I dont get this running out of ideas/ new pokemon look dumb way of thinking. The design of the original 151 were all dumb and Put the generations in reverse order, what do you see? -Electrode and Voltob are just fucking balls that swap colors. - Onamyte and Omastar are both fucking abortions of design, how unoriginal. - The Squirtle Evo-line is an copy of the Purotooga line - Its nice that Tangrowth, Magmortar and Electrivire all got pre evos, they look a little cheap though. - Poliwrath is just a crapier version of Gamageroge TLDR Pokemon were always stupid looking/ poor concepts

You'll notice as time goes on that the pokemon get more decorative and filled with shit because they have no other ideas.

As such, sprite work was pretty limited. I'm sure that if the original games were made today, the sprites would be as intricate as the present sprites are. Also, give GameFreak a break. Not only that but they are basing their designs on things that were among the rejects in the first and second generation pokemon. They need to stop making new shitty pokemon and just improve on the games. I know they have money they need to make but you can only milk a dead miltank for so long.
