[sp]so does pepper get badass moments in the comic too? i mean i get that she's pretty much the only one keeping tony from becoming a destructive wreck, but her bit at the end of IM3 was fantastic.[/sp]

Very good movie. The after-credits scene was pretty fun.
[sp]Why can't you see more of Igor though, for fucks sake, this armor is AMAZING
also he's built like 37 armors in his insomnias, counting mk-42, right ? They better make a game with ALL FORTY-TWO ARMORS IN IT.[/sp]

[sp]I thought that's because being thrown into an other dimension via a giant portal would likely fuck your brains up pretty bad. It would even make a lot of sense that while in that other mindfuck dimension he got so irradiated with ungodly energies that it made him even more of a genius and he just can't stop building shit[/sp]
during the scenes where [sp]all the suits were active[/sp] i was just thinking "shit i want to play as those in some kind of free-roam iron man game"

that does make sense
[sp]for some reason her in the suit during the helicopter attack was really hot for some reason even though she barely did anything
oh god what does that mean[/sp]

well, you might be the submissive type
[sp]At first I was disapointed but the whole Mandarin thing, but I like it now. Actually.
It was clearly a pun at TDKR's Bane/Talia's plot twist. Well played Shane Black, well played. [/sp]
[sp]Was it? It never occurred to me. More like slight aberration from S02E03 from Sherlock, with Moriarty. I kinda wish they would reveal that it was Ben Kingsley all along at the end, but still - Guy Pearce's Mandarin was still cool.[/sp]]

good point
I don't really get why people hate Paltrow so much. Remember that movie Quarantine? When she died, people in the theater actually applauded.
I think it's because she's said some really dumb things in the press. What exactly, I don't know. Personally, I don't mind her. I don't hold anything against actors or actresses because of their personal beliefs and the like.
I noticed some more similarities to [sp]The Incredibles[/sp] when I saw this the second time today.
[sp]In addition to the already mentioned ones like Killian being created like Syndrome was, Killian also had a similar plan. Extremis. Make everyone super - and when everyone's super, no one is. There's also Pepper who is suddenly incredibly powerful at the end and saves the day, much like Jack-Jack. Maya looks over the imprisoned Tony, who is pretty much in the same position as Mr. Incredible, just like Mirage looks over Mr. Incredible. Killian made himself what he is today with his technology. Killian wants to make a big show out of everything, thinking of a way to kill the president that would make for good television, like Syndrome and the Omnidroid. And then there's the buddy dynamics between Tony and Rhodes, much like Mr. Incredible and Frozone. So basically this movie is The Incredibles.[/sp]

[sp]Where's my super suit/ I'm gonna need my suit back[/sp]
So, Iron Man 2 is on TV right now, and watching through it, I really noticed how bad the CGI for the Iron Man suits in Iron Man 3 is.
At some points, it looked pretty good, yet other times, it was incredibly dodgy. I've said this before, but holy shit.

It was a different company doing the CG i think.
Most definitely. I remember sitting through the credits and looking at the massive list for VFX and thinking "How can it look that bad with so many artists signing off on it?"
On last complaint- I also disliked the new faceplate designs for the suits, particularly the MK 42. It looked ugly.
That all being said, I still hold by my statement that it was a good film.

But the designs are exactly the same?
[editline]20th May 2013[/editline]
Like, theres a couple of little indents here and there and the yellow is slightly desaturated but otherwise its the same.
There was slightly different shape to them, as they seemed broader, less sleek. I dunno, maybe my eyes were fucking with me.
[editline]21st May 2013[/editline]
Maybe it was the indents too. I'd need to see the movie again.

multiple companies, actually

first two IM films had ILM.
I didn't mind [sp]Trevor[/sp], but I personally know people who felt the movie was totally ruined by it and I can kinda understand why.
[sp]"we don't even film on location! It's just a green screen! Movie magic!"[/sp]
I fucking loved [sp]Trevor[/sp]

[sp]the imprisonment scene is so similar, right down to the thing holding Tony[/sp]
Is there even one good iron man game?
Man I was so so hyped for The Mandarin but they completely fucked it up, ruined the whole movie for me.
this was awful, i cant believe i went to see this
Is there even one good iron man game?
Right now the best Iron Man game is a mod for GTA IV.
Loved it, but I still think Ironman I is the best one.
That's the general consensus.
One thing I like about Iron Man is that he's fighting worldly terrorist groups who happen to come across powerful technology, not weird supervillains who were born on other planets or some shit
It just makes the whole idea of a superhero movie so different, it's more real.
Plus he doesn't even need the suit to be a badass [sp]take that Captain America[/sp]

[sp]Captain America would still kick his ass.[/sp]
Maybe in a battle of brute force, but I think wits would have to go to Stark.

The dude took out dozens of aliens with his fists and a shield he can throw at such perfect angles it will always come back to him.
I think he can take a normal dude who is extremely intelligent.

I'd like to see them go head-to-head in an American trivia contest.
Someone on reddit wrote up a very, VERY detailed description of a fight between captain America and wolverine. Based on that, I'm reasonably confident cap would win.
