It's funny how this thread will just turn out like every pony/brony related post/thread ever. X insults Y, Y insults X, A, B, C, D join in and insult eachother. This continues until the thread is locked. I don't see why you guys bother in making these type of threads when all they do is escalate into nothing but insulting eachother.
I gave this show a chance recently; I watched 8 episodes so i could make sure i didn't make preemptive decision. Now by no stretch of the imagination is the show intrinsically BAD. In my opinion, it just isn't very good. It has come out in this modern era of cartoons and has an impressive budget, so the animation is fairly good quality, and so are the VA's. The problem is, as is with most children's shows, the fact that because they cannot comprehend a deep and meaningful story line, a real sense of danger, etc, and because of this it is almost impossible for there to actually be a strong story line, as well as plot evolution.
For instance, if you look at the first two episodes, they tie in together- the first two have a good strong story, and it actually finalizes pretty well (though extremely cheesily). They solve their problems with friendship, and ok, whatever, that's a good kids plot point, I guess. The problem with that is the fact that the villain which changed sides (I think) never appeared again. ever. And then every single episode after the first two you can predict how it is going to end within the first few moments. And almost any problem that they may encounter at ANY given time is solved one way or another via friendship.
I can understand why you could enjoy the show- it's like trash tv, popcorn entertainment. But in the end it IS still a kids show. And that's why I don't like the show.

No not really. Idiotic and poorly thought out posts (such as yours) are the reason that most people hate this fandom and the people inside it. Anyone says anything bad about the show, and you get up in arms about it. You quote the show randomly and play the victim.
People like you are the reason that so many fandoms are looked down upon by entire communities, and why people are constantly pre-judged.

I do believe that the fandom is made for sympathizing eachother. those who are fresh to the materia feel weird for watching the show, clopping, et cetera. now the person who is fresh discovers that there are lots of people who are behind the same guilty pleasure. so what does the person do?

Bleh, I watched the video and Howard Stern is a giant dick, I understand the whole "man they so loser wow!" but even when the guy was like "i've been suffering from severe depression" and basically says that MLP is another thing he tries to get into to enjoy and take his mind off his depression...he laughs at him...that's truly what, I believe, a lot of bronies to be, lonely depressed nerds who want to keep their mind off their depression and loneliness.
