Put fake blood stains all over the front end.
put a deer on top of your trucks cabin
I really think it should be painted a flat color, the silver kinda makes it look a bit iffy.
Still, pretty awesome.

I pulled back the net so you can see FPA01, I just need a mount and it's battle ready as far as I'm concerned, I don't even need half this shit.
Needs moar firing ports since it's a zombie response :black101:
Nah, just kidding looks great so far
[editline]also[/editline]
I'll love you forever if you add improvised vehicle armor though
YES Thank you jesus Codemonkey, you're doing it fuuuuck yesssssss. If you ever bring it to HVA (if it's possible and allowed), i god damned Need to help you build it or something. Hell, I'll sit on the back or someshit and be a second gunner or something
But in all seriousness, that's kickass and if you still need work done and you get the OK from HVA and i'm up when you are, i'll gladly help you if i can. In the event of that happening, if it happens, I have 1 1/2'' PVC piping and a bunch of plexiglass and a ton of Krylon for said plexiglass.
Also, trucknuts.
I gotta say, all this praise is a bit unfounded. All I did was throw some decals on there and camo netting.
I'm still on the fence about the M240/M249 decision. There is NO info about the M240 (Price, quality, release) so I don't know if I should just get an M249. Either way, if I get a machine gun I'm going to go all out. New paint job, painted decals, metal bracket welded machine gun mount, a removable cage around the bed so you can either keep it off or put it back there and drape camo nets over it for a little cover/concealment or makeshift commando post etc. I have two relatives that work in Autobody and one who can weld and machine.
I'd basically base my design off of this in some flat, matte green; like Ranger Green.

RG sounds like a good choice, as it's not going to stand out as much as a "military" color when you're driving normally without all this stuff on it.
I had an Idea.

Hang the camo netting off those metal bars. Excuse the shit handwriting
That's what I had in mind according to the picture I posted a few posts ago. I'm going to make the bars out of PVC so they're light and easily removable.
I'm basically going to learn to weld from this project, but ultimately right now the next logical step is "THE GUN" because everything is based around that standard weapons platform. Once I get the gun I have no excuse to not build a mount, then I have no excuse not to make it tacticool. So, M249 or M240, it's a hard choice.
M240 all the way son
I'd say M240.
If I lived remotely close to you, I could help you with the welding and shit. I'm half-decent at MIG.
I want too, but I have no idea when it will come out or if it is any good. Basically I'm waiting for something which may ultimately exceed my budget ($360~ for an Echo1 M249 is pushing it, I'd spend extra for the M240 as long as it doesn't exceed $450-$500~)
I'm starting to think I might as well get a M249, but I'm waiting a bit longer to see if Echo 1 releases more info before Christmas.

Thanks for the offer, not sure if I'll need it. Between my family I have a three people who can do auto work, one of which can weld and machine parts, another has access to a shop so painting, decals, bodywork etc. should all be easily achievable and hopefully some HVA residents.
Speaking of which, if HVA gives me a negative I'm dropping the project. I can't really get to any of the other fields frequently enough to make it worth the money, time and effort this would take. I'll keep my IFF tags though because I like them.
How about a m60? Its not a m240 but it should look alright.

That sounds good IMO, i'd help, as i'm not too far away and i'd come up but my parents would probably not let me (unfortunately) because they don't know you and all that other bullshit that goes with it.
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
Ninja'd and I recall him saying that he doesn't want an M60.
Not a fan of the M60 unless it was a classic Vietnam version, but I much rather have a M249 or M240, not really looking for alternatives outside of that unless someone donated a gatling gun to me.
If you do get a m249 This probably would be your best bet as It is a bit cheaper than the echo 1 and thus you have more money to spend on the car.

It's only a bit cheaper then the Echo 1 and as far as I can tell the Echo 1 is better. (I haven't done major research on the differences between the two just yet, I have no yay or nay on the status of POV's at my field. But I'd like to get something tough and reliable to mount on my truck since we're basically building the truck around the machine gun.

amazon.com
My friend is selling his A&K M60 for $270, It sells for $400.
Do it
That the same one that broke on the field? Because I remember something like that one of the first days I was there.
1. Buy it
2. Fix it up or something
3. ???
4. Mount it on truck
5. Profit
Maybe, I don't know for a fact if this will even go off well. I need a confirmation from HVA that POVs would be allowed before I do anything else. HVA is kind of bad for vehicle play, everything is too tightly clustered and the field is small. Although we do have the whole field in the winter, I don't know for sure.
Yes indeed the M60 that broke, Mich fixed it up and says it works. There was a wiring issue. It is a cool gun but I wouldn't buy it...
if not, we should make cardboard tanks.

You said that you wouldn't have a problem with an M60 if it was the Vietnam style?
http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_591&products_id=33325
Don't know much about it and unfortunately, it's Evike, but on the lighter side it takes large batteries and I think you could probably save yourself some money there.
I think it would look cool on your Tacoma if you want to buy it, but an M240 or M249 both look good as well.
put a car battery on it
actually just get the E1 Minigun and slap that on there
They have it on GI.
Hot damn, cheaper too
Dude, that is sweet. This praise is very deserved as you are the only one on FP (that I know of) who has undertaken a project like this. Can you tell me where to get one of those zombie response stickers?
