Also another one I remember, a scary one with a (sort of) happy end.
there was a girl and had a boyfriend who played in a band. He was a great singer.
He suddenly catched a disease and was going to die. Later on, his girlfriend hear he died in the hospital and the girl immediately set off to the hospital.
One of the doctors went to the girl and gave her an envelope. The doctor said that her boyfriend told him that the envelope contained a disc with a song that was dedicated to her, but that she was not allowed to open it unless she felt she was in danger or if she was scared.
That night she was home alone, and was watching tv while crying a little. She still couldn't get over the fact that her boyfriend died. She wanted to take a bath, but the bathroom was upstairs. She stood on the first step of the stair and she heard a rumbling noise that came from upstairs. She took another step and heard an even louders rumble and she thought she heard a whisper. She became scared and went down stairs again and opened the tv. She could swear she heard soft footsteps upstairs.
Then, the envelope came into her mind, she had to open it. She did and put the disc in the cd player next to her tv. She heard the lovely music and she immediately started to cry. It was wonderful until it came to a part where it went like "...and do you remember when I told you that you should not go upstairs" and froze there for half a second. Then it looped from "...you should not go upstairs" and continued looping a couple of times.
She became frightend and did not know what to do anymore. Then suddenly the song continued from a very different part, one that she did not hear before. It went like "...you had screamed for help and I said call the police". It froze again for like half a second and began at "...call the police" and looped there. It did not stop and she grabbed the phone and dialed 911.
Police came to her house and later it turned out that there was a guy hiding in the bathroom that had the intention to rape and kill the girl.
The girl was very glad that her boyfriend saved him, even when he was actually not here.
That's why they are so great. My mum told me few before, don't know how plausible they actually are.
A group of Russian troops were sleeping in a tent in Afghanistan. The person watching them decided to go out for a shit. As he walks around the rock he was behind he sees a cobra, just standing there and not letting him move. The soldier takes a seat on the rock and waits. After a while the cobra just goes away. He comes back to tent to find everyone inside dead with their throats sliced. Apparently the cobra was trying to save him.
Another one is about a black soldier who in war time had a one night stand with some girl. She had a white girl. she grew up and lived with a white man, but had a black kid. The Husband ofcourse left her thinking she cheated on him.
I'm sorry but most of these are shit (the thread not just the ones quoted). They're too short to be creepy and not well written. I mean sure a soldier is just going to stand there while a cobra threatens him because it's so difficult to go around it.
A man went to a hotel and walked up to the front desk to check in. The woman at the desk gave him his key and told him that on the way to his room, there was a door with no number that was locked and no one was allowed in there. She explained that it was a storeroom, and that it was out of bounds. She reminded him of this several times before allowing him upstairs. So he followed the instructions of the woman at the front desk, going straight to his room, and going to bed. However the insistence of the woman had piqued his curiosity, so the next night he walked down the hall to the door and tried the handle. Sure enough it was locked. He bent down and looked through the wide keyhole. Cold air passed through it, chilling his eye.
What he saw was a hotel bedroom, like his, and in the corner was a woman whose skin was incredibly pale. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. He stared in confusion for a while, was this a celebrity? The owners daughter? He almost knocked on the door, out of curiosity, but decided not to. As he was still looking, the woman turned sharply and he jumped back from the door, hoping she would not suspect he had been spying on her. He crept away from the door and walked back to his room. The next day, he returned to the door and looked through the wide keyhole. This time, all he saw was redness. He couldn’t make anything out besides a distinct red color, unmoving. Perhaps the inhabitants of the room knew he was spying the night before, and had blocked the keyhole with something red. He felt embarrassed that he had made the woman so uncomfortable, and hoped she had not made a complaint with the woman on the front desk.
At this point he decided to consult her for more information. After some gentle quizzing and the promise that the explanation would go no further than him she finally said "Well, I might as well tell you the story of what happened in that room. A long time ago, a man murdered his wife in there, we find that even now, people get uncomfortable staying there. But these people were not ordinary. They were white all over, except for their eyes, which were red."
Read that one before, IT'S FUCKING CREEPY SHIT :v:

