But most of us understand that their point of views are not par to our point of views, that is why there are these conventions where people with similar points of views go to express it.
Then there are others who disagree with their point of view and decided to express their opinions to it.
I wouldnt take the autistic insult seriously.

Actually furries are hated on because they have a generally terrible community in most places (although some places are nice)
Should be noted that a NASA employee was interviewed by the Associated Press at Bronycon. And this wasn't just an ordinary fan, she was in full fucking cosplay. And was actually attractive.
As well, over 60 active military brownies showed up at the convention. I guess Howard Stern's people just forgot about them.

Such a thing isn't even that outlandish. I fucking love Jurassic Park (3rd less so), so if there was a Jurassiccon where you could meet Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum and buy sick posters and merch, and it wasn't ridiculously expensive to travel to, I'd fucking go.
