I have quite a few paranormal experiences to share.
1) This is my earliest one, and one of my earliest memories as well. I was at my grandparents beach house in St. Martin when I was 4. We were staying there for about a week, and I had a room all to myself. I slept with the light on, because I had a fear of that dark back then. So one morning I suddenly come out of sleep, fully awake, sit up, and look at the doorway which leads to an open hall, all in about a three second time period. I knew something was there, and it woke me. I see a large black shape looking in at me, and then sidles off and dissipates. I, being a naive 4 year old, think it to be an adult waking me as they usually do. But when I walk into the hall, everybody is still asleep and the sun is just starting to rise. Confused, I go back to bed. This wasn't that scary at the time, but thinking back it was weird as fuck.
2) I'm sure everybody sees the shadow moving out of the corner of their eye, and this has happened to me many times, the above story being just one. Other times, I have seen shadow-like cats leaping on to chairs, walking around corners, walking by my feet, etc . . . clear as day, looking almost directly at them. I've also seen people figures made of a black shadowy substance as well, like the above. I was eating breakfast alone one morning and I was facing a catwalk hallway on the second floor. I had a very wide open house where this was possible at the time of occurrence. I look up and see a shadow man striding across the catwalk, and then vanish. Strange!
3) This is probably the least creepy, but the coolest. In another house of mine (I've moved 7 times in my childhood), I opened my bedroom door to go out, and looked down the hallway into the office of my father, which was brightly lit and contained him sitting in a chair at his computer, looking away from me. Across his open doorway, I see a young woman in a pure white dress walking from one side of the small room to the other. I specifically remember the clarity of her legs moving lucidly beneath the fabric. She doesn't walk back across the doorway, and I go inside to see what's up. Obviously she's gone, and my dad didn't see anything unusual. But she was beautiful, and it was the clearest spirit vision I've ever had.
Wow, what a coincidence. Yesterday, I was searching if there were any ghost threads around Facepunch recently. There were none, then today, there happened to be a ghost thread made.
That's my strange experience. I'm serious. It's happened to me many times and it started back in 2006 when I "saw" my long lost friend and I meet after school. The next day after school, I happened to see him after school and we greeted each other.
Oh and this stuff happens to me all the time. Like I can see into the future or make up what's gonna happen in the future. I don't do it purposely though. It's like, you think of something but that thought goes away immediately or you never stop and think about that thought, you don't really care about what you were thinking about. Then, it just happens. Not sure if this happens to everyone, but I know it happens to me.
I always get this its like deja vu. Example i would dream of something remember it when i wake up then forget after but in a month or so i will see it and i will be like iv seen that before i cant really explain it.
I've become a bit of a skeptic myself regarding "ghosts" and the paranormal. I've been able to write off many experiences to sleep paralysis, however, I'll share a couple of them that I have not thus far been able to attribute to anything besides the paranormal.
Now this one absolutely shouts "fake", however whether or not you take my guarantee that it is not, I know that it was very much real. I had just moved into my current house when I was three. My parents and I along with some friends of the family were standing about five-ten feet in front of an old time antique cupboard. Well out of the blue, the cupboard appears to open, and sure enough it did swing open. And holy fucking shit, a small ceramic bowl comes barreling out towards us. We all stood there in silence for a few seconds in both horror and amazement as we wondered what the fuck just happened.
I've had other experiences where I feel like somebody is right behind me breathing down my neck as well as being watched. In addition to all of this, when my mom used to sleep in the room next to mine, she claimed to have horrible nightmares with no apparent cause. I get chills and a feeling of uneasiness whenever I go into that room or even look inside of it.
And one more, when I was three or four shortly after we moved, I had gotten a terrible cough accompanied by an even worse fever. Before I go onwards with this, I should point out that we now have reason to believe the woman who lived in our house back around 1820 when it was built had died from a similar fever. My mom kept hearing what she described as light footsteps that appeared to me coming from the room I was staying in. As soon as she would get close to the door, they immediately ceased.
And on this last bit, when I was still young I had an odd dream. I can only describe it as seeing my house at an earlier time still from my point of view at my bed. In the dream, I saw what appeared to be a woman in her thirties or so that was fairly tall with light complexion. She had brownish-black hair. It wasn't too long ago that I began to experiment with a crystal pendulum that a person who claims to be clairvoyant would use. Since my mom was into such beliefs, it was not hard to get her permission to use it. We went through the usual bits asking questions. Whatever "ghost" or "entity" that was interacting with the pendulum answered "yes" by spinning it in the corresponding direction to questions such as "Are you a woman?", "Do you have brown or black hair?" and "Do you play the piano?" The last one because my mom told me she had heard the woman used to play the piano.
In addition to all this, I've had one person I know testify that she had been in my house, before I moved in I'd assume, and that she witnessed a levitation in the room my mom had those nightmares in. I can't recall if she mentioned a piano though. I highly doubt there was an actual "levitation" although she described my house in shockingly accurate detail. I have also had a friend over that refuses to sleep in that room as well. :tinfoil:
Your brain creates what you believe. That is a scientific fact. In all of these ghost circumstances. It's not really ghosts, it's you (your subconcious, curiosity and state of mind) scaring yourself witless. I'm not saying it always is, I mean the guy probably did have a burglar at his place by the bed @ OP. Even things like déjavu's or seeing-into-the-future shit is because of how your brain relevates to things.
However, there are those things that we just can't explain. I guess that's what keeping us believing in it.
GOASTLOL
I've never had any ghostly events happen. I don't really believe in ghosts.
I've actually had a few strange experiences myself. Once i was at my cousin's house when out of nowhere one of the kiddies run upstairs from the basement fucking shitting himself. I told him "Wow man what's wrong?" and he tells me they're hearing a voice from the boiler room. Just at that moment everyone who was in the basement ran upstairs looking like they just saw a ghost. So being the machoman that i was i tell them "Theres nothing down there I'll go check." Bad fucking move bro. After scouting the boiler room, i was climbing the stairs to tell the kids that there was nothing there. I had left the door to the room slightly open and out of nowhere i hear a huge THUMP. I turned around and saw the closed door and i swear i nearly shit my pants. No windows, no wind, and NOBODY was in the basement. I never went in there again 0_o.