Sorry doctor, that was fucked up.
Now I don't know if somebody has already said this but I've seen all of these on Urban Legends (that tv show).
poisonous snake
This makes me rage because of the stupidity.....SNAKES ARE NOT POISONOUS. POISONOUS SNAKES DO NOT EXIST. THERE ARE ONLY VENOMOUS SNAKES.
POISON=DEATH BY INGESTION (eating/drinking)
VENOM=DEATH BY INJECTION (injection in to the bloodstream such as through a snakebite)
What you need wiki too??-

Venom is any of a variety of toxins used by certain types of animals. Generally, venom is injected by such means as a bite or a sting. Poisons, by contrast, are eaten, inhaled, etc., by the victim.

I've seen the 3rd one a lot. There are a couple versions.
Another one:
A young lady is alone in her apartment. She goes to sleep with the dog on the floor beside her. In the middle of the night, she is awoken by a strange sound. She is alarmed, but reaches down to the dog who licks her hand. She is reassured and goes back to sleep. In the morning, she finds her dog hung in the shower. Where the dog slept, she picks up a note that says "Humans can lick too."

I never understood how anyone found that creepy.
The Medic
In the winter of 1944, with overtaxed supply lines in the Ardennes, a medic in the German army had completely run out of plasma, bandages and antiseptic. During one particularly bad round of mortar fire, his encampment was a bloodbath. Those who survived claimed to have heard, above the screams and barked commands of their Lieutenant, someone cackling with almost girlish glee.
The medic had made his rounds during the fire, in almost complete darkness as he had so many times before, but never had he been this short on supplies. No matter. He would do his duty. He had always prided himself on his resourcefulness.
The bombardment moved to other ends of the line, and most men dropped off to sleep in the dark, still hours of the morning - New Year's Day, 1945. The men awoke at first light with screams. They discovered that their bandages were not typical bandages at all, but hunks and strips of human flesh. Several men had been given fresh blood transfusions, yet there had been no blood supplies available. Each treated man was almost completely covered, head-to-toe, with the maroon stain of blood.
The medic was found, sitting on an ammunition tin, staring off into space. When one man approached him, and tapped him on the shoulder, his tunic fell off to reveal that large patches of his skin, muscle, and sinew had been stripped from his torso and his body was almost completely dried of blood. In one hand was a scalpel, and in the other, a blood transfusion vial. None of the men treated for wounds that night, in that camp, saw the end of January, 1945.

Border Crossing
There was a couple from Texas who was planning a weekend trip across the Mexican border for a shopping spree. At the last minute, their babysitter canceled, so they had to bring along their two year old son with them. They had been across the border for an hour when the boy got free and ran around the corner. The mother tried to find him, but he was missing. The mother found a police officer who told her to go to the gate and wait. Not really understanding the instructions, she did as she was told. About 45 minutes later, a Mexican man approached the border, carrying the boy. The mother ran to him, grateful that he had been found. When the man realized it was the boy's mother, he dropped him and ran. The police were waiting for him. The boy was dead, and in the 45 minutes he was missing, he had been cut open, all of his organs removed, and stuffed with bags of cocaine. The man was going to carry him across the border as if he were asleep.

Statues
A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn't watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn't want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parent's room. Of course, the parents said it was Okay, but the babysitter had one final request... she asked if she could cover up the clown statue in the corner of the bedroom with a blanket or cloth because it freaked her out. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, "Take the children and get out of the house... we will call the police. We do not have a clown statue."

There are a few i stole from the bungie fourms.
I hate these "Urban Legends". They're just badly written amateur stories that someone said was true once yet have no grounds in reality at all.

