Whoa, Finn is wielding Anikan's/Luke's Blue lightsaber at the end.
what im hoping for nonstop is to have a current gen fucking rogue squadron game, ffs it was a perfect series (bar the foot segments in 3).
what im hoping for nonstop is to have a current gen fucking rogue squadron game, ffs it was a perfect series (bar the foot segments in 3).
The Fighter Squadron mode in Battlefront has a lot of that feel without the campaign.
No way. Kylo Ren is most likely the son of Leia and Han. Which still makes him part of the Skywalker line. The popular fan theory: (theory based on what the talking action figures say and linking other theories) Kylo and Rey were the children of Han and Leia. Kylo was kidnapped by the Knights of Ren who worship Vader (and therefore his grandkids). Fearing they'd come for Rey too, The Solos hid her out on Jakku until they could stop them. Han kept an eye on her from a distance. When the First Order comes after Rey in Force Awakens Han rescues her and decides it's time to stop fucking about and go find Luke to actually do something. Kylo is raised by the Knights of Ren to feel he is the reincarnation of Vader (hence the mask and voice trickery). He blames Luke, Han and Leia for killing a hero. Finn's real name is FN-2187, he was born and raised to be a First Order soldier, Finn is a name affectionately given to him by Rey.
Where does Poe Dameron fit into this? All the theories seem to ignore Poe for some reason.
Finn's real name is FN-2187
I don't think that part is a theory, the audio of him saying that is from one of the toys IIRC.
i thought stormtroopers were conscripted or volunteer forces? Does the New Order use brainwashing, or kidnapping children, like the Unsullied from a Song of Ice and Fire?
i thought stormtroopers were conscripted or volunteer forces? Does the New Order use brainwashing, or kidnapping children, like the Unsullied from a Song of Ice and Fire?
Well if the First Order is short on volunteers I wouldn't be surprised.
i thought stormtroopers were conscripted or volunteer forces? but if Finn is the name given to him by Rey, why doesn't he have a real name?
RedLetterMedia also joins in the reaction train.
i thought stormtroopers were conscripted or volunteer forces? Does the New Order use brainwashing, or kidnapping children, like the Unsullied from a Song of Ice and Fire?
Rebels shows there is an academy for the Empire but I dunno about the FO.
Where does Poe Dameron fit into this? All the theories seem to ignore Poe for some reason.
He's pretty much Wedge Antilles with more screen time for this movie. It's probably going to change in Episode VIII.
Where does Poe Dameron fit into this? All the theories seem to ignore Poe for some reason.
Few weeks/months back I read a supposed leak but it was a mess with huge gaps. Poe is introduced MAJOR SPOILERS FOR EPVII NOT 100% CONFIRMED BUT SOME THINGS ADD UP [sp]Finn is in a shock after some messed up/cruel First Order operation which makes him want to leave FO, Poe at the time is captured on the same ship because he's with the Resistance. Finn helps him escape so he can join them. I think Poe's interrogation by Kylo Ren helps Finn decide also.[/sp]
I've made a huge mistake [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/emjaij.webm[/vid]
Something about the Sith's suit and head makes it seem like some angry Spaceballs actor going nuts with a light-broadsaber
I'm just really hoping to see Iko Uwais and the two other guys from The Raid 1 & 2 kicking ass and taking names. They manage some of the most insane martial arts choreography that I have ever seen.
Imagine Finn not having having the force and defends himself in a lightsaber battle and lives to tell about it. But I'm totally fine with two force sensitive people as leads.
this is everything i've ever wanted. legitimately teared up.
I actually like the idea that Luke turns to the dark side for a while, it actually happened in the now defunct canon books and Leia turned him back, i actually like that alot. [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] Here's hoping after 8 and 9 they make a Kotor Movie, it would be so good!
People forget about the Jedi pretty quickly in the Star Wars universe. Remember when the Jedi were an interstellar organization with enough money and power to buy massive cathedrals, starships, and were able to recruit a huge inter-species army from across the galaxy? Well like 20 years later in A New Hope and people in the movie act like they're talking about the old testament or something.
They jedi wasnt like this massive organization people think it was. There was like 10k of them in the prequels, in the grand scheme of things in a galaxy, thats fuck all. They also weren't exactly taken super seriously by everyone. They were just kind of a thing, but because they were so integral to the movies, people think they were so integral to the actual universe of starwars like they were this gigantic group with a bunch of control and importance. Also people have been under an empire rule, jediless the second the 3rd movie ends all the way until Luke essentially. By the time they get to Luke, both Palpatine and the Empire actually followed through with the promise to the Senate of keeping peace(may not have gone about it the best way obviously, which made people mad, hence becoming rebels.) Something the Jedi were never able to do even though they were the peace bringers. Also most likely decades of getting rid of all things Jedi or anything that shows existence of them.

Assuming it's true, of course.

I can't fucking wait. I haven't felt this type of hype in a looong time. What the fuck is it with star wars and bringing everyone together anyways? It's the best cultural phenomena ever created!
So my local AMC is showing all the movies the day before VII comes out, in order. Should I grab tickets and sit through Episode II, or just watch the Despecialized Original Trilogy at home? Zing for OT and Gaybows for the showing
thats a badass trailer but am i the only one who was a little put off by the villain's voice? it sounds low pitched or something.
I was actually kinda hoping that he would have the voice of the narrator from the very first teaser.

I am just completely underwhelmed by the entire thing. It's just a pandering product of a raped franchise for the bazinga army. I especially disliked the reuse of the original 1977 themes. This movie looks too stuck in the past. It would have been great to feel the chill of hearing a brand new overarching compositional theme for the new episode, or hell even the new trilogy.
I don't like the new stormtroopers
