oh god this is so you also stizzles how come you have no "wecamewithbrokenteeth" scrobbles they are the ultimate band you'd love their cybergrind inventory
i've listened to them for years so i should have some scrobbles??? this song is fucking godlike: also, Fucking Werewolf Asso uploaded their new album on bandcamp, it's pretty awesome so far. they have guitars in their songs now and less keyboards, which is unusual for them but it works i think http://fwamusic.bandcamp.com/album/why-do-you-love-me-satan [editline]3rd February 2015[/editline] yeah i have 557 scrobbles of wcwbt lol
Everything about this song is just right for me, no idea why, but holy shit do i love it.
Is this a good thread for me to geek out over a new song? Because ever since Strangers to Ourselves got announced and Modest Mouse started releasing these singles on a semi-regular basis, I've been freaking out with excitement. They just released the third single from the album. There was Lampshades on Fire, Coyotes, and now this new one - The Best Room. I can immediately tell it's not something for everyone, but die hard Modest Mouse fans like me will love it. I can already tell this is going to be an incredible album and I can't wait for it to come out.
speaking of which, new title fight album tomorrow
I was super into the pop punk scene last year and this new title fight sounds pretty interesting also that new modest mouse song is amazing i didnt even know about the new album!
I was super into the pop punk scene last year and this new title fight sounds pretty interesting also that new modest mouse song is amazing i didnt even know about the new album!
I'm the kind of fan that religiously checks twitter, facebook, and websites almost daily just to see if there's a new announcement. Also check out the other two singles. I had Lampshades on Fire on repeat for probably half the day when it came out. It's so good.
Different than their older stuff but this song has been stuck in my head for days. I doubt they'll release another transatlanticism or plans but I'm sure it will be just as memorable. so excited for the new album !!
i dont think ive bought a physical album since 2012, when i ordered Igorrr's Hallelujah along with the double rerelease of his two previous albums mostly because i've ran out of storage space, partly because i dont care as much as i used to :/
ive never really been into buying music tbh since I would end up just putting it on my hard drive anyway so like what's the point, but saying this I buy dvd's pretty religiously.. I'll buy a film if it's rare or from someone i like etc. So I get why ppl would buy physical music (and theres the whole "vinyl sounds better" thing that i cant comment on cos I dont have a record player). Not for me tho. Feels impractical.
Too expensive for me, I'd rather spend it on books to be totally honest.
I've become minorly majorly addicted to the vocal music from the Silent Hill series and I'm wondering if there's any bands with a similar sound. Because if Akira Yamaoka and co started a band in the same vein I'd buy their album in a flash.
Nada on this?
Goddamn I think I may have cracked a rib high up on my chest, it hurts to breathe right now and earlier at soccer training I couldn't get through 5 pushups without my right arm failing from the pain.

Sounds v hipsterish but I really like cassettes for a combination of nostalgia and the general feel of them.

Sounds v hipsterish but I really like cassettes for a combination of nostalgia and the general feel of them.
The only reason I think people like Vinyl is because it doesn't feel cheap. Casettes have an aspect of nostalgia - jewel case CDs are just boring and crappy and nobody wants them. Vinyl is somewhat fancy, it has great packaging, it's vintage and nostalgic and carries value. CDs are just junky in comparison. I'm fucking loving these Modest Mouse tracks, though. I'm just gonna dive into their older albums for the fiftieth time because they have such an amazingly timeless sound. It's hard to believe that their debut is almost 20 years old - it sounds just as good as their recent stuff. Here's a new Young Fathers track, off their newly-announced album WHITE MEN ARE BLACK MEN TOO: https://soundcloud.com/youngfathers/rain-or-shine-2

The only ones I remember buying are...Backstreet Boys' Millenium (:v:), A few of the first Linkin Park albums, RHCP's Stadium Arcadium, and My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade. Black Parade was the last one I bought until a few years ago, when I was lucky enough to get an early, signed copy of Early Rarities from Say Anything. A three disc set of their old, old, old stuff remastered. Totally worth it.
if i can't get something on spotify or bandcamp i'll buy a cd and rip it. nothing wrong with buying CDs, especially if the profit is closer to the artist (which it probably would be in this context) [editline]3rd February 2015[/editline] and it's a nice little bit of merch i suppose
This is pretty late, (two years), but the Addicts lounge seemed to really like it so i'll repost it here. It's an entire album of biggie expertly mashed up with flume's debut album. It's fucking better than it, better yet, it's only 30 minutes.
I still regret not buying Destiny's Child's "Bootyliscious" on Vinyl. Saw it at a charity shop for a quid.
sup guys I make this kind of shitty trance, wip tho'. I'd love to know whether someone likes this kind of music enjoy
tbh that sounded like every other trance song ive heard. u need some less generic sounds. that SHHHHHHHHHH noise is in like every trance album ever.
Anyone know some good pensive, lower tone songs with a female singer?
whats up dudes.. For a couple months now I've been getting more into electronic music, Synthpop/futuresynth.. John Carpentery stuff (btw his new album is great), techno-y stuff.. And pretty much since I did I've been wanting to make my own stuff, but I have zero idea how to do make music. Ive never composed before or written anything etc, most experience I have is a couple months of basic guitar learning a good... 4 years ago? I have no real idea where to look n I know there are musicians here so yea.. If anyone knows at least a basic starting point, or a pointing in the right direction, it'd be super appreciated!! [editline]5th February 2015[/editline] im meaning in terms of like what is ur recommended software.. Any tutorials etc.. Plugins.. As I said I basically know nothing lmao

I recommend you to look tutorials on music composition (in FL), song structures, and lot's of practice.
Gonna see Dr. Dog and PHOX with my sister this Saturday, too excited.

I'll definitely be researching how the stuff works as well as composition etc. I have quite a lot of free time just now, more than I'd like (currently being shafted in terms of work hours), which is part of why I decided to try and do something creative/productive with it, and as I can definitely see it being something I'd enjoy I'm prepared to put the time in. thx buddy
Is FL Studio good if you intend on using a good amount of audio samples along with your music?
if I'm using samples I'd rather use fl studio than anything else
That's good because for like the past month I've been wanting to learn to make music with lots of audio samples not really just for listening, but also because I think the process of gathering, isolating, and placing samples sounds fun and rewarding.
I've heard ableton is better than FL at handling audio samples, but I just can't deal with it's interface. The worflow of FL just seems easier to handle for me.
