So I finally got the Interceptor I've wanted forever. So, first off I need to say this thing is extremely light. It's really, really light compared to my last webbing rig by UTG. So, beyond that it has shoulder guards, groin guard and a neck guard. I don't use the neck guard because you can't move your head and you feel like you're choking. I use the shoulder guards because they don't halt my arms movement at all and I don't even notice they're there, I have no problem operating a rifle or sidearm. The groin guard I don't notice either and I have it for a reason.
So, I wear it around the house all day in ACU uniform without pouches or weight. It's like a second skin after awhile and surprising I don't get very hot at all (Granted I live in New York and not California) so I run around outside, duck and roll, all kinds of crazy sit, even do some jumping jacks and I don't get hot at all even with the heat. Which is fantastic.
So today I put pouches on it, it took me a few tries to find a decent setup since I'm not used to having 'options' like on my UTG vest. I find one I like, play around with it. It's a bit bulky (This isn't a CQB rig though) so I don't really mind, I can still go prone, crouch, fire from the shoulder, sprint, jog, run, creep etc.
So far I'm extremely happy with it, it completes my look more or less. I need to get knee pads and maybe another thigh rig to fill out my legs a bit more so they don't look so off balanced but other then that I'm more or less done with this loadout.

Hydration Pack, Grenade Pouch (Double), Utility Bag.
You'll notice that the OE Tech equipment 'glows' in flash photography. Why this is, I don't know. The UTG stuff doesn't glow, nor does the Propper Jacket and Pants. It ONLY glows like that in flash photography though.

((Sorry for the shitty pictures, it's impossible to get a good picture of yourself with auto timer inside a dark house even with flash and I can't crop the images in paint because the picture is too big.))
How do you reach for those grenade pouches?
I put candy in them for my team-mates.
Tactical Candy.
But in all honesty, I reach behind me (From below) and I can easily open them and take stuff out. They're light so I keep them on, I haven't filled my vest with goodies yet as there is no game on the horizon but I used to keep rags, anti-fog wipes, camo covers and such in them. All things a team-mate could use or me for that matter.
[editline]10:27PM[/editline]
Utility pouch is for tools, batteries, larger things like that.
Yeah knee pads and a thigh rig would really complete the look. I wish I could try on one of these (OD) and test it out because the weather in Texas is usually hot as hell.
I believe they make other versions like the Interceptor that may be different (like Atomic has) that include the shoulder, groin and neck guards as well.
As I said, I don't think it's hot, but keep in mind I live in New York and I haven't played a full game yet, I've only been fucking around with it.
I'm wearing it right now actually, full uniform, vest and belt. I'm comfortable just idling and typing here in a warm house, but like I said, I haven't put the vest in a practical situation yet.
I think a Thigh-Rig would do good. Because I could take the utility pack and grenades off my back (They're sticking out too far for my amusement, but it doesn't matter at all, I just dislike how they look) and have it at a easier reach as well as filling out my legs. Knee pads could be practical but I foresee them falling down my legs and never using them, I may just keep them around for Holloween parties, this loadout makes an excellent costume.

Oh my god I never thought about a Halloween costume. Holy shit I could just throw on my loadout and say I'm some special ops douchebag.
Maybe I'll ask around and see if there are video reviews. Anyways, once I get a job I'm gonna go vest/chest rig hunting. Any suggestions?
Well, I've only ever owned two rigs, well that's a lie.
I had a UTG Crossdraw, hated it, looked retarded, but it was light, just retarded and not functional.
Then I got a UTG MOLLE vest, that was my last loadout. There was NO ROOM for custom setups. It was basically a crossdraw with webbing (Fuck, it was a crossdraw with webbing, they sell the same vest but with the same pouches on the crossdraw, same exact one) and it was heavy and dumb looking.
Interceptor is authentic and I love it, BUT I don't recommend it purely because NO ONE ELSE will. Everyone I've talked to about it hated the thing, but I like it. So, I guess I'm a glitch in the system.
So, sorry I wasn't much help but it's something. It also depends on what rig you're looking for. Evike has some -cool- looking rigs for cheap and ASGI has alot of MOLLE stuff.
[editline]11:39PM[/editline]
I also just had a bowl of Coco-Pebbles in full tactical gear. I feel so hardcore.
Tactical Ceral, for Tactical men, such as myself.
-snip-
Which reminds me I need a haircut.
Anyways, once I get a job I'm gonna go vest/chest rig hunting. Any suggestions?
There's quite a few out there to choose from. I currently run a 5.11 micro rig chest rig, only has 4 rows x 8 columns of webbing. Pretty much good for 4 Mag pouches, or 2 mag pouches and a utility pouch. I pair that up with some belt mounted stuff and it works great for a high speed loadout. Downside: Very little protection, painful to use in CQB.
If you need to carry more stuff, the RRV may be your answer. Ebaybanned has a variety of these, including some with back attachments or hyrdration carriers.

