the best is young thug aka thugga
I like young thug but every time he's mentioned I always think about
Yeah this is probably where it comes from, I listen to hip-hop for the production/beats rather than the lyrics. Not to mention I didn't relate to TPAB because it's almost like...it was made for a specific group of people that I'm not a part of :o what a concept [editline]4th March 2016[/editline] also everyone should listen to Lil Ugly Mane, he's kind of the best thing ever
I too can only enjoy entertainment that I can directly relate to. Only good movie I ever seen was Boyhood. Only good musician is Death Cab for Cutie.

That's my best friend, best friend.

Yeah I'll agree with you, I can see the qualities in TPAB but I don't feel it as much. The closest I can say I can relate to the issues is growing up in an area with middle class and poor folks going to the same schools, I knew people who experienced some of the shit he talks about, people trapping, gang violence, etc. but I don't have the first hand experiences to truly make a meaningful deep connection. I much prefer GKMC over it because it tells the story from the perspective of Kenny rather than a commentary on it.

i cant believe jeff buckley died after recording one album, i would have loved to see him live today.
jeff buckley was cool. also his second unfinished album is v good. also live recording v nice. one thing i have gr8 respect is how he loved qawwali music.. not many white guys will openly proclaim this nowadays, it being islamic and all :/

Or maybe insinuating at whatever islamophobism flourishing nowadays, yea that sucks major But yea devotional music or songs tends to be really really beautiful stuff imo found this shortdoc (or long trailer for feature film apparently) when youtoobing some qawwali I found to be p. nice :)
nt so much about islamaphobism but rather that noone has any ballz these days.
i like american music
These were very nice as well, seems to be popular internationally overall too. With Tahir Faridi who actually made that trailer or whatever https://fanna.bandcamp.com/album/tawheed (can listen to it all fully or buy for 8 bucks) also a nice one by Abida Parveen (she was in the trailer as well @9:35)
Fuck yeah the setlist for the maiden show im going to rocks, the only song missing i wanna hear is 2 minutes to midnight. I cant wait to hear hallowed be thy name and children of the damned live
what is the fun in knowing the setlist of the show before u go the hell
If they were only playing their new album i wouldnt bother going [editline]9th March 2016[/editline] Plus its 2 months away ill easily forget by then
Seeing Jonny Greenwood, Shye Ben Tzur, and the Rajasthan Express performing the music from Junun on Friday at the Barbican. I'm pretty hyped.
I keep forgetting Junun even exists, is it worth a watch? I'm interested to see a Paul Thomas Anderson-helmed documentary
i'm still jamming to early 00s killswitch engage tbh [editline]ahd[/editline] well its more accurate to say that i haven't stopped listening to them since the early 00s
what is the fun in knowing the setlist of the show before u go the hell
sometimes it's good to know what kind of songs they'll play tbh, not always but it's interesting i admit i do look up setlists a lot
Music section, use your combined mind powers to make Underworld do a show on the east coast (of the fucken US). Tried to go out to LA last year for the Dubnobasswithmyheadman anniversary tour, but I was unable to swing it. Playing on the other side of the continent would make things simpler.
dubnobasswithmyheadman was boring idk how i used to like it beaucoup fish and second toughest are miles better