Also this one time at "Tequila Sunrise" ( a mexican food restaurant near my house ) i was eating with a bunch of friends. I had finished my food so i went outside for a breather and i hear in a crisp, clear male voice "I'm telling you man my car was RIGHT there". I look around EVERYWHERE trying to see where the voice came from. The street was deserted except for a girl walking across the street and you couldn't hear a thing from the restaurant and there were no buildings around it. Needless to say i still shrugged it off and bought a few more enchiladas.
One time I realised that the human brain can construct some pretty fucked up and scary hallucinations or falsely percieved images and sounds.
IMO ghosts don't exist cause there's no proof of their direct existence, and all these "ghost hunters" are either just in it for the TV cash/for the lulz/because they are fucking dumb.
Last night I was camping up north, I had a dream that I was a girl on a Japanese game show, I was standing in the shower rubbing my clit as fast as I could why some man in a suit in the corner of my vision shouted at me in Japanese.
I think it turned lucid because I remember forcing myself awake due to disgust.
I have a bit of a weird story about 6 years ago my father bought an old sword from a yard sale it was a world war 2 sword I think...So he brought it home and he kept it under his bed so that my sister would not mess with it. Well the next morning he woke up to find the sword missing, he asked me if I had it, I told him that I haven't touched it. He finally looks around and finds the sword on the kitchen counter, we had no idea how it got there at first I thought he was trying to scare me. So that night I went to go make my bed when I heard laughing coming from my dads room. It sounded like a small boy laughing, I quickly went in there and didn't see anyone. So it was a bit confusing and creepy at the same time. I tell my dad about what happened he says that it might have been the radio or something(he used to keep his radio on in his room). Well that night it was about 11pm when I heard something slam, I quickly woke up and ran into my dads room where I saw my dad laying on the floor looking as if he saw the devil. His eyes were wide and he was shaking, I asked what the hell happened he said that he say a small boy with blond hair in a blue striped shirt standing in the doorway of his room, he quickly tried to get out of bed, this caused him to trip and fall onto the floor facing towards under the bed, he said that he saw a blank face of an old man staring back at him when he fell towards under the bed. We both decided that something wasn't right, that night we quickly put the sword in a stack of insulation we had in the garage. The next morning we were mentioning it to our neighbor and we were going to show him so I went to go get the sword but it wasn't there. I asked my dad if he had it he said no he hasn't touched it. We never saw the sword again after that, I have had a couple other paranormal things happen but don't want to build a bigger wall of text.
Shit, that asshole that sold you the sword brought undead hitlerjungen to the USA, just as Adolf intended.
Also I have an Arisaka bayonet somewhere that killed a man... Was right next to my desk but I haven't seen it in awhile.
Well not exactly a ghost story but something strange that happened to me:
It was 1997 or 98 I can't really remember exactly when, anyways one night I had a dream, I was walking around a place, one thing I do remember is it being quite hot and I still remember quite well what it looked like; normally I do not remember much of my dreams but this one stuck very well.
A few years later, must have been 2001 I think, I went on holiday to America, Florida with my mum and sister, after being there a day or so we went to look around the local area and we came to this block of shops, I recognized this from my dream immediately and as far as I'm aware it matched the place I dreamed of exactly; I of course told my mum but she did not believe me.
I still can't explain it, for some reason I dreamed of a place over 3,000 miles away I would visit years later; I've not had any other strange experiences.
That can be explained quite easy: Your brain associates the place you have been at with the place in your dream and you suddenly have the feeling that it's the same. Actually it's just a mistake made by your brain. It's called a Dejavu or so
Yesterday me and my sister were sitting in my room, when I saw a quick glimpse of a cat walking past the doorway of the other bedroom. I told her that one is still here (they should have been downstairs in order to not disrupt our sleep, we had the door to upstairs closed). And she said, "But they are both sleeping in our couch"
mystery deeeeeeeepens
It was creepy though.
I still have nightmears about that cat
[editline]02:28PM[/editline]
i had 3 experiances with wierd shit. 1st one was like 5 years ago i deamed of this guy with 2 kids. One with blond hair and a brown shirt. And one with black hair and a blue shirt. The dad was carrying out some pizza in a basket from a restruant. I saw waterslides in the background, the restraunt was yellow and it had the word bananna in it. Then 1 year ago I went to Aquatica (New kickass seaworld park) I was going to the waterslids and I saw EXACTLY THAT HAPPEN.
The second time I was trying to sleep when i saw 2 yellow figures outside my window. They were the shape of any person but they were yellow. They just walked and dissapeared. The strange thing is that i have blinds. And they didnt go thru the blinds. Just the gap between the blinds.
The third time was when i was half awake half dreaming I was in my kitchen. Night. Date was 4/2/09 (The date of the time it happened) I was wearing what I went to bed (Boxers and a white tee shirt) I was going to reach for a bowl and it fell down and crashed. When i woke up i jumped, clinched my fists, and said "CRAP". Then said "What... the... fuck..." The next day a bowl was broken on the floor.
Once upon a time, there was a Ouija board thread on face-punch.
The op said he was going to get pwned by a evil spirit. 4 days later. He never posted back.
:ghost:
True story, and we haven't heard from him since.
I saw Slender Man so I go for the AR-2 and he chokes me with his mass wooden tentacles. I then died while realizing that I was dead so death came quickly after I died while dying. That's why I'm dead and posting on FP.
before i was born my ma talked about there old house and they would see a blue woman go from the closet to the bathroom
I always get this its like deja vu. Example i would dream of something remember it when i wake up then forget after but in a month or so i will see it and i will be like iv seen that before i cant really explain it.
Its exactly what i get, like i will dream about a black car driving along then a cat run across the road, several days, weeks or even months later, the exact image happens and its like, wow deja vu
snip
This night I had a nightmare about Slenderman, I fought him and I felt it all, I woke up and looked at the time it said:"1912-07-02 0-00", and I can't change it back.
I see ghosts everyday in my kitchen at night. It's so dark you can't see anything, your subconscious starts to play with you. Sometimes I say "hey" and get something from the fridge. Seriously, it's just your imagination

