Derren Brown predicts the lottery draw live tonight

So Derren Brown didn't have anything to do with it.
Just his predictors.
How the hell can he feed such BS to people? Averaging the guesses of 24 people?! How would that be able to work out which plastic ball will be at the bottom of the machine at a certain time?
I used to enjoy Derren Brown's stuff, but now I know it's all fake.
I want to explain what I've worked out, but it might spoil the show.
I'm sure there are others out there who have done the same

and the only one that seemed legit was proven to be fake :/

Go watch an evening of Magic or Trick of the Mind.
I'll admit the Heist was awful

Fuck that shit, go watch the Gathering or Something Wicked this way Comes.
The Gathering was pretty good, but it was VERY obvious ow he did a lot of the tricks in it.

Yeah, but they're still a lot of fun to watch and really impressive tricks.
It sure beats the coin tossing bullshit of last night :rolleye:
I guess it will remain a mystery as to how it was done.
so, he got 24 people to do automatic writing (i.e guessing), then found the average of all there numbers and that somehow gave Derren the winning lottery numbers... riiight.
I cant quite get my head around how that worked with ALL the numbers but i know Derren Brown isn't cheap enough to do a split screen or some shit.

Who really fell for that? They could add the last billion lottery numbers, the number picked is still random. And yeah the show was pointless.
EITHER he did it as an experiment on the public to see their reaction or he really stooped to camera trickery for some bizzare reason rather than using his genuine skill. Either way his worst show yet.
Even if it was a trick, frankly him being able to fool so many people and gain so much publicity is in itself a huge accomplishment on his part.

That is just someone's guess, Also all the pictures off the balls before they were misaligned are so crap quality it is impossible to tell what is what. I think it is much more likely to be a combination of the two tricks. He rigs the numbers but also uses subliminal messages to get his group to choose the numbers he wants.
If he rigged the lottery he'd be in court right now.

And how would they work out if he had rigged it?
Not saying he did it btw.

Lol you actually think he rigged the numbers
I think he's a brilliant showman and has generated fantastic interest in the lottery as well as in himself. I'm pretty convinced it was split screen, however this is no different to the ancient magician's methods of using stage lighting effects, specially painted backcloths etc and I don't see why anyone would call this "cheating" or "stooping so low". Of COURSE he's cheating - he's an illusionist.

Exactly.

Whoever was changing the balls is probably fired or in a ditch by now.

True, but at the very beginning of the show, he mentioned that Channel 4 had forbidden him from buying a ticket, if that helps.

Watching some of his older stuff right now, amazing so it is.
If people are still wondering about the snowflake, I think it has something to do with no two snowflakes are the same or something...they're random, like the lottery draw.
I like him, but his trick was 'The BBC have the legal right to show the winning lottery balls first, so I can only show you after they've been drawn' I believe someone said this earlier.
He wasn't showing the winning balls, he was showing his prediction.
He did nothing. He saw the winning balls, then turned his stand around. That isnt predicting the lottery.
Go to his website, the clues in the advert are: Red&Black, stucktomysofa.com, the girls balloon, it will be you and obviously, the numbers on the lampost. Manchester United means nothing.

What.
There's nothing that special about predicting the lottery anyway. I mean, at least one person does it most weeks.

Is rigging it less believable than a group of people been psychic and predicting the numbers?
