The film was only making you stuck because of the things Derren said before it. He tried to put you in a state of really believing that his film could make you stuck. So that ALL you think about while the film is shown is how it actually makes you stuck. Remember, he showed you footage of people who already watched it. He showed you different kinds of methods of controlling someone without them knowing(so that anything could have been shown in the end). The things he said and showed about mind control did not have to be true. He just needed you to emerge in the believe and loss of control. I think it's a wheel or a clock under the newspaper. That's why all the camera shots have circles in the image, subliminal. So FP logo could work. And incase you are wondering the chair thing worked one me. Not very strong but it was like I couldn't be assed to get up. My friends couldn't stop laughing. They really wanted to try it but they just couldn't help themselves. Also everybody I asked was shit scared before it started. The lines did nothing, as he said it was suggestion. He suggested we couldn't do it and if you really try hard to believe him it works. A slight bit of scepticism wouldn't help. It didn't work the second time but shit it was a really wierd feeling. It's like I really needed to watch the TV. Fuck him

I'm a bit late, but it worked on my and my boyfriend. As soon as the show started, I couldn't physically leave the room, which I found slightly odd, as no one else seemed to have this. I could get up and walk around, but not actually leave. The film started, and I did feel hypnotized. I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but were the lines extending to around the edge of the tv? I mean it looks like the lines were off the screen too? I couldn't move at all throughout the little speech he gave after, nor could my boyfriend, I also couldn't speak. Just after the speech, my boyfriend pretty much rolled himself off the sofa, and I just couldn't get up. I actually really hurt my wrist by putting so much pressure on it. I almost started crying (pathetic I know) but it just felt so odd! My boyfriend lifted me off my seat, and my feet were totally stuck. He actually put me over his shoulder, and my feet were still in standing position. When he put me down, it took about five minutes for me to come totally unstuck. Edit: Also, you know the messages they were showing on how to cope if you were stuck? Did you notice how they were bright and moving, like the film?