Hmmm, thanks for the suggestions. I am looking more for something like a plate carrier, but still has the loops for a belt on the bottom, because I like to put my ammo dump and misc-pouch on the belt.
Most plate carriers don't use loops on the bottom, you simply wear a belt under them. Nothing stopping you from buying some extra straps and making your own loops attached to the last row of webbing though.
But ideally for a setup like that you want a plate carrier that sits higher up. Depending on your size you could use a CIRAS or similar sized carrier, but I'm 5'9" and my CIRAS will often overlap my belt or rub against it. Something like this would work better, not nearly as long and I'm sure a belt will fit under it.

I have a Condor Interceptor with a Level II Pack attached on back that I got off Amazon for $90 altogether.
If you haven't done this already, you could cut out cardboard plates to give the vest some stiffness. The vest was uncomfortable before I cut out the plates, and now it feels a lot more durable and secure.
Funny thing is, I have no MOLLE pouches for it. I'm actually looking at another vest off of Ebairsoft that comes with SAPI plates and pouches.
I'm going for a PMC type loadout, rather than full soldier, which I've been running with for about two years now.
By the way, what are admin pouches for?
By the way, what are admin pouches for?
Holding papers, pens, small items. I usually toss my phone and keys in there along with a map of the field if there's one given out.
By the way, what are admin pouches for?
What Ender said, and as a place to put patches.
I need to get one of those. I'm a platoon commander for my company and its always a pain in the ass to carry around maps and shit without proper pouches.

Buy a warlord chest rig, they are great running as a commander.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2047
My vest has a large pocket all the back of the front (as in, the part that touches your chest) that's perfect size for maps and small stuff like that. The downside is that it's very hard to reach into the very bottom of that pocket, so anything but maps would be difficult to get out.
Usually goes like this:
"JAMES, REACH INTO MY CHEST, OBTAIN PHONE"
"This one?"
"YESSSSSSSS"
My helmet is off center, it always is. Forgive that. I also got some :downs: going because of the glasses and helmet being oddly placed on my head.

Need to change the placing on the Bayonet, it pushes my uniform up and makes it impossible for me to sit in a chair.
Other then that several people stopped during the shooting to stare. Fortunately none of them called the police.
Really nice, even though i have a massive dislike for ACU, it looks really good.
Looks like a good authentic loadout. Only thing I would change is the holster, bit on the cheap side in my opinion. Also seen too many pistols drop out of them and go sliding during the games I play.
That one is good, it's a UTG one and I've had it for years.
The thigh rig on my left leg is a drop holster (some other brand) that I got and removed the holster to use as a rig for my dump pouch. I could change their roles but I think it's fine so far.

What boots are those? They look like mine.
Also, awesome loadout. Afghan national smok weed evry day
Real Sword AK I take it? Very nice.
The funny thing is he doesn't even look Afghan. Grow a beard and dye it grey for the lulz.
Out of curiosity, what do you people have -inside- your rigs.
For example inside my EMT pouch I have a extra battery (Emergency use only because it's burnt out pretty badly), scope/flashlight mount, electrical tape, speed-loader and the iron sight/carrying handle for my rifle. In my Utility pouch (Small) I have highlighters, pencils, pens, sharpie, fingerless gloves and usually I'll throw my wallet, cellphone, keys, Mp3 player etc in there.
Beyond that I have 2 low cap mags, 2 hi-cap mags for my primary and three spare pistol mags. I need more hicaps but they'll wait.
Theres a SAW gunner pouch on the left side now, not the small pouch.

-Saw gunner pouch (Left): 4 Rockets/Claymore/SAW mag
-Center pouch: 4 AK mags/ Sidearm
-Small utility pouches: Grenades/40mm/Command radio
-Admin pouch: Maps, Expo marker, Killrag/Squad radio/Flashlight
Things separated by slashes are interchangeable. This is when Im running my RRV only, which is almost never, since 40mm would normally be on my belt, the claymore would be in my backpack
When I usually run the CIRAS I carry:
-2 PMAG Midcaps, 1 PMAG Hicap
-2-3 Standard M4 Hicaps
- Large capacity speed loader
-3 P226 mags (chrome)
-P226 w/ Serpa Holster (MOLLE mounted)
-Admin Pouch w/ Keys and phone inside.
-Couple of 203 shells for shits and giggles
-Utility pouch w/ multitool, E-tape, battery
-Radio pouch w/ radio
-Dump pouch that temporarily holds gloves, face wrap.
- (optional) shotgun shell pouch w/ 7 shells.
I think that's most of it. I like being prepared with somewhat useful stuff, unlike other gear whores who attach fake radios and other useless stuff to their rigs just to look cool
My next loadout will be a Phoenix Connection Terrorist from CS. What vest do you suggest for it?
