[QUOTE=poopsicle;24998423]Become a computer technician, that's what I'm becoming when I graduate from year 12.[/QUOTE] I was going to do that before I realised it would be boring as fuck.

[QUOTE=poopsicle;24998510]If you work for a shit fuck company then yes. I was already offered a job as a computer Technician at a video game center.[/QUOTE] Fixing ignorant peoples computers for a life just doesn't appeal. My dad did that for 4 years and said it was the biggest waste of time.
Hey did you know It's pretty much impossible not to get into a college Now it might not be a great college But it's still a college, and if you decide to go to grad school(this is how to be cool), how you did in undergrad is the only thing that matters. And as a whole, people with college degrees make more money than people without degrees. There are of course the examples everyone cites of those big computer start ups, but those are outliers.

Join the Navy, travel the world, go to College, be successful, enjoy life. [editline]09:53PM[/editline] Or the Air Force.. [editline]09:53PM[/editline] or, just live and see where life takes you.
You don't have to know what you want to do. Hell, my dad is 55 years old and he still doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up.
Go to college, you'll look back on that decision and thank yourself years down the road. Trust me.
Go to college for a better paying job. If you're going for the least effort for the most money, go university. You invest more but returns are greater.

It's better than shitty retail jobs, which are all I've been able to get thanks to the towns I've lived in having recessions on top of the normal one.
Stripper or Rent boy.
Do not drop out. Go to college. If you decide not to college still, DON'T FUCKING DROP OUT!
There's a lot of lonely men and woman out there. Whore yourself to them for only a small fee. Think of it as a community service.
air traffic controller will net you $50 an hour. [editline]08:21PM[/editline] wait nevermind, i don't want someone lazy like you directing air traffic.
You're 15 for god's sake, you should have higher aspirations. My dream job would be like a pro BMX rider, or more realistically, an action sports (i.e. BMX) photographer. Statistics say it won't happen, but it could if I work hard enough. I don't want to compromise, and I don't have to.
go to college ya big dumb idiot.
Stop being 15; grow up; become serial murderer.
If you're not going to go to college then you might as well get into the military and learn a skill and actually make something of yourself. Rather than be some highschool yuppy who's going to go to "trade" school why not go in looking sharp with experience under your belt? Not to mention you'll be a more likely choice when out looking for a job. Ex-military is always a good plus in that regard cause generally employers would love to hire them cause they are proven to be worthy and reliable individuals. There is a multitude of skills you can learn through military experience that can benefit you in the long run when looking for a job. It all depends on what you're interested in because you WILL be trained in your desired field. But then again, you're 15. You have all of highschool to go through and at this age you shouldn't be worried about your future. Plenty of time to grow up FIRST (which the military can help with if you haven't after highschool :v: )

Thanks to the recession there was a massive influx of new recruits which are a pain in the dick to train. [editline]12:44PM[/editline] But they're still funny.
If you don't think that college is the right idea for you OP don't do it. It costs a ton of money, and if you aren't going to learn something personally worth it to you to be paying off the massive student loans it will just give you a shit ton of debt and misery. If you aren't sure what trade you want to go into (there's still a need for tradespeople and always will be a need for tradespeople) try the military. There are some MOS (military occupation specialties) you can go into that are pretty lucrative on the open market. Surprisingly, a great number of them are in the Coast Guard. (Something I wish I'd known before I went Army.)
If he doesn't want to get a tertiary education, why should he? I plan to go to university to study astrophysics because I am deeply passionate about the subject. If he doesn't want to spend the next few years of his life in college, why should he? What will he do with a college education that he didn't want? I'm not suggesting you make this decision lightly. You're 15 and you'll probably change your mind at some point. I heavily advise you to think about this, but in the end it is your choice.
[QUOTE=Kel|oggs;24994990] I want a well paying job, but one that doesn't require College or University, I had Plumbing or Electrician in mind, [/QUOTE] I'm sorry, I can't read this with a straight face.
Get a job.
I'm confused, in the UK we go to college for free and we get paid to turn up and learn I get £30 a week, just for turning up and doing my courses.
