Whitesnake is fuckin class.
And Sade, after looking at the above post. Check out the bass guitar in this track, it's my favorite Sade tune:
Yea I've heard FL is a good starting place, I'll look into it. I'll definitely be researching how the stuff works as well as composition etc. I have quite a lot of free time just now, more than I'd like (currently being shafted in terms of work hours), which is part of why I decided to try and do something creative/productive with it, and as I can definitely see it being something I'd enjoy I'm prepared to put the time in. thx buddy
Don't know how useful it will be but the AB guide to Music Theory is one of the most useful musical reference books available, you can get it for like £3 on Amazon.

Pretty much anything by London Grammar.
More of the first one. (@Ak'z)
And tone as in production, I guess I should have clarified a bit more but I am also looking for something acoustic-y aswell. All of these are great though.
Also I like London Grammar but something about the way she sings just doesn't mix well with the rest of the song to me.
Purity Ring's new album leaked and it's fucking fantastic.
I love absolutely everything about this track, and the rest of the soundtrack too. The riffs, the electro-industrial tone, dubstep cues, it's just pure eargasm.
This is how I want to make my music in future.

So Primus, Cage The Elephant, My Morning Jacket and Modest Mouse are coming to Louisville this summer. I'm so fucking hype.
Can you guys recommend any artists like Scott Walker's modern stuff? Not necessarily sounding similar, but I just love the way he delivers his vocals.
Holy fuck I tried tried ableton for the first time and it is awful for anything other than live shows.
So many steps to do the simplest thing.

hah nice one lad
thanks im here all week
saw PHOX and Dr. Dog at First Ave in Minneapolis
great show, even though PHOX's vocals were super drowned out. They played a new song which was neat, and Dr. Dog killed it.

its amazing
Hey kiddies and gamers - here are the facts.
1. This ISN'T new Paul McCartney music as in album. This song was written to go over the end credits of a video game. It's a "one-off" tune.
2. He did the track for free and is not receiving back end royalties from the game.
3. Being the music to play over credits, what kind of son did you expect? Picture end credits rolling and the song fits well.
4. I admit - the video is cheesy. He should have stayed out of appearing in it.
5. Paul McCartney's "throw away" songs are better than 90% of what passes as music today.
6. This has NOTHING to do with the music of The Beatles or even his past solo music.
7. Yes, the song is boring but I bet you can't write a better song.•
Beatles fans are some of the worst people
why cant they accept that the beatles are only considered good because Mccartney got a free pass since he worked with Kanye?
The beatles are nothing compared to migos let's face it
