seriousness. The cheapest vest like this is $200 from Ebay or a little more on most surplus sites. The site I ordered from is here: http://www.israeli-forces.com/ They also have several different variants of the vest for different roles. Also the backpacks on the back can come off if I want too, which I don't because they're slightly badass. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Not sure why Oakman disagrees with me on the CIRAS point. The shoulder straps of a CIRAS don't have webbing like that, CIRAS shoulder panels are usually padded and are very small where the ones on a RRV are much larger and easier to notice, again, partly because of the unique straps that run down them. Additionally, it's sitting far too low to be a CIRAS (Although that's a matter of preference) most people wear their CIRAS high up like they should so the SAPI plates cover the vital areas of the chest, just below the neck and down. You can also see the straps that connect the top chest panel to the RRV shoulder where the admin pouch is placed. CIRAS tend to be a bit larger and bulkier than RRV's as well.
you have a really cool and unique loadout.

The straps that support the RRV bib are visible, and it's RRV shoulder straps.

Most people don't even wear a left kneepad. I'd imagine his left kneepad just fell down his leg and he never pulled it up because he doesn't rest on his left leg.
I wear the left kneepad down by my ankle too. Mainly for the fact, that when I run up to cover by I building, I smack into it, then go around cover to shoot.
Is there any particular reason why the left kneepad is down by his ankle?
I'm too lazy to look for pictures now, but lots of people wear them on their ankles when doing patrols and guard duty and whatever doesn't immediatly require them to enter combat, it's more comfortable, allows easier movement and can be quickly pulled up to their knees. Also operator AS FLYING FUCK.
It looks silly.
I don't wear my left kneepad down. I am left knee'd.
I bought myself a mesh face mask. When it arrives sometime next week, I'll finally post a picture of my loadout.
:byodood: but you don't have my famous M81 cold weather jacket
Ivebo rated me disagree too. I have no idea how else I can prove to anyone that the vest in that picture is an RRV and not a CIRAS. It should be plainly obvious.
It does sort of look like an RRV.
:byodood: but you don't have my famous M81 cold weather jacket
Famous, AKA 10 billion were made and everyone wears them Like seriously, go to a poor neighborhood in the winter sometime, everyone wears them I think they are called M65 jackets actually.
