He was as much of an asshat as he was in IM1. Worse. [sp]He kept trying to hulk out Banner for his own amusement. Challenged Cap to a fight. Duelled it out with Thor without even think about it. Even virus attacked Shield[/sp]
Isn't that like, exactly as he is supposed to be?
personally i loved both iron man movies equally. iron man is probably my favorite marvel movie series
I wonder why. The phenomenon is all over the world. The new Batman and the new Iron Man are the most favourite ones. Maybe because they both use the "smart rich guy uses his money to do good instead of trying to create more money with the money he already has" ? Because that's just what Occupy and all other free market critics kind of wish for.

So Mandarin is the villian, im cool with that. Didnt they have an homage to him in Iron Man 1 with The Ten Rings?
Don't forget the part were it is madly in love with Tony, wants him inside it and sodomizes him on a deserted island. Oh and Tony gets Stockholm syndrome too.
Jesus Christ, how horrifying.
So so this is how they work the HUD
Honestly, I watch Iron Man for its HUD and its holograms. It just looks fucking amazing.
Iron Man 2 lacked in holograms, there was just that one scene with the model of the 60's expo disappoint
Isn't that like, exactly as he is supposed to be?
That's my point- he's not getting over it. He's fine. [editline]25th May 2012[/editline]
I dunno, [sp]I don't think he was trying to actually make Banner turn into the Hulk, his suit was on the other side of the hellicarrier, and it's not as if Stark is suicidal or anything. My guess is that he was either genuinely intrigued about how Banner was keeping the Hulk under control, or wanted to make the others think about how dangerous it was, keeping Banner in a pressurised metal container flying through the air. Rogers was equally as responsible as Stark for the tension between them. The Thor thing... Yeah, he wasn't really thinking about it, but that's mainly because he knew if they lost Loki then they lost the cube, and he had to make a snap decision. As for the virus, he did that because he was suspicious about Shield, same as the Captain, who was basically just doing a more IRL version of what Stark's virus was doing (poking around in restricted areas). I think he was more just acting like an ass because that's what the people around him expected from him, but was actually being more mature than he had been in previous films. At the end, he shows that he's matured when he guides the missile into the Portal, knowing full well that it could be suicide.[/sp]
Exactly. I think it was amazing. I was just telling the guy he was not getting over some mental issues left over from IM2. He was back on form.
He's back Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan Tony Stark's bodyguard and chauffeur. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7cpYw.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZIGOk.jpg[/thumb] Ashley Hamilton is also in talks to play Jack Taggert aka Firepower The pilot of an experimental suit created with Stark technology sponsored by the government to create a new generation of soldiers and control rogue super-humans. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/OrD26.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1RpZo.jpg[/thumb]
This film is beginning to sound very busy threat wise. Firepower, Extremis, The Mandarin, and Coldblood. Hope they got a story to bring these guys in and not just because they can. Let's not forget Tony Stark's greatest nemesis, the Chinese film industry which uses it's evil powers to null creative freedom.
too many characters
Was searching up rumors and such about this movie, found the black sabbath song. The backstory intrigues me.
I really don't want to see another 3 second long final battle against a guy in a suit. I also hope they are not just adding in throwaway characters just to have random battles.
I still have hope left on this, though, because of the director
I just hope this film is full of tech porn. You know, capturing TV's by pointing your smartphone at them. The same reason I drool over Quantum of Solace. That MI6 super secret surface computer. Parts of it are no sound, there are demos with sound too, at around 2 minutes.
I found this funny (though completely unreleated, sort of): the director, Shane Black, was Hawkins from Predator.
Oh yes Shane Black. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of the most under rated films.
just finished reading extremis. the story sounds like it's going to be perfect if it has the same style of the first movie, and I also doubt they'd make something as dark as it is
Looks like the Patriot Armour is set to make an appearance. It's being worn by James Badge Dale
Doesn't hold up to the actual Iron Patriot armor, looks kind of goofy.
I feel like every one of Iron Man's movie villains are just someone else in an Iron Man suit
I assume that the patriot armor is going to be used in a celebration or parade scene with the army? and wait, let me guess even more: at some point, something bad is going to happen and he'll need to use it to save people

That's not Iron Man. That's motherfucking War Machine.
Wait... look at what's mounted on his shoulder. That's not Iron Man. That's motherfucking War Machine.
I don't think so. War Machine has the chaingun on his right shoulder, whereas the Patriot in the pictures has a not-a-chaingun on his left shoulder.
Wait... look at what's mounted on his shoulder. That's not Iron Man. That's motherfucking War Machine.
it's neither. it is iron patriot / coldblood
Looks like a spinfusor.
I can't help but think they are going to have Hammer make the suit for Eric Savin so they just clump Coldblood, Iron Patriot, and possibly even Detroit Steel into one thing.

Which had so many villains that it kinda sucked.
Iron Patriot without Osborn, whats the point then?
