Never listened to Health before, but some of Xiu Xiu more electronic stuff reminds me of it (Stupid in the Dark). Crystal Castles and Alice Glass seem really close. My Bloody Valentine has a similar hypnotic effect but is a lot less electronic.

new tame impala album was definitely not as good as lonerism
when the australian music awards came round courtney barnett beat out tame impala and everyone got really butthurt but it was well deserved imo

I was introduced to them via this song, can't say I've liked any other songs yet, guess it's not really my type of music, but this particular song just really hit the spot

Just sat down and listened to Bob Dylan's Self-Portrait front to back and tbh it's a pretty decent record. Honestly as a double album it works fine like it manages to hold its 70-odd min run time respectably and it really doesn't sound that bad - there's a lot of iffiness about it like its not that sure of itself, and that version of Like A Rolling Stone was.. Something (but the version of She Belongs To Me was a good one). Definitely wouldn't argue with the production issues tho- it lacks a lot of punch that is potentially there and it overall sounds kinda weak but like... I would say it's an alright record. A 5,6/10. Far from his 60s work but I enjoyed it mostly. Not even close to "worst rock album of all time", but I always did assume that those labels were hyperbole backed up by the quality of his earlier work-- and I'd say that's exactly the case. I would listen again.
