Political youtube is getting more and more cancerous every month
The right-wing or so-called "alt right" absolutely fucking despise Sargon. They hate him because he is a self-professed liberal and is in favor of things like universal healthcare and increased taxes on the wealthy. I don't think he's dishonest either, I think he's just making content that is reflective of the current political climate. He has said time and time again that he would love to make Trump-bashing videos but he finds the leftist ideologies and political correctness to be more entertaining to criticize.
The actual Nazi alt-right hate him because he's a Quadroon. And he tweets interracial gay porn at them.

He's not a liberal, he's right wing in all but name.

You can be a liberal and still criticize leftism, as well as support Trump (which he really doesn't, he just disliked Hillary more and would have only voted for Trump reluctantly if he could) in certain ways.
I don't see how those opinions make him right wing. The week before the election he said "I don't know if I support Donald Trump" then spent over an hour explaining why people should vote for Trump and why the bad things he says are actually good. He also made a couple of other videos that seem really supportive. Then there is the fact that since the election he has generally made either outright pro-Trump content or anti-left content that paints people who oppose Trump as SJW wackos. He isn't a cheerleader on the level of say, Crowder, Milo, or PJW but you would have had to stopped watching his channel for a good 18 months to believe he "doesn't support" Trump and would have only "reluctantly" voted him over Clinton.

I said "in certain ways" for a reason. I think the world is too complex for someone to be deemed a certain political leaning because they just so happen to agree with certain things Trump says while simultaneously disagreeing with him, as well as identifying with other conventionally liberal traits. It is entirely possible to do this and it doesn't make you a hypocrite. It is entirely possible to do this and it doesn't make you a hypocrite.
There is certainly a margin between liking Trump and still being liberal, but it's a narrow one. And it becomes a whole lot narrower when you start agreeing with basically everything Trump does and opposing basically everything the left does. Also for the record, I don't really care about Sargons politics. I listen to people far to the right of him on a regular basis. He just isn't a liberal and generally doesn't seem to support left-wing causes until he is absolutely pressed into throwing out some token ones like healthcare and workers rights (but even then routinely backs politicians who want to dump on both of those because "the establishment").
I linked this in my first post. Also, Bonus Round! When Sargon calls himself a Classical Liberal, maybe he means 19th century Democrat :v:
Knowing that there is a statistical trend of black people having a low IQ and saying that shouldn't be a front to be a racist and go after black people somehow makes him akin to a 19th century Democrat? I don't think that's very accurate.
At 5:42 he calls Trump a buffoon and an annoying jock.
This is basic campaign rhetoric that was repeated from numerous people on the right who supported Trump as well. They compare him to the worst hyperboles made about him (Hitler, Satan), says he isn't, then just says he is boarish. When the reality is that he is neither Hitler nor just boarish or an annoying jock. He is someone who has an awesome responsibility as President of the United States and Sargon shilled for him during the entire campaign and made the argument that Americans voting for him a moral necessity. Naked Ape made a similar "point" in a video he did where he criticized Trump as a "clinical narcissist" but still admitted that he was a huge supporter of the man. You can't compare some throwaway criticisms about aspects of Trump that don't even matter (or aspects that you go out of your way to defend in the same interview) to several months worth of uploading videos proselytizing to your subscriber base. This desire to somehow legitimize him as the "logical voice of the left" is based on plainly false pretenses. That's why he frequently gets pissed off about what he reads in the news, why he tries to make people believe all sorts of scary conspiracy theories with little to no evidence, why he snaps at people he doesn't want to deal with, and why he expects you to believe everything he tells you no matter how wrong it sounds. Because it's "entertaining."
sargon isn't even slightly left

Sargon is my second favorite right wing comedian, behind Crowder of course. [editline]12th March 2017[/editline]
sargon isn't even slightly left
The only times I see him appear even vaguely liberal is when the partisan divide is absolutely pressed upon him. If you picked at random 10 videos uploaded in the past 60 days there is no way you could interpret him as a liberal in the modern sense. The main point here is that Sargon is frequently full of shit and arguing about whether he is a lefty or a righty is a red herring unless you are trying to somehow legitimize him by making the point that "he really is a liberal guys, just a ~classical liberal~" which is another name for [sp]neoliberal lmao[/sp]
Putting Jontron up there with fucking Breitbart? On what planet do you live on?
The one where Jontron openly shares alt right/breibart type views.
Jesus, this is just heart breaking.
I really gave him the benefit of the doubt too... Hmm. Wow.
I think it's a growing trend for alt-rightists to paint themselves as "centrists" or "classical liberals" in an attempt to make their views more appealing to the left. Fortunately only idiots are fooled by this and Trump is already popular with that demographic.
The one where Jontron openly shares alt right/breibart type views.
Wow, and I was defending him in that other thread. How disappointing.

I mean I'm sure Jon is a nice guy IRL but, to honestly see him absorbed with such uneducated views, it's really depressing.
Sargon's a fucking snake but I don't think he's a right winger in disguise. Rather, I think he's afraid of SJWs. Like, really afraid of them. To the extent where he's willing to go against his own principles to get rid of them. And instead of taking a step back and realizing that no good comes out of being so fearful he makes up more reasons to be afraid of them. A lot of anti-SJWs have been doing this, both to themselves and to eachother after creating what is essentially a gigantic fear circlejerk. Sargon's especially bad in this sense, as he literally asks his fans to feed him articles about the evils of social justice for his "This Week in Stupid" show, which he's been doing since 2014.
He's socially right wing and economically left wing. He adores bernie's economic policies and screeches at his exclusively social policies. He's the epitome of the Bernie or Bust movement where they supported Bernie in the primaries for his economic care for the middle class, but switched to Trump because of his anti-social policies. Essentially he's a selfish brat that votes exclusively for himself and not for the betterment of everyone. It's exactly what happens when you put the brain of a hardliner conservative into a the head of a middle class man.

I don't think Jon said anything bad, he choose to defend someone who probably doesn't deserve it though and he could have worded his points better. Many of them are valid but doesn't look good out of context.

Many of them are valid but doesn't look good out of context.
Only point that I can defend is "colonization was a net gain" because it was [sp]for the colonizers[/sp].
Jon also strikes me as someone who's afraid of SJWs, although he doesn't seem to care about whether or not other people are afraid of them, which is good. I still worry about him because he's now immersed himself in that fear circlejerk that I mentioned before and while it may not bring much harm to his viewerbase, it's not going to do anything good for him.
The one where Jontron openly shares alt right/breibart type views. I hope.
Only point that I can defend is "colonization was a net gain" because it was [sp]for the colonizers[/sp].
Defending colonialism is pretty difficult to do since only the bad parts are remembered, not so much any good parts that happened despite of the bad. Him highlighting the double standard on multiculturalism internationally is valid though.
The only solace I can take from this is that he is (probably) not a white supremacist and instead just woefully ignorant. I hope.
It doesn't help that people will just, and already do, slap ridiculous labels like "nazi" onto him, further pushing him into that side of the spectrum rather than treating others like people and explaining things. Social media brings out the true inner monster in people by making us pursue zingers and "gotchas!" for a vague sense of fulfillment rather than treat others like human beings and explain our views or question why others see things one way that may be influenced by misinformation or ignorance.
