This is just as credible as any other rumour on any other website that a journalist stumbles upon. Except mines got proof. Ben Kingsley IS old.
fuck, i thought that was a serious, thought-out analogy about Stark developing tech elsewhere or some shit like that oh well maybe i'm just tired
Wait... look at what's mounted on his shoulder. That's not Iron Man. That's motherfucking War Machine.
And you all rated me dumb...
So Mandarin is the villian, im cool with that. Didnt they have an homage to him in Iron Man 1 with The Ten Rings?
I thought the dude was the bald guy in the first movie. Seeing as this was a autosaved post, not sure if I posted this before lol.
Stane? That was Iron Monger.
I think he means the leader of the Ten Rings who captures Tony in the beginning- the dude who gets his face all scarred up.
I think he means the leader of the Ten Rings who captures Tony in the beginning- the dude who gets his face all scarred up.
Didn't he get killed?
I think the writers said he was linked to the Mandarin. Not sure. A homage or a direct link, can't remember.
I think the writers said he was linked to the Mandarin. Not sure. A homage or a direct link, can't remember.
It was an homage, his faction was called The Ten Rings, an obvious reference to Mandarins ten magic rings.
will the mandarin be an actual mage? it kind of clashes with the whole logical thing that the avengers, and especially iron man, have been following.
will the mandarin be an actual mage? it kind of clashes with the whole logical thing that the avengers, and especially iron man, have been following.
According to Stark in Invincible Iron Man Fear Itself: "I have been and done and seen things that would beggar the rational mind and yet... I have never not trusted that there was a science somewhere beneath it all that could, with rational thought, with reason, with clinical fact, explain it all away." Either way, I'm sick of seeing him fighting other people in suits or with guns.
will the mandarin be an actual mage? it kind of clashes with the whole logical thing that the avengers, and especially iron man, have been following.
Actually, the rings are not magical, but extremely advanced alien technology.
By chance the aliens had fingers so the extremely advanced alien technology was designed to look like a ring. Probably a flawed concept, my mum looses her rings all the time. I don't wear them as I have bony fingers and they slip off. [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] Oh he has bony fingers too. I wonder if his rings ever slip off an wash down the sink. No wonder he has these rings, the aliens probably lost them. Lesson learnt I guess. That's probably round the time they started working on glowing white magic cubes. Even then they just left them carelessly on the ground. [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] He has glasses like Elton John too. I wonder if they go to the same parties.
Actually, the rings are not magical, but extremely advanced alien technology.
I know that they came from aliens, but I can't think of a way to explain that in the movie without making it sound ridiculous and/or rushed.
I know that they came from aliens, but I can't think of a way to explain that in the movie without making it sound ridiculous and/or rushed.
They could probably mix in its origins by having tony capture one and compare it to the tech from the chitauri.
Ben Kingsley makes quite cool villains, doesn't he? I could TOTALLY see him dressed as Mandarin.
But The Mandarin is totally retarded. How the hell did they decide that an asian wizard was a proper arch-nemesis for Iron Man?
I hope they keep alien technology, magic and mutants/aliens/extradimensionalbeings/demons/whateverthefuck out of IR3. Fine when he is in the Avengers, but in his own movie keep it to very advanced technology.

Technology VS 'magic' is an interesting premise. I hope they keep Spiders out of Spider-man.

The horadric cosmic cubes are already there. That and the Mandarin and about 99.6% of villains in the Iron Man universe are one of the above. #notaccurate.
But The Mandarin is totally retarded. How the hell did they decide that an asian wizard was a proper arch-nemesis for Iron Man?
Not wizard, he uses alien technology.
At this year's Comic-Con, footage from The Hobbit, Man of Steel and of course Iron Man 3 is 'firmly expected'.
According to some scoops from The Playlist, S.H.I.E.L.D is still going to have a presence in the movie where they originally wanted to have a another relationship that Tony had with Coulson in the previous movies with a new character played by Val Kilmer. That was scrapped however, due to scheduling issues and Maria Hill will take Coulson's place. Gwyneth Paltrow's role has also been greatly diminished. For the post-credit scene, it supposedly involves Andy Lau's (who has now departed from the project) character where he comes face-to-face with either a masked or unmasked version of Ant-Man.
Not wizard, he uses alien technology.
doesn't matter, he is still a wizard because he uses technology that nobody else can use or explain, therefore it is magic and so
doesn't matter, he is still a wizard because he uses technology that nobody else can use or explain, therefore it is magic and so
By that logic Iron man is a wizard too. And ant man. And captain america.
yes, they use magic to do things a wizard is someone who uses magic to do things so
yes, they use magic to do things a wizard is someone who uses magic to do things so
Wait what?
By that logic Iron man is a wizard too. And ant man. And captain america.
Well... they are.
Well... they are.
How?
