Uh shit, I have no idea why they don't question us on what we're calling them.
I've used everything from hun, hunni, baby, babe, muffin, goose, cutie, sweetie, sweetheart, cupcake, sweetcheeks, beautiful, and sexy for pet names. Just really depends on the timing of what you're saying and talking about.
Goose? You call your girlfriend goose?
Call my girlfriend baby just because it feels right and chicks actually dig it.
I use "Baby," "Kitten," "Babe," etc when in a relationship. I'm note entirely sure why either, it's just a term of affection.
baby hippos are cute too but NEVER call a girlfriend that
seriously don't
Kitten?
Aye, kitten.
And my last girlfriend kept calling me 'pup' because I kept calling her kitten, it was weird.

Wait what the christ a baby hippo is called a calf.
Baby whale
Baby whale
Also a calf, I think
I mean, I hope you're not saying your girlfriend's a whale, she ought to work out more.

If my gf was a whale, I could only be on top, otherwise I'd suffocate. Being skinny sucks sometimes.
We all know Baby is a new born child. But I was also wondering, why people call ,for example, hot girls "Baby"?
Like in porn movies:""Oh yeah baby, come on..."
or in eurovision song:"Stay forever and ever and you will always be my baby"
or even Justin Bieber's Baby.
I find it weird for people to call adults Baby.
Or am I missing a part of English language?
I think it's babe, Not baby.
I've asked myself this few years ago, But i didn't really find any good reason and decided to not question it again since you have to have something to say to girls.
Its just a term of affection. Babies as stated before me are: cute, innocent, soft, and adorable.
Adults like to pretend they're having sex with children.
Only answer!

Rick Ross has never had a girlfriend.
Daym you are one ugly baby, babe
I think it's because it sounds similar to "Babe".
Some persons pronounce it like "Babeh" (Which sounds a bit like "Baby"), some moron confused that with "Baby", started to use it a lot, a lot of people followed the trend and there you go

I have it!
Elvis.
Elvis fucking presley.
Baybuh.
Personally I'd just call her darling or something like that. I admit saying "baby" sounds odd.
Tell me how that goes.
Tell me how that goes.
Swimmingly, if you have a posh british accent.
;29850815']Its just a term of affection. Babies as stated before me are: cute, innocent, soft, and adorable.
But it's still considered normal to use the name during sex, like OP said. How many times have you heard, "Ohh, baby! I'm gonna cum!" And that isn't really innocent or adorable.
Goose? You call your girlfriend goose?
Yep, she thinks it's cute.
I think it's weird when people call each other "boo"

Also I think it's kinda weird that you call the person who you are having sex with "baby" like they're a small child.
But it's still just a pet name, it doesn't have any real meaning.
I feel like saying "Baby" is awkward, I usually say babe instead
I call my boyfriend Potato, and he calls me Radish.
I dunno why.
When you say "ohhh ohhh come onn baby" It is encouraging your baby to leave the vagina
My girlfriend and I use this as an endearing term for one another.
My girlfriend and I use this as an endearing term for one another.
Ok thanks we thought you used it as an insult.
I call my girl babe, or angelface.
She hates angelface, but I do it anyways to piss her off :v:
At a guess, a baby is a small, innocent, cute (to some) thing. I guess it used to be an endearing and friendly pet term that was distorted and generalised. I don't really have an english degree or whatever so that might not be the case.
I beg to differ.
I always used to think using "baby" as an affectionate term was weird but at some point it just kind of flowed in as a reassuring name and now it's everyday use
You'll figure it out once you actually get in a relationship
baby sounds douchbaggy babe sounds sarcastic don't use either one
