Hide that Tavor. You may be sought out and killed for it by a fellow member on here.
That might actually be a good idea to wear some under armor type stuff. I might do that because of the heat.
When I think the Navy SEALs, I think of:
[img_thumb]http://www.rottenpuppy.com/beach_assault4.jpg[/img_thumb]
Rather than:

Looks decent though, I just couldn't imagine wearing a wetsuit in combat, I guess.
Yeah I don't exactly think of generic crossdraw style vest as part of a SEAL's loadout. I tend to think more of gear whore loadout with tons of unnecessary stuff.
Jyxr I dislike you.
Now if I get a Tavor I won't be unique. Most likely going to order tomorrow after I get this damn code. The guy dropped it off at Fed-ex and it'll ship out after I pay.
I think I'm gonna make a Fred loadout.
lulwut
:{ im srry i didnt mean to offend, if it helps its really not that good stock. i still need to replace the air nozzle and put a better spring in. and i wasn't thinking jungle ops navt seal i was thinking like mw2, or other ocasions where they've inserted by water
Flintstone?
IDEA TIME
Someone should make a guide to all the pieces of different loadouts for new people or those who want a certain loadout but don't know where to start.
on an unrelated note, Edy's grape fruit bars are fucking delicious
oh and i haven't really invested in a lot of vests considering i'm not that huge into being an exact replica, i just go for the look however i plan on ordering a ciras vest soon
Seems like everyone wants to buy a CIRAS now lol.

How hard was it to get your TAR 21 and when did you get it?
I'm ordering mine tomorrow most likely, getting a Siderail, Top Rail, new spring (PDI 150%? I believe) and a battery. I get the gun with a upgraded air nozzle too and new batteries (Along with a side-rail I'm not going to use)
It's a beautiful gun, right? Agree with me, tell me! TELL ME WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LIVE THE LEGEND FEW MEN HAVE DARED TO DREAM!!

The CIRAS is just so sexy.
I've always wanted to buy one since MGS4 came out, when I saw the Praying Mantis PMC wearing it.

Yes it's a beautiful gun. Very CQB Oriented though, stock you're lucky to shoot over 120 ft accurately. The hop up is a pain in the ass to adjust. It is beautiful. Decent ROF. Haven't chrono'd, but I'd guess somewhere in the 330-340 range. It wasn't hard I had it overnighted from airsoftgi.com back in December. (I admit it was a mistake to not wait for the non-mars sight version as the mars sight is absolute shit outdoors. You cannot see the red dot and it's essentially useless.) Fun gun though for looks and intimidation factor though :D

This is part of my guide from another forum on Marine infantry and Force Recon:

Belleville, Danner, Bates
Nomex Flight Gloves Green or Tan.
MICH 2000 w/ Norotos NVG Mount, PVS14 NVG mount, painted- Tan, Green or Coyote Brown.(MFR & MEU SOC)

M16A4

FROG Desert MARPAT Uniform
Tan Nomex Flight Suit

Pouches:
For older look, mix with woodland and coyote brown pouches. For a modern look:
AITES IFAK
Assorted SDS, EI, TT, BHI coyote brown pouches.
Comms:
TASC1 Bowman Headset
Optics:
ACOG TA31RCO is issued.

M4 is usually replaced in-country.
Troops are commonly seen with personally-bought Surefire combat lights, such as M95, M961, M952, M962.
For a marine grunt, my friend (who is a Marine) says only those who've reached the rank of corporal are issued a M4. Everyone else lower than that is stuck with the M16A4. What sucks is they aren't even issued a sidearm, only officers have the M9 and maybe some higher ranks. He says clearing a building with a M16 sucks, I don't blame him.
Seriously? That's a bit stupid is not? I mean why don't they issue them with at least with the masses of M1911's lying around?

I haven't seen you around here all that often, hang around, when I get mine I plan to make a thread to review it and post pictures and such so we can all circle jerk over it. I'll also tell everyone the story of trying to BUY it, which is impossible by the way. (Long story, wait for the thread)
I do field games but I plan to put a better spring in it, if nothing else I can just use it for CQB and short-range engagements because I still have my M15 which is soon to be upgraded.
Unfortunately the ACU US Army 2010 loadout doens't work so well with an Israeli weapon, so I may need to make a new one, about time too anyway as the Army kicked ACU to the curb and everyone hates ACU and it's useless.
Other then that, the optics I'm getting a top mount for but I can't see myself removing them.. but I do have the option this way. The optics are beautiful.

On this subject, it's true even in the Army, side-arms are not issued to NCO's unless you buy them yourselves.
Fun Fact; When a Officer surrenders it's custom to allow them to keep their side-arm. It's a gesture of respect and if he has men under his command he can keep them in control.
Well, seeing how I'm enlisting for Cavalry Scout, we get cool stuff, like the Barrett, M4's, or MK12's (SCAR), not to mention upgraded HMMWV's, Bradleys, and Stykers. :D
Enlisting? Very nice, I was thinking about going through West Point.
All this talk of sidearms reminds me of this story I heard:
In WWII a US troop was patrolling around in Italy when they came across a group of Italian Soldiers. They came up really close behind them and ordered them to surrender. The Officer of the Italians pointed his pistol at one of the American's heads and then spun it around and gave it to him. He still has that pistol today.

I know a guy who went to West Point.
Which is why I don't want to be a Officer.

In the Army, NCOs are issued M4s and I believe M9s. I know officers are issued M9s.
I just asked an NCO about it. Ill post his response.

I'm considering an ROTC college. I'm on the fence, I don't even know what I'd want to do a typical college.
Speaking of helping with ideas for loadouts... I didn't know if I should have posted this here or the video-game loadout thread, but what the hell. I've been meaning to put together a HL marine grunt loadout (didn't know how hard it'd be to find some old fashioned urban camo!), anyone knows what vest looks more like the one HECU grunts used in the Half-Life games (power combat vest or however it was called in OpFor)? any other tips would be awesome as well (I won't use a gas mask, probably play using only protective glasses or, at most, the red beret some grunts wore).
Any help would be appreciated.
The vest looks like a CIRAS to me.
Not even close. It's going to be some form of soft body armor or a plate carrier with no pouches.
If someone can post some pictures I can narrow it down even further, been a while since I've seen it.
Really? I used this picture for reference.

It is a reskin but I think the basic shapes are the same. Looks like a CIRAS to me. Haven't played Half Life in ages so I'm not sure if that picture is accurate at all.

Actually your right, I must be delusional.
