using something for a "boost" in mood, thinking, eating habits, or to cleanse your inhibitions has, since time began, a thing that humans do. some people get on through life just fine without smoking some weed, others just gotta have it, or their day sucks.
it just boils down to who uses anything, wether it be weed to feel good, or caffeine to wake up, really NEEDS to use it. Fact is, they don't. And I'd bet that if they discovered their own personal ways of achieving a relaxed state, without drinking something, or smoking something, then people would be better off, because they become more reliant on themselves, and not whats in the bag.
However, this is just my personal opinion, I am not stating this as fact.
I personally hopes it stays illegal.
I don't want to hear "Hey man I've smoked pot for the 28th this week!"
Hopefully those people will end up choking on the black kunk building up in their lungs.
Lol. Weed won't give you cancer look it up.

Control your eating habits next time;

Yes my memory is worse but it was bad to begin with and I'm not a good test subject as I do other things too.

After smoking for almost 2 years, my short-term memory was the most effected. Simple stuff I couldn't remember. I'd be thinking of something, then it'd dissapear as if someone just came and snatched it from me while I was thinking.
Then, there was also the long term memory. I forgot what life was like before I smoked weed. I forgot what my old friends were like. What I used to do. Stuff like that.
I just have an addictive personality though, I'm sure it effects everyone differently to some degree.
Now I've quit doing everything but drink (cuz drinking is still relaxing while playing video games), and my memory is doing much better. I can remember the total of the numbers I added up last week at work, if I need to. I learn how to do stuff like, new jobs, a lot faster with less frustration.

I've been smoking for >3 years and I honestly haven't experienced anything close to whats happened to you. I'm pretty sure you've never smoked weed and are basing everything on propaganda you read.
To be honest, tobacco only isn't illegal because it's old. If it had been discovered recently, it would be illegal. But seriously, all marijuana is is an illegal way of enjoying yourself. Although it is certainly not safe (paranoia etc.) you can argue that everything should be banned for the same reasons.
Simply put, nothing's truly safe, so why ban marijuana for the reason 'lul, is not saef!!11!1one!!'?
Also, the main reason illegal drugs cause death is because dealers add things like glass... If it was legal, it wouldn't have this problem... So effectively, the government are banning a drug because they banned the drug because they banned the drug etc...

Drugs affect everyone differently. Or he could have smoked excessively.
nothing is good for you if you take it too much
I had kind of a bad experience with weed, but for some reason I also want to try it again, do you think I should?
I tried it about 6 months ago after hearing my friends go on and on about how great it is. I got myself a pipe and smoked it in my room. For like 20 minutes I felt nothing. Then suddenly HOLY SHIT. I was completely gone. I couldn't see anything clearly, it was like my vision was lagging. I also had no perception of time, when I moved my hands, they appeared not to react until like 5 seconds later. This went on for a couple hours and kinda scared me shitless. I think I smoked wayy to much. I haven't tried it since.

Extended usage of marijuana does limit memory in many ways. If you smoke weed every day for a few months your short term memory is going to be shit. That's fact, and one of the small drawbacks to marijuana.

has it ever occurred to you, that maybe
just fucking maybe
people do it because they like it?
seriously, every single one of your ignorant fucking posts is "lol its pathetic, they only want to replace their lives"
this is fucking facetious and generalized to hell.
If you smoke weed every day you're doing it wrong anyway, IMO.

I guess you started big.
Just try it again, make a joint with a few friends, and have a few pulls, until you feel as though you've had enough, then stop.

Yes, that's what i've been getting.
Things aren't as easy to remember, but they may have started that way.
But I am cutting down, and only smoking during the school holidays.

If you did you wouldn't be spreading lies. Doppleganger.
Well you see slappy... I'm not.
Wow, your argument is so convincing.

Weed is older, by a long shot. Or at least it's been cultivated longer. Cannabis was among the very first plants to be cultivated by humans, if not the first. Fabric, food, and even royal and sacrificial offerings are only a few of the ways ancient man made use of the plant. The tobacco plant as we know it today hadn't even started growing in the Americas until 6000 BCE, whereas in China and other parts of the world, they were consuming the seeds of the cannabis plant as food and weaving it into fabric around 7000 - 8000 BCE.
Its history in the Americas runs rather deep as well, although not quite as deep as tobacco (although the settlers who arrived here brought with them their cannabis, and were certainly more familiar with cannabis than tobacco). In 1619, the Jamestown colony passed a law that required all farmers to grow hemp. Cannabis was the primary crop at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate, and at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello plantation. Marijuana in some form accounted for the majority of over the counter medicines sold before the days of drug prohibition in the United States. It was possible for anyone, even children, to walk into a drug store and buy cocaine, heroin, and if that wasn't enough, maybe some pot-based concoction. And there was no drug problem. There were overdoses, sure, and there always will be for the hard drugs (toxic things just tend to kill people, what can you do), but before we started prohibiting drugs, the drug problem didn't exist. People were aware of what things did to them and dealt with the consequences on an individual basis rather than trying to ban things and infringe on the rights of others to make their own decisions. And since the substances were licit, there was no criminal element, further making it a non-issue.
On a related note, you should be aware that the group of people pissed off most about the imminent legalization of marijuana in California isn't the ignorant conservatives and other anti-weed people; the people really being hurt by this are the foreign drug cartels who currently have complete control over importing world's biggest cash crop into America by way of Mexico.
Drugs aren't a problem. Prohibition does nothing but create a huge, complicated problem where there was none to start with.
You could say the same about ice cream as you could about marijuana. Marijuana has the ability to harm your lungs in large quantities and is considered "addictive" to some people with addictive personalities. Ice cream is hazardous to your health in large quantities as it can cause you to become overweight, it can also be "addictive" to some people. Sometimes when people are sad or depressed they eat a lot of ice cream to make themselves feel better, some people smoke weed for that reason as well.
By the governments logic, Ice Cream should be banned.

Good post. It's been a while since i've seen one of these in this thread.

All you are doing is showing everyone how quickly you jump to conclusions, and how ignorant you yourself are. Pot calling the kettle in this one. You should think before you speak or type up stuff, because it makes people who support smoking weed (which I do support people to do, it's their lives) look like complete jackasses.
And btw, you also stating that weed doesn't effect short or long term memory makes you look even more ignorant.
I smoked an ounce of "reggies" every 3-4 days for a couple years. It does shit to you when you smoke it like that.
But wait, I must be lieng, I must have never smoked weed before, and I wake up in the morning jerking off, reading anti-weed newspapers.
And btw, you also stating that weed doesn't effect short or long term memory makes you look even more ignorant.
uh
prove it
There is literally no reason that cannabis should be illegal.
uh
prove it
Lets all pretend like we are in kindergarden. Seriously.
uh
prove it
You sir, are an idiot. If you'd ever smoked weed you'd know that it affects memory. It's common fucking knowledge. That's like asking to prove that bread is made out of wheat. Weed is a great plant and we all love it, but don't spread false information because it makes us intelligent weed smokers look like jackasses.
Prove to me that it doesn't. Oh, you can't.
