I thought Rey was going to be the one to become a jedi. I'd rather see a female jedi lead tbh.
Doesn't have to be just one.
Oh my fuck, when Rey is crying she's leaning over Finn's jacket/body.
Oh my fuck, when Rey is crying she's leaning over Finn's jacket/body.
Or [sp]Han's[/sp].
[t]http://i.imgur.com/onR7htE.png[/t] mfw kylo ren looks exactly like hayden christensen in this frame
Cool, thought I was the only one who thought that, weird isn't it? I looked at Kylo Ren's wiki page and this is what it said [sp]Ren was obsessed with the fallen Sith Lord Darth Vader, a powerful figure of the First Galactic Empire, and is believed to have modeled his appearance and behavior after him.[/sp]Appearance so?
That was good. Really good. I had chills the whole way through. As for why the Empire's back and the Rebels didn't seem to get a foothold, think about it for a second. The Empire owns most of the galaxy during the original trilogy. A few bloody uprisings, the destruction of a few space stations (which, if certain canon is to be believed, were very small fractions of the Empire's total firepower), and the death of the Emperor and his assistant probably weren't large enough events to completely topple the governing organization of the entire galaxy. There were a handful of planets that we know were fully liberated, the rebels probably established a sizable government in the new canon timeline. But there was still a significant portion of the galaxy controlled by an autonomous Imperial remnant. I'd imagine that, outside of the core worlds, the Rebel victory was probably completely unknown in Imperial territory. You can't root that sort of systematic control out with a few insurrections, and if the Rebels didn't have any sort of long-term plan, it's entirely possible that the Empire just sort of reformed outside New Republic space. The EU dealt with this fairly often. There were some books and graphic novels that looked at life on planets outside New Republic control, and you had the same sorts of Imperial establishment figures in place that you see in the OT. Also, in the EU, the New Republic only lasts for 20 years before the next major war, and then trails off at this point. I guess we can assume by this point that those concerns did not pass by the writing room unnoticed.
[Sp]Except New Republic is still present in the galaxy and The First Order is still trying to establish itself in Outer Rim during TFA. Empire lost and went into hiding for decades. Resistance is created by Leia because Republic senators are useless fucks, just like in the prequel era[/sp]
This is actually pretty interesting. [sp]It seems like somehow the entire idea of Jedi and the Force were somehow considered to be legend even though Luke proved to a large population that the Jedi + force are real only ~50 years before episode 7[/sp]
People forget about the Jedi pretty quickly in the Star Wars universe. Remember when the Jedi were an interstellar organization with enough money and power to buy massive cathedrals, starships, and were able to recruit a huge inter-species army from across the galaxy? Well like 20 years later in A New Hope and people in the movie act like they're talking about the old testament or something.
Maybe I should watch all episodes before going to this one.
i am so incredibly happy right now
That Immobilizer 418 in the rebels trailer tho
And as usual with Star Wars Trailers. A lot of people reacted to the video.
JJ Abram's Star Trek sequel is pretty weird.
Yeah, it's like he might as well just call it Star Wars at this point since it's obvious he wanted to make that instead.
Dat lens flare at 0:49
Keep looking and it's all over the place in the trailer :(
Cool, thought I was the only one who thought that, weird isn't it? I haven't really paid much attention to the actors coming back (outside luke/leia/chewy/han solo) Because that hair really reminded me of him as well.
Guys.
$10 the actors from 'The Raid' are playing these baddies.
I still think everything looks too clean and polished and new. But it still looks like it'll spank the shit out of those awful prequels [editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
Look at the blaster, the helmet shape and the cloak. The scope on the blaster on his back and the half cloak give it away. Guy on the opposite has a completely different helmet. We know bobas jetpack and helmet got fucked up, so no jetpack or antenna makes sense. You can almost see the T visor.
I watched it frame by frame, it isn't Boba Fett. That weapon, whatever it is on his back, Isn't an EE-3. It's definitely a much larger weapon, and like the weapon he's holding, has red lights all over it, he also has the same clothy pauldrons as the guy opposite to him, rather than Mandalorian armor But don't rule it out completely, Boba's currently alive in Star Wars canon
He's wearing the exact same gear the guy on his immediate opposite is.
Actually the guy on the right has some kind of flip down visor it would seem where as left man doesn't.
Maybe I should watch all episodes before going to this one.
Have you not seen them? Holy shit dude. Some of the best Sci Fi ever put to film. The prequels are very questionable but Episodes 4, 5 and 6 are great [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] What if Ren is actually the clone of Anakin Skywalker, and at the end he faces off with Luke, and he's locked sabers with Luke and says from behind his mask. I never told you who I was, did I? Unmasks himself and tells Luke "I. Am my father." [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] Also, this guy is probably Boba Fett He has the Jetpack. As well as a modern JJ Abrams take of an EE-3

The Jetpack has me sold. It has the little jet on the side that sticks out at the bottom

Kylo Ren is Luke's son. It would be a fun contrast to the first movie where the hero was the son of the main villain. In this case the main villain would be the son of the main hero. I'm calling it now.
Has anyone boosted the brightness/contrast of the Ren's Knights/Boba theory? I'd if the T visor is there, which I doubt, it'd show up. [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] Well. It looks like a mando helmet
Well. It looks like a mando helmet
Did you up the contrast yourself or did you find it somewhere? If you found it something tells me that's a shop. Why is the visor the only detail visible and there's nothing on the armour? [editline]a[/editline] Yep that shit's shopped as fuck. On no frame is the helmet that clearly visible. [thumb]http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr132/Jimesu_Evil/notfett.jpg~original[/thumb]
