How much do real issue covers cost?
Damn son you have alot of gear. I have a replica PASGT like yours with the real issued woodland cover, but without the cat eye band.
Real covers don't cost much more then the replica ones usually. But they usually have differences. For example, the replica MICH ACU cover doesn't have the black IR tabs but the real deal does. A few are harder to find, like the reversible Desert and Woodland MARPAT cover. [editline]07:26PM[/editline] Also two more I forgot. I'm buying most of my gear through surplus, so I was afraid they'd cost more. They aren't made of Kevlar, are they?
The helmet covers? They're fabric covers that fit over the helmet and secure to it with velcro. I rarely see helmet covers in surplus stores around here, but that may be just me.
Oh, I saw somewhere that said they were. I don't really care, I'd like one, but MICHs look awesome regardless.
Kevlar helmet covers? Not sure how well that'd work. The helmet itself would be a kevlar or something if it was legit surplus.
Oh my god awesome. I just found out that the rig I first used when playing airsoft with my cybergun 552 fits 6 M4 mags. It only fits 2 552 mags, presumably because they're about the same size as an AK mag (didn't check). Anyway, now I have a lightweight rig. I got it at my local surplus store though, so I have no idea what it is. Anyone recognize it? Was too lazy to set up a tripod/use a table or something and put on a black t-shirt, so I put it on a pillow. This one more to show how the neck and straps look, it doesn't look slouched like that on me.
Well how much are surplus MICHs? The ones at the store I went to were $35, and pretty damn heavy.

Unfortunately, yes. It's an American Vest, a load bearing affair that can be worn over a flak vest or uniform. The belt on the bottom usually has canteens and extra ammunition pouches what have you. I have the same one, but at a different angle (The ammo pouches) in woodland. They used them in the 80-90's Not the best picture, but here: They don't use them anymore so they're flooding the market and are quite cheap.
Unfortunately, yes. I'll probably pick up some next time I'm by AEX. I don't know how you'd use it without them, the mag sits flush up against the top of each pouch, and the pouches are very tight. I crave standard woodland BDUs too.
I prefer 80's-90's Western loadouts to modern ones. They look a lot better in my opinion.
I have one, granted it'd not very good and mostly cobbled together but I can post it sometime.
Can anyone help be figure out WTF I have. It's like a massive backpack, in M81 woodland, with two big pockets, one top one bottom. It straps around the chest and the waist.

I have no camera ATM. All I know is it says Field Pack, 100% nylon on the pack. And the buckles are made by ITW Nexus.

Guys, I'm thinking of doing a new loadout. I have a late 1980's US Infantry loadout, but I'm thinking of stepping into the more modern era. I was thinking either a US Army Infantry or USMC Infantry loadout. Which one do you guys think? I like the Army loadout but ACUPAT doesn't blend at at all in the forrests down here. I like the Marines loadout but I can't find a proper plate carrier to suit it. PS: I'm the alt of a permanently IP banned user... used to post here a lot but since the perma I just lurk. Don't tell anyone...
If that's Blue Saint....
No, I'm another alt of Medicman. http://www.facepunch.com/member.php?u=14203 Don't know who "Blue Saint" is, just asking for some help with a loadout.

If you want to keep it cheap, just get the old Condor Interceptor in Tan. http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_165&products_id=27563 If you want to go authentic and use what the newer guys are being issued, then you better start saving up for the Pantac. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=7112
I can afford the Pantac MTV, I was going to buy it off of Redwolf with a pouch set for roughly $300 all together. My only concern is that the vest is very bulky, hot, and uncomfortable. I hear even Marines hate the MTV for those reasons. Is that true?
Either one of those are going to be bulky, and any plate carrier you wear will be hot. As for comfort, can't say, but from the Condor Interceptor I tried on I was severely limited in my range of motion, so not comfortable in my opinion. I found that plate carriers tend to fit better when you have fake plates in them too.

If I'm going to do a Marine loadout, I want that authentic devil dog look. But yeah, the only concerns I have is the bulkiness factor and the price is high, but I guess a good Marine loadout doesn't come cheap :/.
I think I faintly remember a Medicman. What was your avatar?
Medicman was cool, I remember him.

Now I'm looking to selling it... And you don't need a Pantac MTV. Just get a Flyye IBA: http://www.royaltigergear.com/product_info.php?products_id=43 Way cheaper than a Condor or Pantac and it's still the right model IBA and better quality over the Condor, let alone the fact that it's still cheaper, including the shipping from China. Also CodeMonkey, if you do get the IBA, switch out the pouches for SDS ones: https://www.entrygear.com/list.asp?listtype=mfg&mfg=30 And blouse those damn trousers! And if you're going to use an M4, you either need an RIS unit, ACOG TA31, PEQ, and VFG or just a plain RIS unit w/ VFG. When the Corps started using M4's, they always had an RIS system. Even when they got those, it was only officers or MEU's and they barely had any attachments on them. And change the damn stock! No one has ever used a M16 stock on an M4 in the military. Just get an LE or something.
mind if I ask: are there kits to apply camo netting on helmets (not the limp mossy looking ghillie suit camouflage thing) or are they all DIY

Is that website legitimate and reliable? Looks kinda dodgy to me. Also, how do I find out the price of shipping? Thanks for the help by the way, I really do appreciate it.
