I'd say this applies more to myspace-whores than facebook-whores, but both have the same grouping nonetheless. I'm one of the highschool/college students who [i]actually[/i] used it for its original purpose as a way for general older students to have social networking without all the baggage myspace dragged around like testicles with elephantitus. you had to know your friends' names before you search for them, and it was nice and isolated... I think the allowance of all those crappy applications where you can spam strangers with requests opened up the myspace friend-whoring again after a while, and now we've got both myspace-whores and our older relatives all posting in the same place.
