Plus when I watched it before it was in terrible quality and the subtitles sucked black cocks.

5.) Berezka Kepi (No Picture Available)
Regarding Load Bearing Equipment (LBE) - During the initial phase of the Aghanistan War, the Soviet Union did not manufactuer or issue Chest Rigs. Instead, regular Motorized Rifles Troops, Airborne Troops, and Spetsnaz members would cut up pouches and make their own (this was far more common than looting the Chicom Rigs off dead Afghan Rebels, see below). Later in the war, the soviet's started issueing their own Chest Harnesses, like these, which went to Airborne Units and Spetsnaz Members.
Regarding the CHICOM Harness: These we're not soviet issue, instead they we're looted of dead Mujihadeen (Afghan Rebels) fighters, however, contuary to what alot of people think these items were NOT VERY COMMON to find.
Regarding the RD-54 Paratroop/Naval Infantry Harness: This is a classic, old time Paratrooper Favorite, still in use with the Airborne Forces and Naval Infantry personnel today.
Also be sure took pick up an Infantry Spade and Cover. Don't bother yourself with a Gas Mask and Bag, the Soviet Troops left those at the barracks, it was dead weight.
Quote from: "TotalySweede"
Does anyone know if the VDV used helmet covers in KZS camo, not that I've ever seen it but I thought that it would have been cool to have it.
No, forget the helmet covers, they we're not used. When the VDV members used the steel pots, they'd often put nets over the helmets and stick twigs, shrubbs, and what not into it for camouflage.

anyone know a good (reliable and accurate as fuck) not-too-expensive AKS74?
Dboys with a tightbore?
Dboys or Cyma?

Ask Stupideye, he has the Dboys. I would buy the Dboys over the Cyma though
Dboys or Cyma?

Do you want something built like a tank or something built like a tank made of bear?
EDIT: I personally own both, and although I like DBoys externals more, CYMA wins for me because of the vast variety of models they make.
what
[editline]13th February 2011[/editline]
I want a gun built like a tank that's made of guns that shoots bears

I ended up stripping it for parts like a year ago and it was a clear plastic gear box with all clear plastic parts except the spring.

My Dboys 74u is a tank. Externally it's amazing, internally it is quite good as well, it shoots nice and straight. It's been a year since I've owned it and I have had two 'problems':
1. Pins - They aren't made to really tight tolerances so you have to make sure everything is fitting right, my stock doesn't stay unfolded perfectly, sometimes it will snap back to closed because something fell out. It's not a big deal to me, but some might really care.
2. Not a big issue and is expected, the hop-up rubber is getting a bit worn. I'll probably get it replaced soon.

as for the vest, I don't think it's a chicom since soviet afghan vests sppeared to have more pouches (although most photos show them walking around with no vests)
and why that rucksack versus the RD54?
Found some wonderful photos of Afghan:
