This could be explained as that thing where u wake up but you are only half awake and your mind messes with what you are seeing, i can't remember what it is called. When i was on holiday to ireland we stayed on this farm, i woke up one morning and i could do nothing but look directly at the bottom of my bed and i could hear the very loud noise of wind being caught in like an open window, i saw a strange figure to the right of the bed near the door but as i was looking directly forward it was blurred, whenever i think about it i get the image of Vivian from dawn of the dead opening, pretty terrifying :P I'm getting a bit anxious and looking around me now just writing about it, guess i'm just a wimp.
I believe the sleeping disorder you are looking for is sleep paralysis my friend.

Well I'm gonna contribute now. OK so me, my uncle and his friends went mountain climbing last month, since I'm 15 now, I can now join in, they've been doing this since I was a little infant, and so I was excited to finally go. The mountain was called Mount Banahaw, meaning "Holy Mountain". I've only heard stories from them about it, there were some supernatural occurrences like rewards for the patient and competent and punishment for the ones who are messing around or disrespecting the mountains. This is the mountain. So when we got there, we readied up our bags and grouped and planned on what path we will take, there were muddy paths, rainy rainforest style areas, hot areas and fresh areas, we also went inside caves, waterfalls, lakes and etc. We had strange occurrences like one of our stuff gone missing, or like a group of delinquents suddenly disappearing, after they go on a corner or something, and sudden weather changes. Half of the mountain, we went to sleep, scary thing is it was very jungle like, especially since the folklore about nights like these about a Kapre. A Kapre is a humanoid demon who smokes a large cigar and swings into jungle areas at night. We heard noises while we were in our tents, we were scared shitless, we smelt tobacco and heard a very deep voice like from a heavy smoker. Scary. Well the next morning, we checked if we didn't pissed in our sleeping bags and climbed off, the top was beautiful, the view was great and the feeling was refreshing, we didn't felt tired at all and climbing down was easy compared to climbing up, I'll never forget it and we're gonna go back next year every Holy Week. I know it sounds unbelievable but I'm not forcing you to believe it but for me, it was one heck of an experience.

I suggest some Bob Marley to take it easy.
When I was young, I used to live in a mansion with my parents. Little did we know it was formerly a doctor's surgery, and apparently the doctor died of a heart related condition whilst consulting a patient. I was likely too young to notice, but my mother said she was confronted by a faceless man in a doctor's coat and my dad cut himself shaving because he could see it in the mirror. It freaked my parents enough to cancel the lease contract. Upon doing so the real estate agent had said that no tennant had lived in there for more than a period of one year because of said phenomenons. The place was pretty creepy, though I had no first hand experiences.
Well I had an sort of ''Experience'' with this. I don't know if it was an illusion or something but it was around 4:00 in the morning and I woke up. I stood up and went to the bathroom to drink some water. Suddenly the bathroom's door slowly opened...I didn't move for a second because it's fucking creepy. Then some weird white shaking face with a Stalker-ish body (from hl2) looked around the corner. It had short hair...No mouth..No nose..only eyes and a very weird shaking movement It just faded away and I ran back to my room and turned the lights. I never seen it again.
great job asshole now i wont sleep for a week
i got drunk at a friends house once. i wasn't completely pissed. i was still very aware. but i had had enough for my friends to manage to tape me to a chair. they then decided to leave me there in the dark as they went down to make some food. i watched them go out the door and turn off the lights, so i know i was alone. about five minutes in, i hear some noises round about me, then the unmistakable sound of someone breathing right next to my ears. i even felt the temperature go down around my cheek. needless to say, i started struggling to get out of the chair with all my strength. eventually, my friends came back up, only to see me shaking in the chair. still don't know what to think of that night.

