I suppose I could see how that would be confusing. Generally when we refer to a team not supposed to be wearing camo, we mean "supposed to be wearing civi's". And "camo" to mean military garb.
Though our games are more role based than deathmatch, so someone wouldn't be wearing a PCU on the non-camo (usually rebel or insurgent) team anyway.
Just curious, what would the insurgent team be wearing? Jeans, black t-shirts, and chest rigs?

Thats at a game. We (Me and the OpFor unit Im a member of) get even more realistic looking at training exercises with the National Gaurd. IE: Kameez, only OpFor weapons, things of that nature.
Jesus, look how small that M4 is on the guy to the left of you.

Yeah, he's a big dude.
Someone little noobie kid came up behind him and tried to force him to the ground to zip tie him (As he was the Insurgent leader and there were orders to capture him), and he just spun around, bitch slapped the kid, and shot him once with a pistol.
He said "Sorry about slapping you man, you scared the shit out of me! Next time just shoot me in the leg or something".
It was the single most glorious thing Ive even seen at an airsoft OP.

Insurgent team at CQB City normally has people running around with TAD gear or similar jackets, PMC loadouts and other flat color loadouts that you wouldn't typically think of as insurgent.
The ones that truly piss me off are the people who mix and match, such as multicam bottoms with a tan jacket. I never know which team they're on, and they often end up getting team killed the most.
I don't know why that pisses you off, some people can't help it. Why don't you just get a whole shit load of red and blue rags and do something to that effect?
Well red rags wouldn't work, because of the kill rag.
But if it gets to a worse point, just have teams wear colored arm bands I suppose.

Well I guess your loadout would be a prime example of what the OpFor team should truly look like, but I don't imagine everyone has that kind of stuff and/or are willing :v:
I could make an insurgent uniform out of anything really. Mainly because they don't have a unified look.
Speaking of which, I need to buy some tan cargo pants.
Snuggies and Chestrigs are the best Insurgent loadouts. Shit you not.
Or buy a real mandress (what's it called, thawb?) for like $2.
Or buy a real mandress (what's it called, thawb?) for like $2.
Called a Kameez. I own one for real deal training. They are very, VERY comfortable actually :v:
And really, all Im wearing in that pic is a crappy dress shit, some old slacks, a Chicom chest rig, and a shemagh. Literally the easiest and cheapest loadout ever, and it looks pretty darn good. A little imagination is all thats needed to make these things looks good.
Hell, I whipped up a few IEDs from some PVC pipe, an old extension cord, some toy kiddie cell phones from the dollar tree, and a bunch of duct tape like 3 hours before the game started :v:, and they really added to the immersion for everyone (and I think I blew up like 3 HMMWVs with them :v:)

I think they can help it, especially when they're mixing and matching multicam and real TAD gear jackets. It's not like they're too poor to buy a full uniform by a longshot.
Not even that, but a full insurgent uniform can be the clothes you wear everyday.
Here's a short video of some of the team ID fails I caught today. There's probably more but these stood out the most.

I only saw the first thirty seconds, because the rest of the time, I was facepalming.
The one kid seemed like a douche, the one who said the solid color of gray was a camo.
that reminded me of a load of kids who turned up to the game i went to, it was a forest game and a kid turned up in FULL acu kit then argued that he sould have more than one life since he stands out like a sore thumb.
also when my team were assaulting a quarry we had some dumbshit behind us open fire because he thought we were defending it even though we were walking with him just a few minutes ago then went ahead through the forest.
LOL I had some stupid idiot teenager claim I was on his team (camo) despite me wearing my Gray PCU.
I saw 3 guys coming down the alley in camo, shot them with my pistol. Some idiot says I'm on the same team, I just respond "I'm not on your team, insurgent". He walks up to the window and starts arguing that I'm on camo, even pointing at my PCU. I simply say "Look at it (hold arm up) It's fucking solid gray not camo." All he says is "No That's camo! Your on camo team!". Fucking retards.
This has to go in the airsoft idiots thread. Lol!
Anyway... if I had pics from the last Op I went to you'll see what my kit looked like... ACU+Woodland ALICE is TEH GHEYYYYY!!!!
So I decided I'd throw together every green camo/other article of green combat clothing I had that still fit me and this misfit came out
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8697486/DSCF2824.JPG[/img_thumb]

That belt looks painful :v:
it is
I would readjust it but I'll probably NEVER use the harness in a game
ever
It's generally a pain in the ass.

I also gotta ask, is that OTV you linked Chinese Coyote Brown or Real-Steel CB?
Extremely late on this... but Flyye Coyote Brown is the closest you can get to Eagle Industries CB, which is generally the same as Point Blank.
Seems like something similar to what I have but here's what the CoD4 Marines are probably wearing:
-Goggles :hurr:
-Molle Vest of somesort (could be IBA)
-Pouches for the molle vest
-Belt
-Marpat BDU
-Boots (no idea which though)
-Thigh Holster
-MICH Helmet (2000 or 2002 is fine too)
-Kneepads (optional)
-Thigh Pouch of somesort (optional)
-Walkie Talkie carrier pouch thing
-Headsets (optional)
-Helmet cover (optional)
-Hydration Bladder or Backpack
-M4 or M16

Really, really, really late on this but they wear Desert MARPAT, BHI Omega crossdraw over a Point Blank IBA w/ assorted BHI/SDS pouches, Bijan kneepads, LWH, etc. If you really want the rest I can post it.

Where are you seeing a crossdraw (besides the last pic which is a Garrysmod pic)

First pic, guy on the right. You can see the shoulder pad. 2nd pic, first guy stacked up. You can see the bands from the side of a crossdraw. Same with the third pic.
someone will have to clarify for me but im pretty sure those will either be Interceptors or FSBE's

Those all look like the standard MOLLE vest:
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ctd_images/bgprod/MOLLE-434.jpg
they're probably BHI Omegas but they're not crossdraws
irregardless they're not what real marines wear
That's not what all of them wear in the game, they wear assorted plate carriers and a few even have chest rigs. That GMOD pic only shows one bodygroup for that character model.
