first vinyls and now cassettes. i'm gonna get ahead of these hipsters and start only listening to music on the recently obsolete format known as itunes.
CDs definitely more hipster rn
Can't wait for 8tracks to come back.
i got my big muff pi today and let me tell you this thing sounds sweet as hell
CDs definitely more hipster rn
i only listen to music on my phone or youtube tbh, just way more convenient my phone is always within reach and on youtube I can just listen to whatever pops into my head + explore new stuff by clicking random related videos
For the most part, when I buy music, it has to be in some sort of physical form: vinyl, CD, cassette. I've been collecting CDs and vinyls for sometime now (since I was 14 or 15 - now 20). I can't boast a large collection, but I have a decent amount.
CDs definitely more hipster rn
I think this is a matter of preference. I like being able to just throw a CD in and that's that. Obviously it's that easy digitally too. One of my cars though, only had a CD player, therefore I listened CDs all the time (actually, only one because the case got stuck on Tool's 10,000 Days). One of my house mate too has quite a few hip hop CDs. He likes using CDs in his car because he doesn't have to be concerned with phone while driving. We also have a large stereo system in our living room (old 90's Sony system). The way we have aux setup is via cassette aux. CDs and vinyls sound the best on this system because the cassette aux adds a buzzing.
I like CDs because they do not take up a ton of space physically and can fit nicely on most standard shelves and stuff. Also they are really easy to rip.
If you want vinyl sound get a nice tube preamp like the Bravo Audio v2 or something else with 12ax7 tubes. Bam, high end rolloff and that nice distortion that all the kids like even on your digital stuff. The even order harmonics give it a nice lush/warm sound. Although you will need a DAC. Justin Biebers new album is much better than his previous stuff, but I'm still not going to never forgive him for saying expensive sounding sounds. And I feel bad for how awkward skrillex appears in that video too. I probably shouldn't post here though. Didn't feel it went well previously but no one I know irl likes more than pop music and halofreak472 is just incredibly specific in his taste and that taste is only 90s music like dude wat [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] Crywolf's new album is amazing and is a drastic change compared to his previously more melodic dubstep oriented sound. Very atmospheric. Reminds me of artists more like Arstidir or Pascal Pinon

I translated another song! Its not a direct translation as I tried to keep the rhyming and pace going The music video is gold too Sophie/ Mercedes Band Lyric translation:
Sophie hasn't fallen asleep at night for half a year now Even the tokes don't do much help through the battle This loneliness - Look at what it made her Sophie's a second from ending Sophie scampers round the streets to find herself a savior Just let him take, she knows already what to give This endless game has beaten her time after time Sophie's a second from losing She sighs because its harsh He pours her Stella in a rush She bends as it drops way too much He gazes and it makes her Tremble from head to toe As she pulls out the sweet lipstick As a little girl, she'll bring up, always wanted to be a singer A composer or a fragile ballerina And how she loved so much to ride on her granddads motorbike Watching mom up on the central arena Sophie doesn't eat, the cigarette is enough for her For hours the coffee keeps her hunger detain This skinny figure is all that’s left to wear Eventually only bones will remain He doesn't know why she's aching She reaches in because it's happening As quickly as the finger that he's sending She spreads her legs, he's inserting Tremble from head to toe She whispers 'god it feels so good' And to the gents they make their way the buttons may have burst away And burst as well, are the faucets of her tears And it's been long since she has thought if she could have another shot To be collected like the garbage in the streets
listening to fall out boys first album. i never listened to it as a wee lad, only their popular stuff. it's pretty vanilla stuff but it sure takes me back.
save rock and roll was a decent album, american beauty or w/e their latest album was called was just so bland it feels like they tried to make every song a #1 pop hit so as an album its very boring to listen to but picking out a few tracks and putting them into a playlist makes those songs sound actually ok
