Meanwhile the Dutch movie theaters are gaining more profit and is growing for the first time. Basically all cinemas here have about 15 minutes of trailers before the movie starts followed by the moving in one run. Ticket costs about 9-12 euro depending on location, add another 2 euro or so for imax or Dolby Atmos screens.

The industry isn't struggling at all as far as I know. Nobody really seems to mind trailers or overpriced popcorn.
The best product placement in any show is Subway in Community. It just doesn't get any better than that.
If you arrive at the time it's like, at most 10 minutes of trailers, and honestly, I *like* watching the trailers.
At the theater I worked at (and the ads are done by Dansk Reklame Film so it should generally applicable here in Denmark) it depended on the movie. Movies for younger audiences (and fairly short movies) would 10 minutes or less of ads/trailers after the noted starting time, stuff like the fast and furious had maybe half an hour.
A 30 minute TV show/slot is actually 21 to 23 minutes long depending on the network. Most networks do a break at the middle of the show, but others will put it at every third.

You can see this when you watch Netflix. Any cable or network TV show is 19-24 minutes long for the typical "Half hour" long show.
How frequent is product placement?
A one hour segment for a show has on average 16 minutes dedicated to ads, as the show itself is generally 44 minutes long.
Product placement within a show varies heavily. They're pretty common in crime shows (like Hawaii Five-0 in the video).
For example, Defiance (a scifi series) was sponsored by Dodge for a season, so the protagonist' offroad buggy was largely replaced by a Dodge Charger, all apocalypse-ified. Ads for the show and for Dodge showed the car and the main character. The videogame likewise got some apunkalypse'd Dodge cars.

i love this show but when i saw this i had to take a break
This is sort of similar in Australia, any television show that is made around a company (like a paid advertisement tv show and yes they exist) have to explicitly be mentioned that everything is being paid for by the company however theyre lax on it and the only ones who try to enforce it are the ABC's media watch programme
also product placement in tv shows is okay but ive never watched any australian show that really does it, just like sneaky shots of a coke bottle in the scene or something, most people hate watching ads here too
don't forget the Apple product placement monopoly which is god terrible
Cinema is pretty disgraceful too. Pay up to a tenner to go watch adverts for half an hour before being shown the film you want to see.
I love seeing the local ads in cinema, seeing low-res jpeg slideshow ads and awful ads in general is really fucking funny.

Since German TV has less ad breaks, it's also very evident for many US series.
They often fade to over black and then maybe repeat part of a scene.

Bones does (did?) this so awfully often and awkwardly with Toyota cars, it was getting really old at some point.
