Like I always say have enough willpower to not do dip everyday and it feels great every time i do it because I only do it once every few weeks.
West Virginian here. Love the scenery in the summer and spring, especially since I have a small woodsy area behind my house. But good god, come fall and winter, the place looks like a nuke went through it.
The only good things about Kentucky are the Red River Gorge and Mammoth Cave And maybe Natural Bridge, but I've never been there
hello fellow atlanta person
Hello, other fellow Atlanta person to you too. And why is Florida even a southern state? They are only because of where it is. It's about as yank as "Nou Yawk."

But north Florida, being close to Georgia and Alabama, is the same as Alabama and Georgia in culture.

I would love to move to the south someday.
Is it just me or does the old country music have more shine than the stuff being played nowadays. All you need to do to be a country artist today is sing about how country you are, your truck, god, and a bunch of other things.
I'm from Wisconsin, but I often visit relatives in Knoxville and in Jacksonville. Both places sound way better than all the snow that's here right now. In the springtime, though, it's just like the Appalachian foothills (just shorter). I've also been out by Outer Banks quite a bit. Any peeps from OBX?
Knoxville is the ~krazy~ weather center of the south. Today it was nice and sunny outside then in fucking 5 minutes it started raining like a monsoon.
north carolinian here. it's okay. very pretty, depending on where you are. can't really relate with many people here though, despite having grown up here.

Conyers, Georgia here. It has been very cold and rainy lately and I do not much care for it. I haven't embraced the true stereotypical South in a while, actually. I should go to a fair or something and eat a bunch of deep fried candy bars and chicken with biscuits until I'm sick of it. Some of my best memories during my childhood come from doing those exact sort of things.
Holy fuck, today the weather was pretty average, suddenly a fucking thunderstorm starts and knocks out the power. I can hear the rain hitting the roof. [editline]applejack is my waifu[/editline] Then it ended twenty minutes later and now it's fine :v:

Not sure if relevant to the Historical Pictures thread of the Southern/Southeastern thread, so I figured I'd post it in both. I'm a historical picture and map nut, so when I found these old maps of my city, Knoxville, I felt like I had to share. This thing is huge.

Back when 'gay' meant happy, yes.
Because I was sincerely trying to gain insight into the sexual preferences of 19th century Knoxville by looking at a street name, yes.
north florida what's up (I hate it here. Anyone else live in Northern Florida that ISN'T Jacksonville?)
Used to live in Lake city and Suwannee, it wern't so bad after you looked past all the dipshits that seem to thrive in that kind of environment.
