I just like how the late-war Fallschirmjägers look iirc though, there's no FG42s out there :smith:
If I wanted a WWII loadout, I'd go with something similar to this:
Sexy coats, gotta love the russians! Also, I like the fallshirmjager uniforms as well, and it confuses me as to why that website sells pieces of fallshirmjager uniforms [img_thumb]http://www.atthefront.com/german/headgear/images/restifiedgermanhelmets/F307A_main.jpg[/img_thumb] but not whole sets. You would think that would be one of the most demanded sets
Can anyone here vouch for this site? http://www.russiancombatgear.com/index.php
also I really can't decide between the paratrooper and infantry uniforms, could you guys help? I mean I love both a lot, it's just that, although paratroopers were badass, it is for that reason that their uniforms are way overused, in ww2 reenactments I see tons of people dressing up as paratroopers, so I am kind of leaning toward the infantry. it's just that since it costs so much, I want to make sure that I'm making the right decision.
holy shit nvm, they make airsoft fg42s: http://www.shoeiseisakusho.co.jp/ costs $1200 though :wtc:
Most WWII guns are incredibly shitty and overpriced. Take for example that japanese MG a while back, the one that had the mag mounted on the top.
but it's a !!!!
If it was up to me, I'd do a 505th PIR-ish loadout. www.toppots.net sells a bunch of helmets with the insignia's and stuff, it might be worth checking out. [editline]afssa[/editline] Do want.
but it's a !!!!
I shat lemonade through my nose you owe me a cup of lemonade

[editline]afssa[/editline] Do want.
I hate top pots. If anybody is overpriced it is them. I mean, it's not like atthefront isn't, but toppots is moreso. Also, I'm not sure whether you mean the band-of-brothers nazi killing overly cliched 506th PIR, or the 505th PIR. The latter would be original, but it would probably be hard to find the patches for it. As for the former, the screaming eagles, I just wouldn't want to do that because so many others do it as well. 90% of the time if you have a ww2 uniform it is a 506th PIR uniform. If I bought the parachutist uniform from atthefront, as soon as I got it I would remove the screaming eagle patch, both out of respect and because I wouldn't want to add to the cliche that already exists. Anyway, I'm going to go watch TV now, I feel as though I am clogging up this thread. I would however appreciate some input on the uniforms which I am choosing. Not in any sort of rush though, it's probably going to be two or three more months before I have enough money to buy that as well as sustain myself. Thanks for the help and info everyone, I'm really thankful that you guys are so helpful! Wasn't Band of Brothers about the 506th PIR of the 101st? I was talking about the 505th of the 82nd.
Wasn't Band of Brothers about the 506th PIR of the 101st? I was talking about the 505th of the 82nd.
Why, yes it was. Why I wrote 504th I don't know. I was trying to be all smart, knowing my history and all, but I wrote it incorrectly :frown: Anyway, a uniform of the 505th PIR of the 82nd airborne division would probably be original [editline]12:53AM[/editline] although you would have to find the patches, and I'm really not into wearing patches that I haven't earned [editline]3:33[/editline] at all. I have too much respect for the men that actually earned them [editline]12:56AM[/editline] wow, it's 8:00 PM. I was going to get off the computer at 6:30. DAMN YOU ALLLLlll
be amazed by the wonderful mind tricks the internet does to you
so, if you were to quickly guess the prices of some of these, what would some numbers be? Quickly guess, as in not much thought put into them, I don't want to waste your time [img_thumb]http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/8603/32424196.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs293.snc3/28299_1312590982617_1465940962_30763563_6171360_n.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs554.snc3/30299_1322754036687_1465940962_30785624_3249743_n.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i45.tinypic.com/2rxv0h1.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs070.ash2/36880_1485182939124_1520407884_1231538_5973874_n.jpg[/img_thumb] [editline]12:06AM[/editline] But this really sounds like my kind of hobby, I am fascinated with the world's militaries and war history, and actually plan on joining the military in a year (well, I'm applying for the USAFA at least), and I love to dress up (call me a fag haha) I do have expendable funds for these kinds of things, and would prefer to look nice, but don't really want to spend anything more than 1,500 dollars on all my gear.
Well since you posted two pictures of me, I guess i'll talk. The Nam kit is not mine, it is my friends. I have no idea how much it cost but I know he got the flank jacket for $30. The STALKER kit is my piece of work and it is still a work in progress. I'm gonna take wild guess on the total price of this kit is at least more than $300 including the gun.
I roll with a Vietnam loadout. Gun and all cost me about $800. Most of it was on the gun and mags though, as gear from back in Nam is dirt cheap.

DAMN YOU ALLLLlll
Nah, I know exactly what you mean. I never really go for the legit patches, and I wouldn't in this case either. I'd either end up using a generic patch, a STALKER patch or none at all. Although I'd still use that lion on the helmet. That'd be rad.
also I really can't decide between the paratrooper and infantry uniforms, could you guys help? Do regular infantry, and you can range from medium to heavy. If you get the similar loadout parts of both then buy the specialist kits separately, you can interchange depending on your feelings. Get a Thompson as well. Garands would be a pain in the ass for starters.
Get the vfc bar. (if you have the money)
Get the vfc bar. (if you have the money)
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3150 :wtc:
That actually looks really sexy
If it's more than $500 stock it's stupid. Even that high of a price is stupid. 400 and lower is preferred, and you get the same quality product.
Fuck, what's up with all these WWII weapons being supremely expensive? :saddowns:
They're quite rare. Few companies actually produce them. Therefore, they must be expensive.
Most weapons from WWII where destroyed, so they don't have anything to model them after.
Fuck, what's up with all these WWII weapons being supremely expensive? :saddowns:
You have any idea what the costs are for manufacturing such a small batch of them? No less the man hours, material costs, and machines needed to make them. It's not cheap. Hell just the block of metal to begin with will cost a few hundred dollars, especially if they went and CNC machined it. Honestly most airsoft stuff you're getting a bargain on compared to if you had it sent to a shop and made.
Most weapons from WWII where destroyed, so they don't have anything to model them after.
That's not the reason at all, there still thousands of WWII era authentic weapons around the world and the replica ones are still being sold TO THIS DAY. Hell, my JROTC used real M1's, there were over a hundred in the armory. There are still countries in Africa, South America and the Middle East that use these weapons in their military proper.
Isn't the M1 Carbine still being made?
Isn't the M1 Carbine still being made?
M1 Carbines are still in use, but in very, very, very, very, very small numbers. Kinda like how there are still PPSH-41s still in use.
