One time when I was talking to my friends on Skype, all of a sudden I hear a loud thud in the kitchen. I check out what happened and find all the bottles from inside the refrigerator outside all scattered on the floor. I have no idea how they got out of there, and I don't want to know either. Another time was when I was around 6 or so and saw a mysterious white figure opening opening the door to my room and walking in towards me. I saw nothing after I looked again after hiding under the sheets.

Ive had that happen to me, but I remember hearing being exposed to a electronic magnetic field, which a power breaker, or even a PSU could put out, can cause things to happen, in your head to so to speak, not sure if i believe that one. but I am a atheist, and don't believe in ghosts, i will though believe in flukes, such as left over matter.
But i once lived in this house, seeing my step dad died in it, and we moved in for my brothers sake, and this house was OLD 120 years old, fucking 1800's, It was in south carolina, and no one has lived in it with a complete family, there was never a MAN in the famly when someone lived there. I lived with my mom, and my brother, so no "father" figure ever was there.
But seeing this house has been surrounded with deaths, and alot of other shit, and it looked like it came from the horror movie, about the kid who killed his whole famly, i forgget the name.
But it had some.. odd shit happen there.
But i always had the idea of being fallowed or watched there, something was not right, we heard alot of shit downstairs at night, but things got moved like chairs, and shit got moved when it was just me and my mom home, (bro at collage). I was only 10 at this time, and to be in a house where someone died no less than weeks ago, and seeing my mom always went out and left me alone for hours on in (child neglect :( ) but you can see where you would end up shitting bricks alot at that age.
This other thing happened a year ago, Also i moved out of the house above after a year, rent went way up in that area. But this other experence happened at my new house, has no history of ghosts, and dead people and shit, fresh, newly built house. Well I would call this a lucid dream, I had stayed up late that night, i probably went to bed around eh 3, so I had only been awake for no less than 14 hours. Which seems odd, seeing lucid dreams appear when you have lack of sleep, but i do suffer from insomnia.
Well I woke in the night, late at night, it was pitch black, and i felt some kind of weight on me, then i felt something move. At first I though it was my cat, this thing move close to me, and started rubbing its self into my face, it was ferry, and had whiskers. Then i remembered.... I didn't let the cat into my room. I want to get up and jump and turn on the light, cause i though it was a giant ass rat in my bed, rubbing its face into mine. But i couldn't move, it was odd, i was paralyzed almost, I was aware, but unable to to do anything, but i could still breathe. So i belew at this "thing" knowing no animal likes a human to blow there breathe on them, always gets ride of my cats. This animal backed away after i blew all my breathe on it, so here i am panting, and i can't move. Then I don't know what happened next but the weight all a sudden was gone. I was all a sudden to move, I jump up, turn on the light, and look at my bed, trying to find fur, or some kind of evidence that there had been some kind of animal on me... nothing was there, the night went on with out incident, no other incidence has happened in this room since then.

Obviously the most logical answer is that spirits of the long dead have come back into the physical world to spill your bottles and frighten small children. Obviously.

Night paralyzing terror or whatever. It's basically when you're asleep, but you can see. So you're paralyzed completely and your dreams are superimposing themselves onto your vision leading to some crazy shit.

But i will admit i am not the most sane, so I'm been hearing alot of things in the past year.
The night paralyzing terror happened earlyer this year. And i couldn't see, it was too dark, i couldn't open my eyes, i could just controle my breathing, and feel.

When I still lived in washington we used to live in this really old house. My parents bought it because it was very cheap for the size. When I was 14 I came home and no one was there I just figured my parents were late from work again. So I went up to my room turned on the tv was watching the very first episode of mythbusters. Well about 30 minutes into I had to take a piss so I was going down the long hallway with a clock at the end. Halfway through the clock stopped ticking and I saw real quick flashes of light then out of no where an almost blinding figure came up close enough to me that i could see his facial features. That when he reached out for me (me being scared out of my mind dash for the front door) When I started running I heard this earpiercing screech and fell to the ground when it vanished. My parents had seen it too so we sold the house. Well about a year later I decided to look up its history. Turns out a doctor had tortured and killed someone with a surgical knife. I'mm happy here in Oklahoma far away from that scary place.

I sometimes think I see ghosts but that's usually after watching fucking screamer videos. I love the dark, usually shower in the dark. If I ever have seen a ghost, then it has not stood out to me besides my normal ghost paranoia combined with flashing synapses from going rapidly into darkness from the light.

Maybe it hasn't anything to do with ghosts but it is strange, a year ago I had a dream I was in a loungy bar with billiard pools, with 3 people, 2 friends and I girl, which I couldn't recognize.
However some month after my dream I went with 2 friends in a new poolbar, it was normal, then one friend presented his new girlfriend and WHAM it was like in my dream we were in a lounge playing pool with a girl. It was very fucking strange. Kind of a Déja-vu.

One night, my door opened automatically, It was actually shut properly, not sure it was the wind(only possible explanation), usually doors shutter forwards and backward when there is wind about. But I was not actually shitting my pants, I was trying to ignore the feeling that nothing was there. All in my mind.
Another time, was when my friend(a lookalike goronchev with his hat on) and a old dude(lol pedo) we knew decided to go out at nighttime to a abandoned house. It was quite cool there, we saw a creepy painted sign with "I'M COMING BACK" on the walls. Not sure there was such a presence there. But only the cooling part, it was cold, not much though. But the old fella thought he saw shadows in the house and around before we left. So something must be there. IT MUST BE TRUE(lol jk).
