How about this new Sufjan song tho His next album is being labeled as a return to his folk roots, so don't expect anything like Illinois or Age of Adz.
We Were Dead is probably one of my favorite albums. I can just feel the power in Isaac's voice in some of those songs. I didn't get a tattoo of the anchor balloon just because it looked neat. Lonesome Crowded West is incredible and I can totally agree that they had more raw emotion back then though.
My favorite Modest Mouse albums have always been This is a Long Drive and Moon & Antarctica. I really need to give We Were Dead a better listen - I enjoyed Good News, but I honestly didn't like Lonesome Crowded West as much as the other albums. I prefer overproduced shit - I liked the rawness, but it was a bit much for me at certain points.
ty based franke for avatar 8-)

probably late but i'm listening to jeff bridges' sleeping tapes and this is really neat http://www.dreamingwithjeff.com/#music-section
I had a dream last night where I was in the basement of the family house and Steve Howe (lead guitarist for Yes) was there for some reason and we talked about getting the 1972 lineup back again and I sung some songs and my voice sounded just like Jon Anderson.
Starting this new Hot Sugar album. I'm very excited.
I usually don't listen to Bladee, but I really like Dragonfly. [editline]17th February 2015[/editline] J. Cole is gonna be in town! Wichita rarely gets any rappers to come by, expect for Tech 9, he is here every year.
Wrote a Horn Sextet for fun.
Fuck me, Clipping's CLPPNG. is super fucking good. haven't listened to CLPPNG yet but Midcity was pretty solid, especially Killer
On the topic of noise hop, who else is excited for the new dalek? I sure as hell am
Starting this new Hot Sugar album. I'm very excited.
It was ok.
I found a harmonica lying around, but I can't seem to identify what key it's in, as it's not marked on the harmonica anywhere. I have no clue how to figure out the key as I probably can't trust myself to do it by listening. The harmonica seems to be diatonic, though.
one of my favorite albums from last year the fact that an alarm clock actually works as a backing beat and the song still manages to pack an emotional punch is fucking unbelievable
It's a great album but tonight really spoils it for me, and I don't like how apathetic it comes across
It would just be so much better without Tonight.
I got The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked Extra yesterday. [t]http://i.imgur.com/xSBt384.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/1WjSllT.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/DET0P0R.jpg[/t]
On the topic of noise hop, who else is excited for the new dalek? I sure as hell am
damn i didnt even know they had something coming out. their shit is good. maybe this one will top their debut.
Tonight isn't really a bad track why are you all hating on it?
Dark Sky Paradise leaked for all the Big Sean fans around here. spoiler: it's good. also, unbelievably, Charles Hamilton signed to Republic and he's planning on making a new album. I can't fucking wait, I loved early Charles Hamilton stuff before he had all his mental health problems and his new snippets sound so clear and focused and FUCK I want more.
On the topic of noise hop, who else is excited for the new dalek? I sure as hell am
new dalek? fuck yes... and if they're playing live I'm there m8.

You guys know anything that can convert large amounts of wavs to MP3? Lorn apparently dropped an album on Soundcloud for free, but rather not have it all in wav cause that'd take up a ton of space.
I think Foobar has a built-in converter.
Thanks, converted the wavs to 320 MP3 (oddly only like half of them were wavs) and tagged files properly. Since it was free on his Soundcloud anyways, anyone want the tagged/mp3 version?
I need more SDRE, what's their best after Diary? I need to get back on the hype train and find some new shit this year. I didn't pay much attention last year and only ended up getting Modern Baseball's new LP and a couple others. Still haven't given Hyperview a proper listen either

Still haven't given Hyperview a proper listen either
Try their self-titled (aka LP2 or the Pink Album). It's also really great and imo either on par or slightly below Diary. And some emo highlights of 2014 for me: Dads - I'll Be the Tornado The World is... - Between Bodies (a bit weaker than Whenever, If Ever though imo) Nai Harvest - Hold Open My Head Also there's Home, Like Noplace There Is by The Hotelier, but still haven't got really into it. Also You're Gonna Miss It All, which you said you already got was AOTY for me. [editline]19th February 2015[/editline] oh and if you like Sunny Day real Estate check out Mineral too.
