This month for hip-hop has been insane. New Earl is great, digging that lofi production.

I'm trying to buy a vinyl that isn't exactly common and I have no idea where to start looking. Does anyone have any advice on hunting it down, or where to look?

I decided to pull up my old music library I haven't touched in the last year because I'd been listening to too much J-pop. This library consists of mostly new rock of various forms, but had some strange things mixed in. Putting it on shuffle, I had the following sequence of tracks play: Minority - Green Day, Caramelldansen (original, not speedy version, but I have that one too) - Caramell, Intoxication - Distubed. I have things in this library in English, French, Swedish, Russian, Japanese, German, as well as two songs in languages I don't know the name of or that don't really have one, Tunak Tunak Tun (one of the various Indian languages) and Chacaron Macaron (which is basically in gibberish).

just came back from sleater kinney... front row was the shit, except from arseholes trying to shove ahead. However, what the chinese crowding technique has taught me is to simply lean back against the force to disable the twatness.

Holy shit, I missed all the music from this last week and I already had a backlog. Just finished listening to Twin Shadow's Eclipse. Twice. Fucking love it, but 80s-inspired pop is my weakness. I think it's better than his first two albums, even though most people would disagree with me. Absolutely love it. Almost done with Earl's new album. Super cohesive, great style, really really enjoying it. Not something I'll be listening to super regularly, especially seeing as I'm still bumping Drake's mixtape and To Pimp a Butterfly every day, but it's miles ahead of Doris. Still gotta listen to Mr. Wonderful and Jenny Death. Too much fucking music, 2015's already better than 2014.

looking @ the wiki page.. only 2 tracks over 10 mins.. longest is 13.. 40 min run time.. groce.. Will still listen to it at some point though but it seems like it's inherently shooting itself in the foot in terms of matching the scale of previous records purely on length but obviously I'll have to hear it to judge. Still interested cos new godspeed is new godspeed.

yeah i was really disappointed when i initially found out it was really short as well it's actually very similar to 'Allelujah! in that it's 2 tracks of good ol' GY!BE post-rock goodness and 2 tracks of shorter drones, though i feel it's better paced and overall just grander and better this time around so yeah, it's not really much of a full album, but more of a 'Allelujah! 2, taking the same formula and improving on it hoping they'll get back to proper full albums next time, though, this and 'Allelujah aren't very fulfilling or satisfying enough for GY!BE albums regardless, very solid album, first and last track are fantastic post-rock climaxes and the second track is a pretty cool drone, third track is forgettable

on my third listen of To Pimp A Butterfly I finally feel the funk elements and imagery the album version of i is waaaay better than the single too

Working lots now. Listening to a lot less music which I'm not living so trying to get back into the groove. Grabbed a bunch of vinyl from my holiday which is good, will need to give them some study. Also getting way into film photography shop been picking up cheap cameras to mess around with which had been fun. I'm looking the slower pace i think. Fewer shenanigans like in the old days. Also gave the first tracks of TPaB a listen and it sounds killer. Will def listen through it all soon

just saw Van morrison, he's still got it m8 thing is... on the journey back I was sitting next to this chinese girl having a conversation in chinese across the carriage with another girl. she was goddamn YELLING yao MIngs right across the whole fucking train for 8 stations.. WHAT's worse is that the girl she was talking to was DIRECTLY BENEATH a sushi advert. I cannot believe i'm still alive :-(