Right at the part where that zombie girl stands in the room, we fled, leaving the popcorn and drinks in the cinema. I had trouble sleeping months after that, because i couldn't stop seeing that girl standing in my room.
I remember once I went on a night hike with some friends up a steep hill. We had torches off as it was a clear night and we were on open land. Behind us was a motorway , which gave off some light as well. However, we couldn't shake the feeling we were being followed, because there were wierd shadows behind us. So yeah, we were pretty sure we were being followed by someone. Yet everytime we shone torches back down where we came from - nothing, not even bushes or shrubs to account for the shadows. We also called out, and got nothing in reply. It was a public path up to a viewpoint, so someone else being there wouldn't have been wierd, but the lack of a person was spooky. We stopped seeing it when we started walking through some hedgerows and light woodland near the top of the hill though.
Sounds like a joke one of my friend said some time ago. Here is the joke. "Mom i think there is a boogie man under my bed, it's not a boogie man, it's just that angry bold man."
Chances are your eyes were playing tricks on you and you were scaring yourself into thinking that you're being followed.
Why would we be scared? I live in the UK and there were six of us, so there was nothing out there that we would find scary. And yes, I know the dark plays tricks on your eyes, but you get dark patches when there's something dark in front of something light, which is what we saw. Just wierd. Our best guess was a loose sheep or a cow however, which takes all the spookiness out of it.
I have a bit of a weird story about 6 years ago my father bought an old sword from a yard sale it was a world war 2 sword I think...So he brought it home and he kept it under his bed so that my sister would not mess with it. Well the next morning he woke up to find the sword missing, he asked me if I had it, I told him that I haven't touched it. He finally looks around and finds the sword on the kitchen counter, we had no idea how it got there at first I thought he was trying to scare me. So that night I went to go make my bed when I heard laughing coming from my dads room. It sounded like a small boy laughing, I quickly went in there and didn't see anyone. So it was a bit confusing and creepy at the same time. I tell my dad about what happened he says that it might have been the radio or something(he used to keep his radio on in his room). Well that night it was about 11pm when I heard something slam, I quickly woke up and ran into my dads room where I saw my dad laying on the floor looking as if he saw the devil. His eyes were wide and he was shaking, I asked what the hell happened he said that he say a small boy with blond hair in a blue striped shirt standing in the doorway of his room, he quickly tried to get out of bed, this caused him to trip and fall onto the floor facing towards under the bed, he said that he saw a blank face of an old man staring back at him when he fell towards under the bed. We both decided that something wasn't right, that night we quickly put the sword in a stack of insulation we had in the garage. The next morning we were mentioning it to our neighbor and we were going to show him so I went to go get the sword but it wasn't there. I asked my dad if he had it he said no he hasn't touched it. We never saw the sword again after that, I have had a couple other paranormal things happen but don't want to build a bigger wall of text.

Not a ghost story but could have been something like what you seen. I woke up once and I thought I was entirely awake, and from my bed I could see the little white table my brother had made in school, I must have been about 13 at the time. And on this table there was a big packet of celebration chocolates. I was so happy at that moment, a 13 year old with a big packet of celebrations upon awakening. I started to reach over, tried to grab it, but as soon as my hand phased through the celebrations my brain realised something and the packet vanished, but everything in the room was the exact same. I was pissed.
Well not exactly a ghost story but something strange that happened to me: It was 1997 or 98 I can't really remember exactly when, anyways one night I had a dream, I was walking around a place, one thing I do remember is it being quite hot and I still remember quite well what it looked like; normally I do not remember much of my dreams but this one stuck very well. A few years later, must have been 2001 I think, I went on holiday to America, Florida with my mum and sister, after being there a day or so we went to look around the local area and we came to this block of shops, I recognized this from my dream immediately and as far as I'm aware it matched the place I dreamed of exactly; I of course told my mum but she did not believe me. I still can't explain it, for some reason I dreamed of a place over 3,000 miles away I would visit years later; I've not had any other strange experiences.
And you remembered the details of the dream as you saw the shop? That kinda stuff happens to me so often that it has become annoying.
Not so creepy, but somewhat odd. Once, I was playing the piano (the song still alive) and then I heard a very clear, harsh voice say Stop Playing That Thing! Really creepy, because when I turned around, no one was there. Another odd thing that happens often is when i sometimes feel vibes (feelings) coming from a certain object or place. I was looking into a store window when I just felt I had to get out of there. Any of you get that feeling?
