Does there exist media player software with two different genre tags, one for the individual track and one for the album it's on?
I would assume such a thing would require a custom id3 system which would be horribly incompatible with everything else, but god damn it would make my music library a lot more organized.
A lot of the albums I have are quite varied genre-wise, but I don't like to put different genres for different tracks in an album because it justs looks disorganized and messes up the genre list.
They way I do it now is by picking the two most prominent genres on an album and tagging it as genre/genre. For example, Lone's Reality Testing is classified in my library as Trip-Hop/Ambient House and Galaxy Garden as House/Progressive Breaks.
A lot of the chiptune and VGM I have on library gets difficult to classify. I don't like calling VGM with FM sounds chiptune, because I kinda reserve that for 8-bit chiptunes, but I don't like using general terms like VGM. Also the musical styles that chiptunes emulate varies greatly on these albums.

Songs From The Box is such a great fucking album, Just Jammin' is great and the Same Cup at the end is unexpectedly great also.
Sucks they've kind of went on a semi-hiatus down spell thing, I really, really wanted them to take off, the self titled album is my top 10 of albums released in the last couple of years.
Please help me find the original song from this remix, I can't for the life of me remember the original composer, I think it's from a C64 game.
