Never thought there'd be a southern thread.
I'm from a town called Grove Hill in southwest Alabama. Nearest 'major' city would be Mobile, 81 miles away.
[SUB]There's nothing to do here.[/SUB]
Back when I was real little, my dad took me deer hunting to a town outside Mobile. I forget the name but it was actually a nice little town. The guy who owned the property where we lodged was really nice.
I lived in Huntsville, Alabama for a short time in my life. My father was stationed at Redstone Arsenal, and I attended 1st - 3rd grade there. Have to say, the area/people there were very nice, I'd like to go visit again one day.
Going up to Kentucky for the weekend from down here in Atlanta, I hope I won't have to squeal like a piggy or duel banjos!
Harvest, Alabama Reporting in, wouldn't live anywhere else kind as fuck people and fields as far as the eye ca see.

California doesn't count cause it sucks.
From what's written on Wikipedia it says the trade they were doing was pretty minimal, and France didn't really take side at all.
I've never been to Montana but I'd like to. I've still got too much to see in Oregon.
I lived in Montana for a couple years, the city I lived in (Bozeman) pretty much sucked but the scenery was rad. You could see the mountains from anywhere in town, it almost seemed unreal how they towered over everything. Never got to see Oregon, but hopefully some day I will.
I'd really love to spend some time just exploring the country, there's so much out there to discover.
I'd really love to hike up to the Appalachians and camp for a few days.
haha I don't know, there's people out there who wish the south had won, so I figured wishing WV joined the Confederacy wasn't too much of a stretch
I'm so inbred, I am my own grandpa.
If your from the south and you haven't drank home made moonshine you aren't a man, nor a southerner.
Sorry.

North carolina's great, the weather is a bipolar bitch that will go from being 65 in mid december to 18 degrees a week later.
We also get cheap ass tobacco since we basically invented cancer, and everyone here can buy dip, chew, cigs' at the age of 14 without being questioned.
Bought my first case of beer at 15.

lived in oklahoma for 6 years.
had some super good times and it is kinda special to me. still talk to my friends from there.
without the emotional attachment, though, it's just a bunch of crop fields and tornadoes, don't recommend.

Grizzly mint will give me a headrush within a minute of having a pinch in, its unreal.
Wintergreen is almost as bad.
I prefer chew though, chew tastes good, because i like raisins. Peach chew is also delciious
It's 34 degrees outside here in McLean, and my heater is broken.
It's so cold.
I've never dipped a day in my life, so I guess I can't say I'm a -true- southern man. But I'd rather not have cancer or fucked up teeth

putting in the odd pinch every few weeks or so isn't gonna give you cancer nor fuck up your teeth.
Still think tobacco is nasty though.
Still think tobacco is nasty though.
Eh I do Dip every now and then its not as bad as you think, If you do it a lot aka 4-7 dips a day every day then it becomes nasty. These days you can get them in enclosed packets witch are less messy.
I've never dipped, due to watching my dad do it and seeing him lose pretty much all his teeth.
Can't smoke even if I wanted to, really, because of a lung issue.

Let me rephrase that. I don't want to smoke due to possibly dying faster from pulmonary fibrosis.
Since its inevitable:

I don't dip, but I smoke tobacco from a pipe occasionally.
I was driving through rural Missouri and saw a trailer home and a rusty trampoline in the backyard of a town hall. Gotta love the Southland.

Whole family is from the south, Virginia, Carolina's, Kentucky, etc. Dad still lives down there in Roanoke, Virginia. Sadly he decided it was a good idea to move up to New York for me... Stuck here till I can get a truck and some money so I can go down where I should be, with my kinfolk.
