Condor's coyote brown/coyote tan is more khaki. Or their old line was, no idea what it looks like now.
Ah yes, OE TECH labeled condor gear. It looks like the basic Maritime CIRAS. The picture depicted on their website doesn't do justice to your vest Code. Was it bought elsewhere?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=OE+TECH+tear+away+plate+carrie&x=0&y=0 They've never advertised them and I've only ever see them on ASGI. Considering all my Tan Condor pouches match the vest perfectly, it must be Condor.
so THOSE are CIRAS.. nice to know
so THOSE are CIRAS.. nice to know
Those are fake CIRAS vests. Here is the God-like original: http://www.eagleindustries.com/product.php?productid=449
jesus cum load 620 dollars yeah uh that condor is slightly less quality for like 1/10 the price

I don't know if Eagle Industry CIRAS's are easy to adjust or what, but the Condor shit is fucking impossible. I had to use a million zipties and the shoulder pads are starting to sink still, so I may need to do it again. I got mine in a trade.
I meant that yours look great compared to the quality of the Airsoftgi picture.
Me wearing it. Neck guard isn't properly attached, so if it looks weird that's why. [img_thumb]http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/2668/dsc0114g.jpg[/img_thumb]
How high should a CIRAS be adjusted? Because it feels fine now, except that it's so high up that my release handle is touching my chin all the time. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] This thing is impossible to adjust. Now I can barely get in or out of it.
The release handle should be just under your chin, mid-line with your neck. Email Condor, see if they have any guides for putting it together correctly, or for adjustment.
Yeah, it feels a bit high, hugs my stomach too tight, I figure vests should stop just before the belt. I'll fuck with it tomorrow. It means I have to take it apart and jimmy rig more zipties to keep it together. It's adjusted alright for Polos and T-Shirts but for jackets and stuff it's kind of impossible to get on and off.
Theres no "proper" way to configure it. Iv'e seen pics of guys wearing it up to the chin, or low, where the handle is in the middle of the chest.
Am I the only one who thinks that the Condor CIRAS looks nothing like a CIRAS?
It does when you put it together properly.
Am I the only one who thinks that the Condor CIRAS looks nothing like a CIRAS?
Well, there are different models of the CIRAS.
A CIRAS looks nothing like a CIRAS unless you have a full pouch set on it.
That's true. Underloaded CIRAS don't look right. You need ammo pouches all over it, radio pouches, utility pouches, hydration packpacks etc. Land and Maritime CIRAS look the same to me, the handle is just in a different spot.
Well, thats not technically true. I have a LAND model, and it has a huge wrap around front section instead of the cut-off, and it has a lot more Molle space.
Theres no "proper" way to configure it. Iv'e seen pics of guys wearing it up to the chin, or low, where the handle is in the middle of the chest.
Yes there is. It should be riding at a height where the main body of the vest (where the plates go) is covering the thoracic cavity... being that that's what it's designed to do haha.
But a lot of contractors and SF operators wear it lower.
because contractors know what they're doing don't they
Land and Maritime CIRAS look the same to me, the handle is just in a different spot.
Like Mitch saidm, they have different wraps to tighten the vest

I was messing with my red camo pants I found and decided to make a CQB/indoors loadout. This one is similar to another one I have, minus the M81 pants and boonie. I'll take more pictures outside once I find my tan cargo pants, so I guess a contractor-esque loadout is on it's way. Also, I plan to replace the OD chest rig with an OD plate carrier.
^ Pretty good loadout.
buy AK use woodland pants or some russian pattern bam instant chechnyan
Nice and lightweight, no messin around loadout. I approve. Although the pants, not so much.

I think these are more comfortable other than using a full BDU set, which I also use when it gets cold. I decided to use those pants (red camo) because I figured why the hell would I use Woodland indoors? There's no way in hell that I would wear those outside :v:
what about the inevitable invasion of hell?
I believe a strategic invasion and liberation of Hell to be viable tactical option.