In cold soviet winter, during great patriotic war, many comrades died for glorious motherland. In one hospital during war, doctor runs out of bandages but wounded brothers of the motherland are still bleeding. Shells hit hospital and lights go out. Doctor begins to bandage up comrade soldiers. Doctor singlehandedly treats and helps every soldier in hospital because soviet doctors know no other way to work
In the morning, the soldiers wake up and find wounds dressed with human skin. They find the doctor dead on a cot, with skin all peeled off. One of the comrades scream.
Doctor fell asleep on cot that should have been used by wounded comrades! Doctor’s death is punishment for his selfishness!
Such is life in Soviet Russia.
Edit:
Once I hear story about girl in Chaplygin. She was asleep in her bed, when she feel lick on her hand. She thinks it is dog and goes to sleep. Next morning, she finds note on dresser with dead head of dog. It says "Comrades can lick too." She screams.
Father comes upstairs, takes belt off and beats her. Moral of story is daughters should not yell in house like peasant. House is not Siberian pigsty. He worries daughter will never find good Russian husband.
There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached, and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on the single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning.
As he looked around the inside of the cabin, he was surprised to see the walls adorned by several portraits, all painted in incredibl detail. Without exception, they appeared to be staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred and malice. Staring back, he grew increasingly uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore the many hateful faces, he turned to face the wall, and exhausted, he fell into a restless sleep.
The next morning, the hunter awoke -- he turned, blinking in unexpected sunlight. Looking up, he discovered that the cabin had no portraits, only windows.
One night man go hunting. He get lost in forest and it get dark. He used to this. He walk east toward glorious Moscow but instead find hut. He sleep in hut and scream at paintings on wall. The painting scream back, he kill it with brass knuckle. He wake up, walk home. End of story, Goodnight!
Yeah, the best ones are believable little stories possibly with grounds in actual events, not just shitty horror stories some kid made up to scare their friends.
So.... they were Albinos? What's so scary about that?
The motherfucking eyes.
The eyes were of death itself! Or just a blood vessel popped somewhere. She was dead after all.
Uhh albinos usually DO have Red eyes. Nothing scary.
The point was that they were supposed to be dead and he'd been looking into her eyes/she'd been watching him.
This is very creepy
The last one is kinda cool.
A man was driving down a road at night when a girl appeared in the road, he span off and got outta the car looking for her when he saw two men on fire on either side of him, In front of him the little girl but as she got closer he saw she was horribly deformed and bloodly, he turned to run and saw a dog, with 6 heads. He screamed and passed out due to fear and woke up in the local chruch. He asked a monk about it all, the monk told him the story.
There was a man who had a beautiful little daughter, very spoiled though. They went to his fathers farm for a visit, now the man and his father didnt get along well due to the man parenting skill with his little girl. When they arrived the mans father told the little girl NOT to go looking around, that it wasn't safe. The little girl. being the little rebel she was, was searching the farm and saw the barn, remebering it was her birthday soon she thought her grandfather must of hid her presents there and told her it was dangerous so she wouldnt find her gifts.
She opened the barn, went in and didn't see presents but saw the farmers, angry, hungry dogs, 6 of them. They attacked the little girl and ripped her to shreds. The man went looking for his daughter and saw the barn was open and went in to see her body. Now he was pissed, his daughter was killed because of his father so he grabbed a gas caster thing and went back to his fathers home. He set fire to the house when he father ran out at him, on fire and attacked him. The man in fear and on fire grabbed a slegde hammer and struck his father on the head killing him. He ran down the farm road to the man road where he died.
The monk finished his story and the man said "But why did they come after me?"
The monk smiled and walked away slowly.

He was meant to cut the 6 heads off of the dog apparently.
I guess it's just me, but I have never been scared by a story or text :raise:
But if I watch a horror movie (even a bad one) I get scared shitless and can't sleep for days
I was even scared by "Scary Movie" for fucks sake!

That still doesn't make alot of sense.