Yea that happen to me once. well more then once it feels weird when it happen to me
I once looked at some weird piece of metal covered with a glass plate, then this guy came, scaring me shitless, then he did everything i did. FUCKING SCARY AND YOU CANT HAVE A LOGICAL EXPLANATION! :P Joking, seriously. I got some scary stories, but i wont scare Half of Facepunch shitless the next five months so i wont post em here.
this is kind of a long story and im sick right now so im going to be posting it in parts. This story doesn't only involve ghosts though.
before I begin the actual story I'll tell you the back story and my cousin's experience.
Church 911's origin
It's been said to be built over the gates of hell, and I believe it may be. Years and years back, the church's care taker always wanted his daughter to go into the church with him. But she never did. Every time she even went near the church she would act strange. Run off alone, and be found just sitting there staring into space. But one day, the girl actually went into the church, alone. That night the care taker found his daughter, hanging in the middle of the church, and the cross, which once was white, was black as if it had been singed.
My cousin's experience with the church
My cousin Brad - and this was a tough fellow, not afraid of anything - one day went up to the church with his friends, and they convinced him to go into the church. The only way in was a window that had been smashed. So, knowing Brad, he climbed in through the window. He got in and right away, he heard a shriek.
Pictures on the wall were bleeding, the room got extremely hot, and the white cross slowly faded to black. Brad when to crawl out but the windows were barred. By this time he was crying. His friends outside were telling him to just come back out.
"I can't! The windows are barred!" he yelled.
"No they aren't! just climb through man!"
Finally brad tried to grab at the bars, and they disappeared. So he quickly jumped into the window and climbed through. And that was the first time anyone has seen him cry.
Alright i'm going to post this and get me some chicken noodle soup. then I'll start writing my actual experiences.
As a kid i would always see these wierd spinning giant ladybugs on my ceiling. ( Not the red kind of ladybugs, the amber kind.) A few months back i remembered them then a few nights ago i saw them again, the last thing i felt was scared, I always loved them as a kid and i was glad to see them again.
This happened a few minutes ago....
My lizard was in his cage sitting on his log as normal but then he started to behave odd. He started chasing something, something that can fly as he was jumping. There wern't any crickets in his cage at the time. So after a while of chasing this invisible thing he stopped and sat on his log... then it looked as though something shoved him off. No he didn't jump it really looked as if something gave him a big shove right off the log, then he started to chase it again. He is still doing it now hehe.

