Movies that you hated but everyone else seemed to like

Yeah, yeah. But I'm the only one who used this thread right. Almost every post in here has all been "most recent popular movie" and then everyone agreeing with each other, which means that these are not at all movies that "everyone else likes" and it's mostly become "look at how unique and smart we are". And don't get me wrong, I don't like a lot of mainstream movies. Boondock Saints is a lot more mainstream than you'd think though. It's pretty much all that high school kids talk about, and to me it's just a poor man's Pulp Fiction. Fight Club was a pretty decent movie, I guess I jumped the gun when I said I "hate" it. It's just not nearly as good as people make it sound in my opinion. But practically everyone else in this thread has been doing that. The Hangover was pretty damn funny, but we've all grown to resent it because it's over quoted. And I guess that's how I feel about Fight Club since I tend to converse more with cult movie fans than mainstream viewers.
I rented that movie then got drunk and watched it, and all I vaguely remember is some guy going into a base, planting an explosive and driving out in Hitlers car or something.
That was Valkyrie, Inglorious' really serious cousin.

The Departed
If I recall correctly, NO ONE liked that movie. My goodness, it was just... disgusting

A fried of mine actually liked it, and defended the special effects for it (basicly the only reason he watches movies). I tried telling him it's trash but he also likes Avatar, so it's a losing battle.
Transformers
Avatar. I mean, i came to see a movie, not a computer animation orgasm.
The Matrix
People are always like OH NO YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT, I understood it I just didn't like it.

Basically once a big Hollywood movie is made based on a theme people act like it's the corenerstone of that concept. There are way better existentialist works than The Matrix, but it's always the first one people think of.

except it was a good movie that was fun to watch, not some pansy-ass arthouse flick

The reason I thought I disliked Revolutions was that I didn't understand it.
I watched all three matrix movies in HD, back to back, and it was so fucking awesome that I was prepared to do it all over again as soon as the third movie ended.
Not saying it's not alright to hate it, but I just don't see how anyone could.
star wars movies
high school musical movies
Bourne Trilogy
Rate me whatever, but I just thought it was just like every other action movie =/
That and I hate Matt Damon as an actor. His face makes me rage.

This isn't the "preach to the choir" thread.

Pretty sure they're talking about AvP2 the classic PC game, which was fucking great. The AvP movies were horrible.
A Clockwork Orange.
I agree with the Finding Nemo one, that movie is so highly overrated. The visuals aren't bad though, although it's not enough to save a sunken ship (pun?).

What are they going to do, make the same damn face at me?
The Hurt Locker.
Drag me to Hell.
The Hurt Locker.
The Hurt Locker.
Now, Drag me to Hell, is no doubt a stupid fucking movie.
The Hangover wasn't funny at all.
I think you have to watch it high or something.

It had its good parts. Lol'd at the naked Chinese guy jumping into the face of that guy.
And oh, when Mike Tyson plays airdrums to Phil Collins :v:
