TBH I don't even know what to say to that.
From an upcoming new album by an ace band I've been listening to recently called Drenge, really hoping they stop by my home town on the next tour so I can see them live.
I browsed through most of the thread and couldn't find this, so thought I might post it. Shoegaze band from Russia, they released an album, Everything Else Matters, a month ago, great stuff.
I've been meaning to listen to them. Unrelated, St. Vincent just played the most amazing encore I've ever seen.
the new Mumford & Sons single sounds like a Coldplay b-side every band's gotta do their thing but man it just sounds so generic and shitty
i only listen to 80's metal mike do u have a problem with that busta??
this is what you're saying

Apparently Scott Walker did Lullaby with Ute Lemper before Sun O))). Really wish he had a compilation including his stuff not on his albums other than 5 easy pieces because getting a massive album for just a few songs imo seems like overkill when I already have the rest of his discography.

I'd only heard a few Ramones songs in the past but I bought all of their albums a couple of weeks ago. I really like their music, especially their earlier albums.

What sort of musical genre would you classify this track as?
What sort of musical genre would you classify this track as?
stoner rock/psychedelic rock, it's a fairly common combination, though your song structure and use of dynamics and pacing are uncommon for stoner rock
Looking to make a bit of an upgrade to my setup since my little 20W amp just isn't cutting it. However, I still have a pretty tight budget, and considering I only have 2 speakers rated for 75W, I don't need a whole ton of power. I found this and was wondering if anybody had any experience with it and if it's any good or not. Other suggestions for amplifiers/receivers in the sub-$150 range would be appreciated.

Just caused a storm on some "Mashup Artist's" Facebook page, because it was basically someone else remix with 2 Mario Samples put on it. I ended up going back and looking at some of my favourite mashups and I thought I'd share: If anyone knows who did this originally please let me know, it was just a "Various Artists" mp3 I found in my dad's music collection and somehow found on YouTube. [editline]12th March 2015[/editline]
still my fave acoustic cover of an electronic song since it first got posted tbh [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] I just love Igor saying "yes oh my gosh" it's kinda adorable
Oh my god thank you.
http://hannikohl.bandcamp.com/ holy shit, Hanni Kohl might be reuiniting??? they recorded an album apparently, i only just found out about it through another band posting it on facebook also i'm actually really surprised by how different it is, but there's still a touch of the old material, and it's really good, really interesting stuff. if you're not familiar, this is how they sounded before:
stoner rock/psychedelic rock, it's a fairly common combination, though your song structure and use of dynamics and pacing are uncommon for stoner rock
Thanks for listening mate, yeah I can definietly hear the stoner/psychadelic rock vibes for sure, glad you took the time and helped me out on finding the genre :)
Are there any good foreign, non-english hip hop artists out there? Particularly french would be cool. I'm not talking about normal rap, I'm talking about more melodic R&B, hippety hop like young people like to call it. A good example of what I wish to find is from 1:54-2:26 in this song: https://vimeo.com/10725770 ( P'tit Kawa - Karimouche )
Here's a German hip-hop song. Here's a French hip-hop song.
Thanks for the suggestions mate. They're alright, but not exactly what I was looking for. Particularly female hip-hop artists would be cool, but I'm more specifically looking for hip-hop that experiments a bit and is a bit different. Like P'tit Kawa posted above, or the chorus in this; Or even moving a bit out of the realm of hip-hop into something like this: I hope I'm not being too specific here. It's just that I really love the sound of that (particularly in P'tit Kawa) and I have never been able to find anything similar, which makes me sad.
this is what you're saying
Wasn't this in a Tony Hawk's game?
What sort of musical genre would you classify this track as?
It's got a strong air of Stone Roses about it but they're another band I can't quite define
That's how u know it's good
didnt franke make u an its always sunny avatar??? where is it son??

I've listened to so much Vaporwave Rap that I now prefer autotuned vocals [editline]15th March 2015[/editline] send help [editline]15th March 2015[/editline] but legit this track gets me emotional and I don't mean in that shitty "omg so sad :'( ~FIJI~" meme way
