There will always be "another fucking bird pokemon". Flying/normal type at the start of the game is in every game. The difference is in their stats. It also provides an easy source for pokemon that can use HM02 AKA Fly.
And whether it's cool looking or not is a matter of opinion. Reshiram is a Legendary that is important to the plot, so it serves quite a large purpose. It's clear now that you have no clue what you are talking about with these games.

It is addictive, and still is. But there is a reason why I enjoyed Soul Silver and I couln't finish Diamond.

I dont think anyone enjoyed Diamond. Platinum was tolerable, though.

The Pokemon haven't been given their English names yet, they'll be released closer to the release of the game.

I don't see what's at all wrong with those apart from the ice cream. There's plenty other pokemon that include objects in their design.
I don't think the ice cream was a very good idea to base a pokemon off, though.
They should have stopped after emerald, to this day I only know the 151 pokemon.

:doh: The english patch is complete shit, its only the bare minimum so impatient people like us can use it. Trust me, the final product will be MUCH better when it hits in March.
I think there's a lot of new cool pokemon, like the croc one.
I know some people who I think will always like Pokemon along with Yu-gi-oh and stuff.
Last Pokemon game I bought was Pearl.. just to relive my childhood memories or yellow version.
I don't care for these 'versions' anymore because they're all the same, just tweaked and added some mini games.

I loved Diamond
I recognized a lot of old pokemon, from the way the picture had them posed. But there are some cool guys in there.

I cant really argue with this, but the final evo's of the new starters look kinda nice. Except for the fire pig, of course.
I can't believe people still play Pokemon. It just stopped being good ages ago--it doesn't deserve another chance.