It seems obvious that the ceramic bowl was unbalanced, it slid toward the door, pushed it open and then fell. If you looked at the cuboard it might have actually been a pretty slow occurrence. Only at the last second was it noticed, making it seem so sudden.

That's more just personal fears, your parental guardian is the one you listen to the most. If they are afraid for what ever reason so are you.

Subconsciously you answered the questions. It's like a mother asking herself what her child is like, getting all the questions right she assumes that she is the child. You asked the question you already knew the answer to. If you asked the question "What is your favorite number?", it replies "408", and you didn't know the answer and then you found out afterwards it was 408, then you would have something.

I witnessed an impossible cube on my computer. Not only that, I also read an article about 13 craftsmen being killed in an accident.
It's linking to things that are unrelated.
Actually the impossible cube is a good example of this. You see the planks of wood connected, however, they aren't.

Here's the best way to scare the living shit out of yourself.
If your bedroom connects to a hallway place a little night light at the end of the hallway, go to bed (at night with no lights on), leave your door open, and look down the hall way. Watch as the light gets dimmer and dimmer.

The reason why you get this is because you never fully remember a dream. If something reminds you of the dream then it basically becomes the memory of the dream. Your brain ignores the differences and sees it as the same.
You had a dream, you got married.
Dream: Two dressers, an oak clock, a Burgendy bed, and a woman in a wedding dress.
You remembered this for a while
Remember: Furniture was around, there was a dark bed, and a woman in a wedding dress.
20 years later, you got married and you feel you have all seen this before.
See: A wooden nightstand and a cabinet, a black bed, and a woman in a wedding dress.

You were sleep walking. You even said you were half awake half dreaming.
I'd like your take on my incident.
I was just watching TV while sitting at my desk. I was getting dozing off a bit when suddenly, the dishes on my desk slammed to the ground, I spun my chair and heard this echoing shreak, almost like a scream. I exited my room to see no one else was in the house.
What happened just now?
When i was about six i woke up during the night. Must have been about 3 in the morning. The only light was coming from the street laps outside. I could hardly see anything in my room, but i swear i could see the outline of a person about a foot away from my bed. I screamed for my mum, she came in and turned on the light. It wasn't there, so i guess i just imagined it.
Wow, what a coincidence. Yesterday, I was searching if there were any ghost threads around Facepunch recently. There were none, then today, there happened to be a ghost thread made.

I have a similar experience often. One day I'll see something of particular interest that I've never heard of/rarely hear of. For about a week onwards I'll see things related to it in some way just about everywhere.
i have had many ghost experiences, When i was just a child i would talk and make friends with many ghosts, The number possibly hitting or going past 20 different ghosts. Now, I was never able to see them but i COULD hear them, Very clearly infact. But i lost my abilities over time a s i grew up and now the only record are the recording that a conselour has. (yes, A counselor i used to go to actually has, on tape, my actual experiences with ghost and if you turn it up I'm sure you could hear them.) i have also had an experience with some sort of dimensional visitor. It all happened when i was about 11 and i was watching tv in my living room while laying on the couch. My eyes were scanning the room and then, BAM!, i saw it, the back of a crouched figure was all that wasn't hidden behind the table. It was scaly, wet and cold looking with a large fin on it's back. it made a low, clicking noise like you hear in a horror movie and then slowly receded into the hallway. I know it could not have been a figment of my imagination since it was there for more then 20 seconds.
This isn't exactly a ghost thing , but its pretty strange. On his way home, my friend keeps hearing footsteps follow him. And on the edge of the forest by his house. and while we were walking we heard jet engines in the sky, with no planes around. And then we saw flickering in the sky, making a rough shape of a diamond. can anyone explain? excuse my grammar.
I want a naked, female ghost to appear. She can rape me all night long. :smug:
All the time at the grocery store I have a ghost open the front door for me. No one seems to mind because they all have ghosts opening the door for them too.
