i sometimes put on "toe" but that's it and what i also like is that some of them border on jazz

but stuff like god is an astronaut or whatever is too atmospheric for me to put on by myself, but it is good background music for certain kinds of parties

suicide boys just cover old memphis tracks and adds 808s, bones is more cloud rap with a memphis influence and lil ugly mane has a bunch of very distorted tracks with older sounding drums and is the closest to a "modern" dirty memphis artist ever since three 6 mafia went crunk

the old ass sample, the slightly cheap drums and vocal cuts are all very old school memphis. The breakdown at the end with the overly distorted kicks as well fit it, in comparison with:

yeh it's dirty and distorted, but it doesn't have the hooks, bones is all about a single verse and short af songs. He doesn't have the old flow and he's influenced by different artists than the old memphis guys were, he's more trap than memphis

honestly i dont get the elitism with what's metal and whats -core. i'm sure there's SOME difference but honestly the lines are so blurry it shouldn't even matter.

same. i usually just tell people "i try not to limit myself to one genre, i listen to a bit of everything" but once i start naming artists it's pretty clear what i listen to

Kind of shitty how they are supporting Greenpeace though since they have done some really shitty stuff like opposing Golden Rice and are really only politically focused instead of actually being scientific nowadays.
