Pretty much. Resident Evil 7's horror felt way too safe and sterile, like it was ticking off every mass appeal horror box it could. The molded are too predictable, and it lacks the feeling of vulnerability through sound design and enemy placement that the prior games had.
if there were more enemies than the molded most of these problems would go away. like the one in the demo was pretty scary but they just don't work when they're replacing everything, especially since there's only actually one molded model for each type
I feel like re7 is a TFA kinda dive back into the classic formula. They played it safe with 7 to make sure the actual fundamental FPS was recieved well and with later installments theyll (hopefully) iterate on it.
im just talking outta my ass here but it makes sense to me
I remembered this a few days ago, was wondering when something would come out.
Looks good I guess? I don't know how to feel about it.
The paid expansion pack is coming out the same day as this free DLC by the way, and I take it that it gets set up in "Not a Hero" because they haven't shown any of it
It's a visual retcon, they said that his RE5 look was a little too much for the "realism" they were trying to go for in RE7.
Oh, well I can just say that he was doing the full range of motion in his workouts instead of doing bodybuilding techniques to look huge
If Leon comes back I hope he's a smart mouth like he was in re4
Its so weird to think this came out earlier this year. So much good shit came out in the first half of 2017.

There's a pretty big amount of stuff coming out from Oct-Dec as well actually, specifically towards the end of Oct and throughout November
